I reallyreally liked everybody's new outfits, though. Sera looked so fierce and Dorian looked so handsome and eee I'm so happy with this equipment system.
Am I the only one who was all eeee when the Inquisitor jumped off that plank walkway during the ingame footage? I hate always needing to follow a set walk path. I was all, YES, to see her take such a high jump. I am so looking forward to the exploration in this game. It feels like it's taking so many of the things I've liked about non-BioWare games in the past and adding them to the BioWare way of working story and characters. I get the feeling that this is going to be THE Game. The one to rule them all. As far as gameplay goes and that other than minor tweaks they can use this same set up for all the future DA IP games! I hope I'm not getting my hopes too high on this.

NOT AT ALL. I am so looking forward to shortcuts instead of having to walk the same line all the time ahhh. I really do like what I've seen of the gameplay more and more... I just wish they'd show the PC INTERFACE. I can't stand controller layouts. They tend to be cumbersome and contrived and to drive me crazzzy. So having to see that stupid wheel and stupid limited shortcut cluster in the corner, it's like AUGH. It's so ugly to my eye and it's really taking away from it, for me at least.
That said whenever they do get around to ditching the XBox controller (pls let it be soon) I'll probably explode with excitement sooo.

Nope, I squeaked at that, too! 
I've said it before and I'll say it again: my idea of The Perfect Game™ is a lovechild between BioWare and Bethesda - BioWare's story, companions, and characters merged with Bethesda's large areas of world/exploration and more freedom of movement. While DAI is not full open world, we've been told the areas we can go are HUGE, and while we can't swim, we can still jump and not be so set on a specific walking path, so... I'm getting pretty stoked that I might finally have The Perfect Game™.
[EXCITED SQUIRMING] This is what I've been thinking for awhile now. That Solas is the Main Mage Follower for DAI. And while I personally wouldn't mind him 'pulling an Anders', because I love Anders and his entire story-arc, I don't think we'll have another game where the Main Mage Companion does something morally questionable, possibly leading to the end of the world as we know it. Maybe it could be a rogue this time. Or a Warrior!
I was jumping on my chair with the inquisitor, really.

I was pretty excited about the jumping too! No longer will my heroines and heroes be defeated by small rocks on the ground!
I don't quite have your optimism but it does look like it will be an amazing game. 
David Gaider has an interesting post in the Gamescom thread, thought I'd bring it over here since we were swooning talking about what was going on in the hand-grabbing scene (bolding mine):
We have a lot of discussion regarding what level of spoilers are okay to provide when it comes to trailers. We have to provide some... the only way to not give away any spoilers would be to reveal nothing at all about the story, and that's not something we want to do. It's too much of a big blank, especially when it comes to BioWare games which revolve around their story and are known for such.
That said, the spoilers we reveal may not be the ones people think they are. I've seen a number of interpretations of what we've shown which are, quite frankly, completely wrong. Some intentionally so, as the trailer is put together in such a way as to be ever so slightly misleading. "You realize that, when they see that shot, they're going to think [this certain thing]?" "Yup, absolutely." So people will absolutely speculate away, but I'd suggest being careful of taking every interpretation as if it's gospel truth.
And if someone's preference is that they get NO spoilers? Then they should avoid marketing stuff completely... but that's true for almost every game ever. Govern thyselves.

Speaking of, I was rewatching the Gamescom gameplay and trying to figure out what was going on with Solas's feet there. I came to the conclusion that he's wearing some kind of light shoes? I couldn't see evidence of him being barefoot. So I guess you can change that up depending on his armor!

My hopes may be too high, but even if the reality doesn't quiiiite measure up to all my wildest hopes and dreams, it's still shaping up to be The One, with everything I've been waiting for and never found rolled all into one game. Except now with EVEN MOAR MAGIC PANTS.
Also, I keep forgetting there are joined hands in that screenshot because, er, reasons. Very...eye-catching...reasons.
Edit: This is girly of me, but I'm really liking all the different armor, robes, hints of casual wear...I hope my Inquisitor gets a nice walk-in closet.

like meredith at the end of 2 but instead of zev or nate helping it's ME V1 AND ME V2. yeeesss.
jfc people thought what anders did was bad if you put my ladies together in a team the destruction would make it look like he merely wrote a strongly worded letter in comparison.
and SPEAKING of anders now that i've seen hawke i can't help but wonder where he is...
did you get kidnapped and separated? were you missing of your own volition and he's not far behind you?
gods, i almost fear the latter...

Kinda makes one wonder if Aaryn purposely chose the only part where Solas speaks to intervene
