Totally unrelated note:

Finished modding and tweaking my Solasmancing [canon] Inquisitor and here she is (warning, 2 large images):

Spoiler

Full list of mods used and notes on the tweaks and stuff here if you want them.

The hair texture and brows really do give the look you seemed to be going for. And the change from Skyhold PJs. :P

I would mod a couple of things on my mage, but my PC would run at a slideshow if I tried to use the right settings. Alas.

I spend a lot of time solemnly wondering how compatible with continued entanglement with the Inquisitor (romanced or friend) Solas' plans and endgoals truly are

Not very, I suspect.

Lavellan and I will hope till the bitter end.

Which specs does Solas comment on? I know he comments on KE and RM.edit oh and necro

Yeah I've only been able to get him to comment on the Mage specs.

She looks amazing!  Reminds me: I need to grab the eyebrows 4 women mod.  I'm using the male version of Gryff's eyebrows and I like them, I just want something a bit more feminine.  And the hair really suits her (I actually thought of your Lavellan when I downloaded it).

Maybe that's how we ultimately defeat them.

giphy.gif

I personally see June being the least amused of them all. Especially in my worldstate. Here's why.

This happens while drinking a nice cup of tea by the way.

Falon'Din: June, have you read what some of these 'Dalish' say about you?
June: supposedly not much, but what?
Falon'din: That you are married to your dear sister Sylaise.
June: What?!? *looks at Dirthamen*
Dirthamen:*nods*
Falon'din: Oh, and listen to this, you know that little Inquisition organization? The one Fen'Harel got mixed up with?
June:*grumpy nod*
Falon'Din: Apparently their leader, who is a very powerful mage I might add, had your vallaslin on her! She would have been bound to you, but now she doesn't have it anymore!
June: What? How? Who?
Falon'Din: Who do you think?
June:*looks at Dirthamen*
Dirthamen:*silent howling like a wolf while laughing*
June:*storms off*
Falon'Din and Dirthamen *fist bump*

At least grab one of the PJ mods.  You don't need to use higher settings for them, and there's a lovely set of Dalish themed ones.

Thank you Cee! :) @Drosophila I'll hold u when it ends tragically dont worry friend  :D Same Moirin cheers for the feedback. I'm a Reaver and only Cass and IB had something to say.

Illyria - thank youuu! I'd def recc the eyebrows 4 men and women mods. I actually initially tried Gryff with the same style from the men's mod first as both sets of brows are able to be used for both genders (which is awesome), then tried the equivalent one from the women mod, didn't notice any difference tbh (I suspect this is because of my character's appearance and my own unobservantness, not cause of the mod itself) so just stuck with the last-installed one as it looked fine to me! Also love how people see things and think of my character haha, no words for how rad that is  in fact the creator of Alternate Sidecut (style Gryff had in the last "look at my Inquisitor guys" post I made) was the one who recced the new cut to me on the basis that it reminded them of Gryff O:  rad

apparently i'm grinning like a loon today

I love that book (and the animated film). El-ahrairah, "Prince with a Thousand Enemies".

Sounds about right. :P

Single Art Interruption

Beautiful Digital Art of Solas healing Delylah Trevelyn after Haven.

http://wyntersosltic...en-II-543492527

She has other digital art of her Trevelyn on her page. Some of the best digital art work I have ever seen. Sadly, this is the only one with Solas in it.

So on the earlier subject of modding Dragon Age games...

I've got Nexus all ready to go. For some reason, I'm struggling with not having some of the FNV textures going all squigly on me,  <_< but I've also been trying to dip my toe into the Origins pool of mods. Naturally the first thing that popped up under was something along the lines of, "Improved Male Dwarf Genitalia Texture" complete with gallery pictures.

Let's just say their ancestors aren't proud.  ^_^

Anyone have any recommendations? (Yes, I know I've asked this before, but this time I've actually figured out that Nexus lets you sign up without paying.  )

Speaking of strange mods. http://www.nexusmods...tion/mods/429/?This is definitely one of my nominations for 'well I guess someone wanted that' mods for DAI. :D

I don't even remember what I used for Origins other than hair mods. HAIR MODS. A must.

Might have also used some face packs and the teeth improvement.

Art again. ;)

Lavellan dabbing Solas' forehead after the long night at Halamshiral. Art by limpstella.

That hot Korean Solavellan comic was finally given a translation. (NSFW)

Solas and Lavellan as merpeople. (Now I want to try those dollmaker sites too.)

"Keeping Secrets". (Slightly NSFW for nudity)

Solas and Lavellan being all tender.

Solas as a bird.

Hobo Apostates and Fancy Mages. :D

@Caddius - Here are a couple of suggestions. ;)

ZDF - (Zevran Dialogue Fixes) This actually fixes dialogues for Zev, Morrigan and Alistair. So it is a nice easy addition.

ZevranASAP - If you enjoy Zev as a companion (or LI B) ), and like being able to "build" him earlier, this mod is definitely worth it. It will simply trigger his arrival directly after Lothering, so it works quite seamlessly.

