Maybe solas already knows what the inquisitor can do with the glowy hand and the inquisitor is like "I don't wanna!" and Solas has to be all "Dammit Inquisitor" *grabs hand*  From what I've read Solas is a rift mage.

 

Plus I don't see any betrayal in the part where Solas grabs the inquisitors hand.....I don't understand one bit of where you are getting that and the explosion is when the Inquisitor shuts the veil closed we have seen it in the other demos. Like I said it just looks like Solas is trying to show the inquisitor what he can do with the hand also the iinquisitor might be hesitating and that is why Solas grabs his hand like he does. *shrug*

 

Not going to argue with you that all of this is entirely possible and far more likely than the betrayal.  I was just considering possibilities, I didn't mean to offend you.

 

Hmm but the way it's set up, the hand grabbing scene doesn't necessarily lead to the explosion

The surroundings look a bit different, but who knows?

It's hard to tell with a trailer...

I wouldn't mind some betrayal though, my body is ready for hot villain Solas

Also, I am clearly losing what little bit of my mind I had left. Driving home for lunch, Sisqo's "Thong Song" came on the radio (talk about throwback) and I almost wrecked laughing so hard because the bit about "she had dumps like a truck, truck truck... thighs like what, what, what... baby, move your butt, butt, butt" totally made me think of Solas's thigh and booty shots.

 

I have a problem and it's only gonna be solved by this dang game coming out.

 

Also, I totally feel bad for poor Solas. I mean, Patrick said he was an introvert and here we all are ogling him like he's standing on a Chippendale's stage. Not sure if he'd be horrified with an underlying feel of manly pride or just plain horrified. 

 

From a meta game perspective there are tons of us ogling his goodies, but I'll make myself feel better with the rationalization that only one Inquisitor at a time will perv on him.  And perv on him hard

Agreed!  Who knows, maybe it even hurts to use Fade powers that way or the Inquisitor could be scared and needs someone to give her strength to do what needs to be done.  Lots of explanations

 

Edit: I know I'd be scared to death if I acquired a magical hand by chance and suddenly people told me I had to save the world.  I'd need someone to hold my hand for sure.

I'm joining this thread. After seeing Solas showing the Inquisitor how to close the tear I so want to be able to romance him.

It would be so awesome. It would be so great. It would be absolutely glorious.

I do love the idea of a teacher/student relationship between them. They can stay up all night in deep conversations. Solas can be like, "I can show you things...things you could only dream of."

Exactly! I just think Solas is trying to help the inquisitor to understand how to close the veils with his/her glowy hand. The inquisitor is probably nervous and scared...heck i'd be the same way if my left hand was like that lol 

 

Also I got to say he has got to be a Love interest they keep giving us these screenshots of those tight pants and crotch and butt shots...that would be so cruel if they are doing that and he isn't an LI.....but then again this is Bioware...cruelty is there thing sometimes. 

 

EDIT: Plus I tried to stay away from this place as long as I could....3 weeks is all I could do smh!

I'm happy for em too. Cole's voice sounds amazing....he is so cute like a little lost puppy I want to hug him. My Female quizzy will definitely go into mother mode when I meet Cole. Blackwall has a very nice voice...and he kicks butt too,they all do.  

 

I guess Solas can heal himself cause in the demo after that fight with that mini boss he automaticaly healed but Cole had to drink a heal potion...so maybe Solas can heal others, I hope so.

I don't want to argue either and apologies on my part as well if I seemed really mean I wasn't trying to go towards that I just think this betrayal speculation in the video has me scratching my head like "What?"

I don't think so? If you look closely in the new trailer, the scene cuts to a different location. Solas and the Inquisitor do the thing with the hand (squee!!! *ahem* sorry) and in the next frame there's an explosion - but it pans out and we see a bridge and Iron Bull is thrown back. So I think the explosion happens somewhere else.

 

I agree with the people who think it's a teaching moment. I could see the Inquisitor being like "You want me to what? Are you crazy? I can't just..." and Solas being like "Oh, for the love of..." *grabs hand.*

Yeah, gotta agree. If a giant explosion sucked me into the Fade, I had a trippy experience with scary otherworld things, and then got spat back out with my left hand suddenly glowing green... I don't think my first instinct is gonna be trying to hold that "injured" hand up to that giant scary green Rift thing. I can easily see why Solas would have to shove me in there.

Yes although I signed up for it weeks ago I think it is for everyone now but it's only on Pc and you have to have an Origins account.

Since we were just talking about what happens when closing Fade rifts: 

(This is from an article written by someone who played the Gamescom demo we saw in the press conference).

The process of closing these rifts is fairly straightforward: You see a green glimmer hovering in the air, and you press a button confirming that you want to attempt to close it. At that point, bolts shoot out from the rift and spawn demons, which you and your allies need to defeat. This weakens the rift, and after a few waves, you are able to permanently seal the tear in the Fade. The act also earns you power, which is what you spend in order to unlock more areas and operations.

I hopped on that bandwagon yesterday, too. Here's my own try (looking at the new screenshots, his nose isn't near scrunchy enough, though, so I'll have to go back and edit it):

I gave him a Knowledge Aspiration-->Renaissance Sim, with the Traits Genius, Loner, and Loves Outdoors.

He looks way too young, but I'm not sure if we have the capabilities to give him wrinkles, or whatever. And no elf ears.
 
(He's still ridiculously good looking. Man this Sims makes it easy to make teh pretty.)

Like the Inquisitor teases and flirts with him while he nonchalantly waves it off. This goes on for a long while.

 

Then it hits a certain threshold and - BAM - out comes Mr. Assertive Scotch Bonnet Candies.

 

That's what you get for playing with fire, Quizzy.
