I dunno, the idea of Oghren firing a bow while drunk seems like it'd be even more dangerous than letting him fight sozzled with a two-hander.

Well, that just makes me even more keen to respecc him as an archer!

EDIT: Whoops, I meant 'warriors' in my above post.  Corrected now.

Six!  Six Talae in the constellation so far!

  • 4 Rogues
  • 2 Mages

EDIT:  Seven!  Seven Talae in the constellation, ah, ah, ah!

Omg is this real? In my optimistic headcanon, Tala is the name of Coria's&Solas' daughter o.o It's a name I've had for years on my "names list" (for fanfictions and original characters). And I thought it was finally the right character for that name o.o

Tala the warrior update:

She just met Solas.

*sigh* You know I had the thought cross my mind, hey, let's try a Cullen romance this time around for giggles. Then he did that chuckle about the Chantry question.

I just can't believe this is going to be like my 4th play through and I can't make it past "Was that a serious question?" Like, no willpower past that comment.

One does not simply skip dialogue options with Solas.

Tala Mahariel is going to be an archer rogue. Haven't picked her romance yet.  Trying to get used to using the DAO CC again.

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!

Turns out, I'm responsible for 2 of the 8 Tala Lavellans: one who drank from the Well, and one who did not. This is how I head-canon one Tala's reasons for not drinking:

In the moment of decision, she looks to him. She sees the near-imperceptible shake of his head, the quiet pleading in his eyes. He might have grabbed her bodily by both arms and urged in a voice rough-edged with fear, “Do not do this, Vhenan!” It would have had the same effect, such is the subtle, silent language between them. She listens one last time to the ancient, beckoning wisdom, pushing away the regret that will come later. He stands like a shadow behind Morrigan awaiting her answer. Her eyes never leaving his face, she says, “It’s yours.”

In case you didn't have enough feels this morning.

And I'm just posting the link to the Tumblr post cause I'm lazy.

As a huge Cullen fan, especially in the run up to Inquisition, I feel extremely guilty that I've still yet to complete his romance.

In my defence, I was halfway through it when JOH came out and I wanted to play it first with my Lavellan, then I got sidetracked by how fun my Adaar romancing Josephine playthrough was, as well as my female Cadash archer... now I think I'm at the point where if I want to romance Cullen, I need to pick Trevelyan, because if I try to play as Lavellan I'm going to romance Solas again.

Dangit, do I pick the guy who's had a three game dry-spell or the elf who'd had one lasting a thousand years?

(I'd have posted this in the Cullen thread, but I fear that they'd read the first line and egg me... which would ironically, make me think of Solas)

Pretty much all of my Lavellans, as well as my GiantNerdCircleMage, did.  ;)

"Well, if Mythal is still around, and I'm bound in service, I'll be the first Dalish elf to actually get a temp job with the divine in forever."

Or, "Wheeee! Knowledge!

My hardliner Andrastian Templar Inquisitor just quietly backed away from the scary magic.

Good to know I'm not the only Solas fan with a hardliner Andrastian Templar Inquisitor playthrough. And mine didn't drink either :)

My Lavellan drank. There was no way she was forfeiting that knowledge to some outsider shem. :P

I am insanely curious to see what happens.

Also, I cannot WAIT to see what happens if/when she discovers who Solas really is. It will be delicious. :)

C'mon DLC!

TBH, I have no idea what they're going to do in DLCs and I probably should not predict anything anymore... but with the way things are shaping, incessant mentions of Varric and now certain things in patch beta hinting towards direction things may go, it's hard to say whether we'll be getting any Well- or ancient elf- or Dread Wolf-related things in upcoming DLC... Wouldn't be surprised if we'd have to wait a bit more for that.

Wow! 7! I never knew there were so many of them. xD And nice to see that you have a blog post to keep track on the numbers.

Also, I've been working on a Professor Solas pic (because I needed to get it out of my system) and I just wanted to share the WIP with you guys. :)

Spoiler

Quiz: Oh Professor Solas, I would do anything to be in you advance history class next term?

Solas: And what would that be.

Quiz: (Takes a step forward to make skirt bounce.

Solas: Miss. Lavellan, only in your dreams your dreams would I defile my position like that. Now get out, I am very disappointed in you Miss Lavellen.

The next Class.

Solas: You look well Miss. Lavellen. Did something happen this week?

Quiz: Just a good dream.

Solas: (Places folder on Miss. Lavellen's desk.)

Quiz: (looks happy and puzzled to find request form and student teacher application.)

Just peeked...interesting.

Well, we were told that only some of the loose ends and things we're curious about will be addressed in DLC and there have been a lot of hints about Qunari and/or Deep Roads, and things like The Executors, so I would expect that the next DLC, whatever it is, will only have some threads. JoH felt relevant to Lavellans, especially if yours loved Solas, but it also contained codexes and lore bits and history , as well as other elements that may be further relevant later.

So, even if we're not getting any leads on Solas just yet, I still think next DLC will have some things that add to the other stuff we're all thinking about.

As far as the Well, that would make most sense to wrap up before we have a possible new player character, so that will likely play a part in the final DLC for DAI rather than earlier.

This makes me sad that I wont be getting those smooth flirts with my Tala.  I'll be getting awkward converstations about roses or shoes.

Chapter 6 of "Pulchra Tenebris" is now up and posted, guys! Yes, I know it’s only been like a day or two since Chapter 5, but what can I say? I’m obsessive.

If you enjoy the read, please help me spread the word to more readers by re-blogging, leaving kudos, etc. Thank you very much for your support!

Summary:  [Post Game][Solas/Lavellan] Where was the Maker when the Chantry turned on innocents? Where was He when the burnings began? Was He the one who sent the Seekers into our villages? Into our cities? Into our homes and into our lives? The Chantry claimed many things. Prophetic visions. Divine will. Reincarnation. Certainly, the blame for what happened can be laid at their feet. In the end, however, it was we who made the decisions. We were responsible because we did nothing to stop them. Nobody was happy, even those who still believed in the Maker and his will. Most of us bowed our heads, hiding and hoping that the storm would blow over. When our neighbors were taken - when the people we loved and cared about were stolen from us - we sat in silence and allowed tragedy to unfold.
