Yeah, I did it for curiosity's sake as well. Knowing how intensely he cares for you, and then taking it like 'of course, you're right' and walking away like that just breaks my heart. It's as if he assumed it was all too good to be true, to be fleeting, and so he doesn't even allow himself to be upset. I'm never able to do that and then romance someone else. Speaking of breakup scene... anybody else thinks that Lavellan breaking with Solas is even SADDER? I tested it once for curiosity's sake and I've never replayed it again.

So he walks away all hunched and sad while she's all like "meh...". And THEN she can go and romance other companions! Dear gawd, that's just ruthless.
He is simultaneously heartbroken AND relieved, which makes it super sad.
Cullen's break up scene is also pretty tough to witness: he's like angry/sad so much that he doesn't even talk to you. Hah.
For some strange reason, I watched this once, and it is so sad. The only breakups I've watched were Solas and Cullen's.

Solas's Crestwood break up actually didn't bother me that much. Maybe it's because he'd already broken up with me many times at that point (I kept reloading to try different options), so I was just like "well you took that a lot better than my Lavellan... ahole."

I couldn't ever really break up with him, but I.... really like the "Mhhm." sound he makes when she breaks it off.

Yeah I know! Haha, all the Inquisitor break ups are pretty cold though. I'm sure that they're just tacked on so the player knows they have a choice to end it through multiple points of their romances. I mean story wise it doesn't make a lot of sense. What kind of heartless ahole waits until they've been in a committed relationship long enough for their romance to open their heart's to them before breaking up with them?

I was surprised when I played the Lavellen break up. He's searching her face while she's talking looking sorta shocked like "WHAT? I'm not surprised they picked them for landscape designs (though that suggests an interesting geological history of Thedas. Like, apparently a lot of continent happened due to massive volcanic eruptions).
Solas dies? We fight Solas and possibly have to kill him? We have to decide between Solas and X? The Inquisitor must give up their life for whatever, and in the case of a romanced Lavellan it's a tear-jerking response from Solas to watch this happen? The Inquisitor helps Solas avert a great disaster, and romanced Lavellan gets the opportunity to go off with Solas and be together? Solas doesn't appear at all, but we get a note left on our desk, or a Fade dream where he says goodbye properly? I'm probably missing a few possible scenarios.
It's all good as long as the story is done well and makes sense. I'd prefer to not be drowned in the "sads" for the sake of it, but a really well done scene that pulls the proper emotions would be fine. Sometimes a good old bawl while involved with a movie or book or game is wonderful. Dammit Mordin.
I suppose we may not get anything at all, and some might prefer that. But it would leave me without closure as a player, and I'd always wonder and feel like the story was unfinished.
I think we will find out pieces of his REAL story and it will be terribly tragic. To add another tragedy with L dying just seems so....well....too much? It's like torturing the character of Solas.
I'm hoping for him having a plan that's kinda awful and we get to oppose him or go along with it. Either way it ends up with something ground shaking happening but the execution is slightly different. Solas will go off into the next game being some sort of catalyst but his style in doing that is altered. Hopefully L has the choice to be with him and has a good influence. I think she has the tools to do it! Go Lavellan!

My husband lived in Turkey as a youngster, and some of his earliest vacation memories, were from Pamukkale.

Turkey has so many intriguing landscapes and historical sites - I don't live very far away from it, so I hope to see it someday maybe not just once
At the very least I'd like to see Istanbul/Constantinople... at least once, before the earth swallows it, kind of turning into our own Arlathan ;( The region the city lies is very seismically active and sadly they're predicting that eventually there will be a massive earthquake that might permanently damage the city. And there are so many people living there! I hope the infrastructure and necessary preparations will be there before the earthquake hits
