Oh that's fine if it's that way, at least for me :) Like Cee mentioned before, I think it's more a matter of wondering why/how come Solas - who (apparently) is an immortal ancient elf AND a potential god-like figure - has things like scars or signs of ageing anyway. I mean... IS HE actually immortal? Is that not his original body? Is elven immortality something that happens after elves reach certain age? Maybe only certain kind of magic can leave scars?

Or are elves this long-lived only because they know how to enter uthenera/stasis and during their time out of it they age and/or are susceptible to injury just like everyone else is??

So many interesting questions! :)

As for my (serious) theories about the scar? While the theory about him being hit by the murderer of Mythal is interesting (maybe he was knocked out and imprisoned the moment he's found out someone he knows is planning to do, hence he couldn't do anything about it?) I think it may be a souvenir from the time he described himself as more of a soldier who apparently seen a lot of death and destruction, which may mean he actively fought on some sort of battlefield and gained a scar or two that way.

I like to think he hit himself in the face with his staff while trying to impress Falon'Din with his sick moves.

Nah, I bet he was going somewhere, but was so absorbed by his recent discoveries in the Fade that he walked into a lamp post.

Solas dies? We fight Solas and possibly have to kill him? We have to decide between Solas and X? The Inquisitor must give up their life for whatever, and in the case of a romanced Lavellan it's a tear-jerking response from Solas to watch this happen? The Inquisitor helps Solas avert a great disaster, and romanced Lavellan gets the opportunity to go off with Solas and be together? Solas doesn't appear at all, but we get a note left on our desk, or a Fade dream where he says goodbye properly?  I'm probably missing a few possible scenarios.

It's all good as long as the story is done well and makes sense. I'd prefer to not be drowned in the "sads" for the sake of it, but a really well done scene that pulls the proper emotions would be fine. Sometimes a good old bawl while involved with a movie or book or game is wonderful. Dammit Mordin.

I suppose we may not get anything at all, and some might prefer that. But it would leave me without closure as a player, Ohhand I'd always wonder and feel like the story was unfinished.

Hmm... I'm sure it's only me, but I'm starting to get a little apprehensive about a wolf hunt/Solas DLC. After all, we've had our hearts broken not once but twice: the first time at Crestwood, and then AGAIN when he leaves. To be honest, I've reached my limit for having my heart broken. Having had my share of it in real life, it's really not something I enjoy, and playing through the same feelings in a video game, well, just... no.

I'm sure any scenarios will be well-done, whether happy or sad, but I really, really hope we don't have to go through more heartbreak. (Please, Mr Weekes...?)

Hello again Solas fans  :D

Can't believe there still hasn't been any DLC news. I can only hope it means they're working on something meaty.

Anyho, I came back from holiday last week where I found that even on a ship, in the ocean, I still can't escape Solas..

Spoiler

HA5Pd.gif

Couldn't explain to anyone I was with why I was amused by it. Or why I was photographing it. I just said I had my reasons...

Solas Reasons.

Bonus Dragon Age points because I stopped off here on the way home.

There were no crazy mages though. Just rain. So much rain.

Spoiler

;)

Time to go back into hibernation until DLC happens. See you on the other side Solas fans!

Word of Gaider says that Hawke's blood smear was caused by them sneezing and bashing their nose off the mage champion armour shelf-thing.  So... you may be onto something there.

Your Tala is so cute. Lovely art. They look so cozy. :)

You should tag it with the positivity week tag too if you want, since people will look at the tag anyway even though it's over.

My Team Optimism Flags are indestructible for that very reason!  As long as you got one of mine, you're good.

They also smell slightly of puppy because I let my dogs sleep on them.

(what else am I going to use and indestructible flag for?)

it has been around for a few weeks but eventually went open to all (which led to the inevitable memes)  and it can be...creepy.

The images in that link seem so tame compared to what I've seen in the weeks since.

I feel like someone should tweet this to the devs. "Deep Dream is onto you!"

I guess Deep Dream couldn't decide if he was a dog or a chicken, so we got a marvellous combination.

This is actually the least creepy picture I got of him...

This Deep Dream is fascinating. Though the themes seem rather limited - I wonder what "research" they're doing on this.

I'm immune to the effect of Deep Dream. Ah, the stuff I studied and watched while I was in Art Academy....

Advice: don't watch The Cremaster Cycle. Just don't.

Yeah, as much fun as it is to speculate, this is probably the most likely scenario xD

I walked into a doorway yesterday. Well, my shoulder didn't like it, anyway.

I find them fascinating but also pretty creepy. I just submitted a Solas pic but I had no idea these things take up to a week to process. So, if anyone wants to submit our favorite hobo apostate, pick a good one since you'll be waiting for it.

Somehow I managed to avoid that honor, but I make it up by not looking where I step in and manage to sprain my ankles, oftentimes in a very spectacular fashion. I therefore bear 'scars of the daydreamer' not on my forehead, but on my knees :D