Skip the Fade - Obviously, if you enjoy going through the labyrinth, then ignore this. But, if you just want to move directly to the companion nightmares (and get all the attribute points immediately), this is a great time saving mod.

NBAO - Ummmm.....yes. I still recommend this. If you decide to use any "romance" enhancing mods, it helps with....immersion. *cue Barry White groves* (it does give you options to choose resting, half mast, and full salute. S'all good.)

I have tried out Zev, Ali's and Morrigan's romance mods. All are good.

This should at least get you started. The others have already mentioned hair, eye/makeup coloring, and other CC mods, so I opted not to repeat. Have fun!!! :D

Thank you kindly. :D

*cracks knuckles* All right, Nexus, time for you to bend to my will. Give me all the things!

So I was playing Fallout: New Vegas with the For the Enclave and Someguy mods installed. For the Enclave triggers at level 15, and my new character isn't exactly there yet. (I develop backstories as I go. All that I know that he is somehow German, and skill wise is the unholy love-child of the Heavy and the Medic. He looks like Otto von Bismark. It pleases me. ^_^ ) But the Someguy one shows up at different places. The ever so erudite first companion, *Expletive Deleted*, showed up just fine in Goodsprings. No voice-acting because that submod was a quick gag project. Then I track down the start of the main quest. A few graphical glitches, and the quest-giver who should be voiced is mute. Okay, then.

Then I run into the second companion. His face is a festive purple, his eyepatch is black as night, his shoes are tied, and the rest of him is invisible.   I'm not quite sure what I did wrong.

@Caddius, some of these are on the BSN- Elf update and Qunari update as well as HF LOTC's hair I think

I also recommend picking up Large Address Aware if you have a newer system as it will make Origins run like butter. I ran Skip the Fade for awhile. but it did not play nice with my other mods, but it could just be that the Fade just does not play nice with my system period. DAModder is also a mod manager program, looking at what I have there, I would add Advanced Tactics, No helmet Hack, Combat Tweaks, Alistair Romance Momentos (Awakening), Alistair Dark Ritual, Morrigan Ritual, Qwinn's Unoffical DA:O Fix pack 2.0, Universal voices and Witcher Aesthetics. With Origins, something just go in the override folder, somethings need the Mod manager. Read the readmes, twice, I lot of what I run had to be layered in and picked through for incompatibilities because of overlap. Morrigan's restoration Pack and Zevran Dialogue fix is a good example, they both fix things with a lot of characters and both of the readmea will tell you to keep either theirs or the other mods fix but you cannot run both.

@coldwetn0se

Do you have a screenshot of said statue? I missed that

Anyone wonder if all the owl statues might have significance? Next to wolves they also seem to be everywhere...

@niamaduir - I DO have a picture of the statue! :) But, I already shut off my desktop for the night. Will post it tomorrow. The statue is located right next to the entrance to the main Venetori camp,up in the hilltop area.

Considering the lack of "things" in the waste, and what is there is the dwarven ruins and the previous Orlesian Emperor's version of "Mount Rushmore", it just really caught me off guard.

I broke New Vegas because I installed too many mods.  That was fun.

EDIT:

I notice you said that you were having FONV texture problems.  That's one of the signs of too many mods.  Do you have FVEdit and the mod combining script?  Because taking your mod number down to under 139 works wonders.

I broke mine with two. Beat that! :P

When I was ten or so, I discovered mods for the first time. Morrowind.

Ah, those were the days. I never got anything done because I kept getting no mods that invalidated my save games, and eventually my computer rebelled and burnt to a crisp.

Seconding all of these except IA and white teeth.  I find the former conflicts with too much and the latter is too clean and modern.

I'd also recommend the Dalish Mage Origin (and dialogue fixes), Tucked Hair, DA Redesigned (Lore version), Dalish armour retexture, True Dalish (it does conflict with some other mods, but I mix and match the stuff in there with other mods anyway), Wynne - The Flip Side (best Wynne mod around.  Makes her look like her concept art and not a generic NPC), Enchanter robes mod v7, Universal Dye Kit, the Winter Forge (these two are a must have.  Seriously), Kirkwall Exports, Back to Ferelden and Loincloth Fashions (none of these conflict with each other so they're fine to use.)

There are actually 2 of those statues in the same Venetori camp area area one is by itself against a rock face the other is on one side of an arch with a male figure wearing a venetori style helmet on the other side. The same female figure I think appears on the supports for the broken bridge/aqueduct across the frozen lake near the village in Emprise du Lion. They're probably just reusing art assets. Some people thought it was a female qunari. It was discussed before here: http://forum.bioware...astes-question/

IA took what I liked about the mods like Kirkwall Exports and such and made a nice one stop shop for me, but it is massive and can conflict with a lot of things. I did have to do a lot of weeding through to get it to play nice with DA Redesigned and my other mods, but now I really can't imagine the game without it. For me those two mods are like trying to play Skyrim without Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases, I just can't. But it's definitely not everyone's slice of cake. White Teeth is too bright, but there was something I had installed that was incompatible with Realistic Teeth, and I just wanted something other than those zombie teeth everyone had.
