Also - wanna hear something funny? Lake Hilier isn't the only pink lake in the world Another lies in in Senegal and is called Lake Retba.

Why are love hate relationships so hawt? They aren't very realistic, yet I can't deny I love them in fiction X)
But my Lavellan doesn't have a butt.
I didn't like the Fallow Mire either. Stupid creepy gross water and creepy zombie corpses just need to stay dead and it's stupid and dark creepy too.
Random thought, which companion do you think is the most likely to not know how to swim? ...Do you think Cole can swim? Does he even need to breathe?

Near perfect symmetry. I assume that it's supposed to be intensely symbolic - Solas and Lavellan enter the scene as equals; not as mysterious Fadewalker/god/whatever and Inquisitor, but two elves perfectly comfortable around each other.

Which only proves that deep down Solas is a hopeless romantic xD

 

I caught the hint of that in Crestwood in a place we go to get to dam mechanisms and we meet a couple of teenagers. Solas is like "ah, wonderful" and he APPROVES when IQ makes a sarcastic quip about those two "being unable to resist the charm of decrepit pub" or something like it.

 

What? Not romantic enough for you???? Well, apparently not! Why else would he react that way?

 

 

 

 ....Makes me wonder where Solas would take Lavellan in case we get "sappy romance scene in which Solas whisks Lavellan away for some time together"?

 

Maybe to place like in Howl's Moving Castle?

Well, story-wise and according to Solas, the veil is thin there! Someone had a theory that he would reveal his true nature when he told her everything -- so a place with a strong connection to the Fade would suit his purpose well. ;P

My guess on the truth though? Devs liking to reuse locations for efficiency reasons (or prideful ones, haha). So it would've been 'for that particular shot', as you suggest. But I do like your breakdown on why this location fit so well. Also, I adore the way Solas leans in to you as this scene happens.

 

I think we will find out pieces of his REAL story and it will be terribly tragic. To add another tragedy with L dying just seems so....well....too much? It's like torturing the character of Solas.

 

I'm hoping for him having a plan that's kinda awful and we get to oppose him or go along with it. Either way it ends up with something ground shaking happening but the execution is slightly different. Solas will go off into the next game being some sort of catalyst but his style in doing that is altered. Hopefully L has the choice to be with him and has a good influence. I think she has the tools to do it! Go Lavellan! 

Yeah! Ok. So sometimes a character will never catch a break -- but surely Solas will get some solace? Yeah? Yeah you see what I did there? I'm sorry. I also think it'd be super fun if we could take sides. Really looking forward to whatever big DLC drop is upcoming and I hope that whatever happens, we will be left with more answers than questions.

For me that line came off as very similar to romanced Anders reply if your Hawke tells him to leave at the end. He says "10 years, a 100 years from now, someone like me will love someone like you and there will be no templars to tear them apart." Yes, Anders, it's all the templars fault that you can't be with Hawke. Now suffer in the Void you bastard  I'm not still angry, completely over it in fact. My take away is that Solas doesn't have any hope for their relationship and is just saying "if only, if only", you know, because it doesn't hurt enough already XD

I'm still hoping that Solas is not wrong about whatever it is going on. He might make a great antagonist or anti-hero, but I'm a bit over the whole companion-turned-betrayer story where you either must kill them or talk them down and Show Them The Error of Their Ways like a good little protagonist. Everyone's so darn convinced he's going to do horrible and terrible things and he has no brains for making choices through his life, it'd be nice to see the opposite.

 

But I do agree with thinking that his story is tragic. I'm most looking forward to learning what it is. Hopefully they'll let us.

Turkey has so many intriguing landscapes and historical sites - I don't live very far away from it, so I hope to see it someday maybe not even once

 

At the very least I'd like to see Istanbul/Constantinople... at least once, before the earth swallows it, kind of turning into our own Arlathan ;( The region the city lies is very seismically active and sadly they're predicting that eventually there will be a massive earthquake that might permanently damage the city. And there are so many people living there! I hope the infrastructure and necessary preparations will be there before the earthquake hits

Elgar'nan had better keep his silly earthquakes away from my Constantinopolis if he knows what's good for him. 

 

Um...where was I? 

For the basalt formations and volcanic history, Barindur (one of the original Neromenian kingdoms, alongside Minrathous/Tevinter) was wiped out by a volcano according to Solas. Frozen in ash, Pompeii style. His comments made me think he may have been around when that happened. Or even known a god with a penchant for earthquakes and divine wrath. *glowers at Elgar'nan in his corner of shame again* Or, possibly, just visited the ghost-town of a city that rose up shortly after/during his final years awake during Arlathan's glory days.

There was also a mention of Ten Holy Mountains or something of the sort somewhere, and some of us were theorizing that every mountain was devoted to one of the gods, with the Temple of Sacred Ashes being Mythal's (thanks to her bloody mural being in the final battle sequence there) and Skyhold having been either Falon'din's or Solas. (Owls, location and familiarity.) 

 

By the way, do we ever get an explanation about the giant dwarf statues in the Storm Coast? I mean...that's weird. That's really weird.

Did u guys know that Solas focuses on the Inquisitor as well to close the breach?Cuz i did not know till i went with Cinema tools since now we can pause during cut-scenes I would like to know if anyone here has something interesting to say more about it,i mean is there something to look more into it him being connected to the anchor or he just does it and there's nothing more into it?I had the mages as allies i wonder if he does the same for templars and if that changes if u conscripting them or not as well.I mean why does he do it when we have an army of mages to do that already?  or templars if he does it as well no matter what side u pick:)

Interesting indeed I've always thought that he lies down on the ground dead like from the explosion,but oddly enough he seems more affected by it then the rest of the mages.The others just get knocked back while Solas he's fully laid on his back  awww i have to go back redo the quest and make some screenshots to be more accurate about this :)Sry for my english
