Oh, thanks! Yeah, I signed up for it about a month ago but never got it.

 

Makes me think that I should make my first family a Solas one just to see how he would interact with others.

Ha, thank you! I'm sure your Solas will turn out great, too! It's a little surprising how different and yet similar we can things like this. I think it's because we each place a certain importance on a feature of that character, and then build around it.

I really love what Solas is wearing too - the big rusty pauldron and that rather scary looking spiked gauntlet thing... He just looks so badass in his weird pieced-together half-armor. I actually saw this on my lunch break today and read some of the comments (you know the ones...) and could not stop grinning like an idiot while at work   And the fact that it looks like snowy mountains in the background, and Cass being there makes me think it's at the beginning of the game. I hope that's the case! Now, if only we could get official confirmation that he's an LI, and today would be perfect! (I keep going back to the twitter and Gamescom threads... because one of the devs tweeted something about interviews. Though I'm guessing they won't get posted until tomorrow at the soonest).

I think (and hope - Solas for everyone!) that he will be bi. It'll help make the options nice and even too, assuming Vivi's an LI as well.

 

Edit: The fact that he's open minded, and doesn't want people see him as just an elf - just kind of gives me those vibes about him. Like he cares more about the person - which is why I'm inclined to believe he won't be race gated either.

I find myself weirdly mesmerized by his ears... funny since I'm not particularly into elves (nothing against them - they just don't appeal to me more or less than humans do). But his pretty elfy ears make we want to touch

I hope he's bisexual, but we really have nothing to help speculate about his sexuality. I think he could be bisexual, but I don't have any firm reasoning behind it besides hoping for a fair spread for everyone. 

 

If he isn't an LI, I hope he's asexual, or at least passes as ace within the game.

I'm glad I'm not the only one strangely entranced by those ears. The baldness just makes them so prominent. I can just picture my Inquisitor wanting to reach out and poke one all the time.

His ears in those gifs are... enticing.  I'm not a huge fan of elves or anything either (honestly TME was the first time I liked them), they just look like something I would want to touch all the time.  Sort of like Dorian's mustache.  My Inquisitor will have to invent reasons to touch them so she doesn't just seem like a weirdo.  "Here, let me help you put on sunblock. We wouldn't want those ears to get burned."  "There's something on your ear, let me get that for you." *creep creep*

I think part of the reason why we're all so enamored by this scene is someone is touching our character.

 

No, really, think about it: how often were the Warden or Hawke touched in the DAO or DA2? Rarely. Basically just during the romance scenes. And, now, here we have a character grabbing our wrist and we see that, and our character reacts to it, moves with it. I'm so excited for DAI, guys.

I've never had a thing for elves before either, or dwarves, but to me Solas is like the Varric of the elven world...

I wonder if Solas plays chess, or whatever analog Thedas has. I suppose it would depend on when Solas started living alone--if he had time to learn that kind of thing.

 

I just wanna play chess with Solas, guys. Or have him teach my Inquisitor how to play chess.

I have romanced the elves so far in all of the DA games, I have a huge thing for them.

The BW track record is that all the elves are bi. Seras the first for being only lesbian. I am hoping for bi, for the same reason you said.
