Ahh, a Cousland, forever the envy off all other Wardens who romanced Alistair...

 

Maybe we could spark a huuuge slave rebellion!! YAYAYAY!

 

I don't envy Cousland (okay, maybe a little) but my Mahariel never made Alistair king so they ended up being Wardens together.

 

That's okay, Surana didn't want him to be king anyway.  She made Anora queen so the two of them could be happy together as Ward-

I refuse to believe that a Warden Alistair who went off to Weisshaupt is dead until I see it with my own eyes. I still have hope!

Yeah, I've got it with Cole. Anybody bad mouthing ma boy get's me riled up and ready for a fight (well, actually more like long, ranting posts that take up several pages). 

 

 

The Cole character thread was absolutely precious before the game launched with how some people believed Cole to be an evil irredeemable demon. I giggled a bit when he ended up being a spirit of compassion of all things. 'Course, they refused to believe that he wasn't evil even after the game was out, so... straight-faced trolling for the lulz I guess.

Hey I'm curious about something, for those who removed their vallaslin and then played the DLC after, does Ameridan still recognize you as Dalish when he first meets you? If anyone here has tried it could you let me know?

I wouldn't mind if they've done something like it - set thee events between DA3 and DA4 long enough for new generation to grow Maybe even farther?

It'd probably be too much work for BioWare though all those different choices. No Kieran, Old God soul Kieran, normal Kieran, all of Kieran's different fathers. No dwarf kid for most players. Dead Connor, possessed Connor, normal Connor, dead mom Connor.... We should definitely get a Dog again though!

Hey I'm curious about something, for those who removed their vallaslin and then played the DLC after, does Ameridan still recognize you as Dalish when he first meets you? If anyone here has tried it could you let me know?

I played JOH after I had the vallaslin removed and if I remember correctly, I think he does recognize you as a Dalish even without them, which is a bit odd.

 

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

He does (though as midnight tea pointed out, I don't believe he actually uses the term Dalish). I assume he does so since back in his day, city elves and Dalish clans as we know them didn't really exist yet? This was before the Dales got stomped by Orlais, so the elves were all still chilling in Halamshiral. He does say something like "Good to see the alliance between Orlais and our people is still strong!!" Yeah, about that.

That might be a good idea. Seems a shame his representation has slipped. I wonder if it's due to him not being a love interest? Looks like Vivienne's went the same way too so that might be a major reason why.

I'm still confused on if Ameridan should have had vallaslin. Didn't the Dalish start tattooing their faces after the fall of the Dales? Which is why Dalish have them and the city elves do not? If so, he shouldn't have been tattooed at all and would have wondered WTF you are doing with the markings on your face. Right?

 

But to answer the question, yes, he does recognize you as Dalish after the tattoos are gone. I did my run before end-game, but after the breakup. Them Ameridan/Telana feels, yo.

Well it has been 8 months... we're still going strong because we're obsessive and there is a lot to talk about with Solas

I think the Solas thread would still be active even if he wasn't a romance, but then he's a bit of a special case...

 

I'm not sure what happened to the Cole thread. I stopped visiting other character threads when all I saw was Cole-evil-demon this and totally-fisting-Cassandra that, but even so I guess eight months out of release most character threads will start to wind down anyway. DLC will probably bring them back up depending on what we get.

No, you're right. (I just completed JoH like three days ago, this is pretty fresh in my mind!) Just like I said, I don't think there was even really a distinction back in his day.

I'm unsure. If it'll just turn into a trolling-cole-demon-monster-hate-him thread, then I';d rather not raise my blood-pressure by starting it. Hmmm what to do, what to do. I'll see if I can find some cute Cole gif's, pics and stories etc so that we have something to start with.

This may very well be the case...like if you take him with when you talk to that elf kid with the sick mother in the Hinterlands and tell him to go back to his family, Solas says something like "You've got the elf ears, but not the soul."
