Sadly..I can not play Dragon's Dogma. Even though I have a big TV..it is old..and therefor the fonts are super tiny, Even tinier then they are for DAI. I can't read a single thing.
Ooooh..I just thought of something..when I get my new computer I will finally be able to read the codex in DAI!!! Yay!!
DD is only for consoles isn't it?
Yes, it's a PS3 exclusive.... which is sad for me, since I'd love to play it on my PC
Actually, Dragon's Dogma is also available for Xbox 360 so NightSymphony, you're in luck. (It's pretty fun.)
EDIT: If you're getting DD, you could get Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen, which is an expansion and re-release of Dragon's Dogma with new content. Though I hear that the title screen music is no longer that awesome Engrish J-Rock music that we get in the original, which is sad because I kind of liked it. xD
I was watching my fiance make another F! elf last night. He made one that was a rogue but decided to delete it.
The conversation went like this:
Me: You're making another elf?
Him: Yep! I want to be a mage.
Me: Ah. She looks pretty.
Him: Yeah you know, I'm trying to make her look attractive but then I think to myself "She's not pretty enough for Solas". Cause he's a really good-lookin elf. Like seriously.
Me: Yeah. Well.... really, it doesn't matter what she looks like. Solas doesn't care about that. He likes them all no matter how they look.
Him: True!
DarthEmpress, NightSymphony, Vorathrad et 10 autres aiment ceci

TES has fantastic world and lore, which is why me and my RPG guildies have fun with it in ESO Advice to anyone planning to RP in ESO anytime soon though... avoid vampire guilds. Unless you're really into kinky stuff, I suppose.
DD's beginning can be daunting, but after you figure out combat and vocations, it's fantastic in that regard. I spent innumerable hours just fighting and killing stuff, especially in their "Dark Souls"-inspired DLC.
Story wise though? It has a really great potential, but the story isn't executed well and the quest structure is pretty abysmal - if you don't complete some side-quests in specific order, you'll get permanently locked out of large areas of map (which isn't huge to begin with) and some quests with essential story information.
Their romances and importance to the plot are the icing on the hilarity cake though. Not only the affinity system is confusing as hell (even in NG+ and with wikia guide in the hand we can still get the wrong LI), at first it seems like they're optional, only to turn out that they're pretty pivotal to the main plot.... it doesn't help that majority (all) of LIs are generic and shallow as a puddle and I don't buy at all that they're in love with my Arisen, considering the paltry amount of interactions we get.
Ummm, midnight tea... I don't speak game abbreviations very well, I understood RPG, that was all.
I'm very picky about my video games. The Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age are the only games I've ever put an obsessive amount of hours in. Other than that I've played the Arkham games, Fallout 3, an Assasin's Creed (that I never finished), Bioshock Infinite, Dragon's Dogma (that I barely played), a few offline multiplayer games with my siblings, and then some oldie Nintendo games from my childhood (but mostly I watched my brother and sisters play). Seriously, that's it XD. Here's a riddle for you... if someone puts hundreds of hours into four or five games, but barely plays any other games at all does she still receive the title of "Gamer"?

But I LOVE Aubrey Ashburn!!
Haha, didn't like the game but I love this song!
The English version is nice too, but it doesn't beat Elven!
Makes me think of him saying that Lavellan is a rare and marvelous spirit. Ugh, it kills me everytime because from Solas that line speaks volumes of how he thinks of her.

It's Grim Fandango and Dragon Age for me, but I'm very serious about those two. And thank the Creators for casual mode, since I suck at battles. I'm mostly in it for the story, I guess.

Haha, I feel you eventually I end up playing my favorite games enough that I can challenge myself to try harder levels, but I always start on easy!

So many people have supportive significant others on this thread (gaming wise) and your fiance is enjoying the Solas romance himself XD Where do you find these guys? Haha, none of my real life friends (ugh real life) know about my obsession with this game and it's characters (especially a certain romancable character), they'd laugh at me!

Ah, ok
TES = The Elder Scrolls
ESO = Elder Scrolls Online
RP = roleplay
As for people who spend hundreds of hours in a few games.... I'm the same, and I'm not sure why we shouldn't be called gamers
When I play games and find them to my liking, I tend to squeeze everything out of them untill all of the juices are out... which is why I don't play too many games in the first place. I'd have no life whatsoever
As for games I've played... I shall be forever loyal to Prince Of Persia franchise (my first "serious" gaming franchise and my first "serious" game was POP: Sands Of Time), then there's Elder Scrolls (since Oblivion and with ESO being my first MMO), a few Need For Speeds and similar games, Dragonage, Witcher, Kingdoms OF Amalur, Dragon's Dogma, Portal... not sure what else is there worth mentioning.... Aside from mobile "tower defense" games, I suppose, which shall forever be my guilty pleasures
The song is nice and all and fits more with the theme of the game, but I like the J-rock one because it made me laugh. xD
I like the game not so much for the story, but because I enjoy getting new Pawns and the battle system is pretty fun. Fighting giant monsters in this game is AWESOME! (Climbing then clinging on to a griffon while it's lifting off from the ground is amazing.)
EDIT: Top again?
Here, have a shot of Solas' profile (by captaincaranis).
*hugs Sunny* Part of me hopes it's not about Solas..since we can't play it ..stupid DLC... but another part of me wants it to be because we've been waiting for sooooo long!! I can always watch it on youtube. *sniffles*

Climbing is all fun, by Mystic Archer will probably forever stay my favorite class. I mean magical rogue with arcane bow or flashy, fiery dual-blade attack? Yyyyes!
Also - sorc's MAELSTORM! Dear gawd, was I pleased when I could strategically drop it in more annoying parts of Bitterblack Island...
