This makes me sad that I wont be getting those smooth flirts with my Tala. I'll be getting awkward converstations about roses or shoes.
But they're sweet awkward conversations about roses or shoes.
I should work backwards and finally do a full Origins replay. Mage this time, as I usually do. *combs through mods*

Oh, but who couldn't love the rose talk with Alistair. It's so adorable sweet.
I think they should do an elf version of Alistair in the next DA game as a romance. If that makes sense.

The romance in Origins is sweet right up until you remember how Inquisition showed how three conversations could potentially turn Leliana from being all sweetness and light to a dangerously unstable individual... which makes me fear for any Warden who happened to cheat on her or dump her, especially for people like Morrigan or Anora.
Psycho!Leliana needed to be better implimented I think.

I wouldn't call a bard "unstable" though. You plss off a bard, you get the dagger. Its simple.

I never hardened her so the Leliana of Inquisition fit with the 'lost her way' the whole thing ultimately played out....and back again. She's one of my favorite series characters.

Haha, I'm just imagining the possibilities of great scenarios. I mean, imagine we can play as a city elf or something in the next game and there is a Dalish Alistair. Instead of a rose he brings you the pelt of a rabbit or something.
No, better, he just brings you a dead rabbit and then stutters about not having enough time to skin it amidst all the fighting and such.
It would be like how cute a cat is when it brings you a dead mouse and they're all like "Look what I broughtz for youz!"

Executive Producer Mark Darrah stated on Twitter on July 11, 2015 that "The post credit stuff was a stinger like a Marvel movie." I just wonder if that means we'll have to wait until the next game to get resolution, like moviegoers waiting for the next movie. Looks like Imma gonna have to write more fan fiction to get me through this...
Oh, I hope not. I nee- uh, I mean my Lavellan needs closure!

Yeah, but unless you hardened her, she was supposed to have turned a new leaf and embraced her reformation. Plus it seems weird that Justinia would set in motion this change in Leliana from bard to sister, only to then undo all that work by asking Leliana to once again become her knife in the darkness.
Like with Marjolaine, I think that Leliana chose to be selectively oblivious to the darker and more manipulative aspects to her relationship with Justinia.
While we do hear that Justinia apparently lampshaded the fear that she had been using her, something that Leliana denied, it has me questioning whether this was genuine on her part or not? After all, the best cult leaders are those who can convince you that you are acting of your own free will, while doing their every bidding, as well as defend them even when they are the ones causing the mistreatment that the person is suffering.

On topic:
I have never had a character yet, drink from the Well. Even though I may not like getting disapproval from Solas and other characters, it doesn't stop me from doing things they disapprove. However, nearly all my PC's chose not to drink, because it was in-character for them. (you do note how I said "nearly".) My very first PC (Freya Lavellan/Mage) should have drank from the well. It WAS appropriate for her character. But, the ding-dong that I was had spoiled myself about some approvals, and I was nervous about Solas' getting to low.
Solution! I still have a save at the beginning of the Arbor Wilds, for Freya. So I have been thinking about replaying the later part of her play through. She never got a chance to go through JoH either (I had just started it with her, when I switched back to my Cadash and M!Lavellan play throughs).
Mmmmm....think I might do that.

Tala Warrior update:
Tala: You find the muscles enjoyable?
Solas: I meant that you enjoyed having them, presumably.
Tala: Ahh
Solas: But yes...since you asked.
omg this is the warrior version of that flirt?! Amazing. That moment when every Lavellan realizes this guy is actually a cheeky bastard...

Well, that's the thing - Leliana embraced her reformation... until Justinia perished at the Conclave. It has been cited, I think more than once even by writers of DA, as a turning point (for the worse) for her.
Whether Justinia used her or not, or was genuine in her sorrow for using her, the in-story fact still remains that at least according to Leliana, her motherly-sisterly-(mentor-ly?) bond with Justinia was something uber-special for her.

I know right. I mean seriously. And if you really look at the three different flirts they suit each class really well.
Mage- He says something that let's her little magey mind get curious and run a little wild.
Rogue- Sneaky class, so he says something super direct.
Warrior- Straight forward class, he's sneaky by letting you down first with the whole "I thought you enjoy them" and then once Lavellan drops guard because of it comes in with the whole "Yeah, I like checking you out"
SMOOOOOOOOOTH
I'm just sayin'!

There's already an elf version of Alistair. He's called Alistair and he was in Dragon Age Origins.

There's a Dalish mage mod if you want something different from the usual magi origin. It needs another mod to make it work correctly and non of the expansion dialogue has been corrected, so you get the Velanna Dalish stuff and the Anders circle stuff.

Am I the only one who drank
the Kool-Aidfrom the Well?
![]()
Definitely not!
After all was said and done my Lavellan actually thought destroying it maybe wasn't such a terrible idea, considering the trouble it had caused, buuut the game didn't give me this option: Morrigan was very insistent that it be used. By her. And it was very suspicious, so even though Lavellan could sense the geas thing, she took it to keep it out of the hands of the human who was just a little too eager to potentially abandon her son (?!) in order to gain ancient knowledge. I liked how it turned out, though I can't help but hope she ends up with a reason to regret doing it ![]()

I'll have to look for it when I'm putting together my list. It will be a while, considering my DA2 replay and if this DLC drought ever ends for DAI.

Maybe, but just to put it in context, it appeared to be in response to people who were upset about them dropping last gen support. People on Twitter were saying they were upset that they are going to release essential story DLC on next gen only, and that they will not be able to finish their game now. He was saying DAI was meant to be stand alone, and that the conclusion to the main story (Corypheus) is meant to be wrapped up.Executive Producer Mark Darrah stated on Twitter on July 11, 2015 that "The post credit stuff was a stinger like a Marvel movie." I just wonder if that means we'll have to wait until the next game to get resolution, like moviegoers waiting for the next movie. I guess we can make of that what we will. I think it lends credence to speculation the new DLC will be taking place post game, but could also be a side story, or introducing/foreshadowing new plots to set up the next game, like Legacy did.

Yeah, so if anyone is interested in crying today I just posted this for Inquisitor week Day 2: Favorite Romance/Religion. I cried writing the last bit, so consider yourselves warned:

Also, if anyone is wondering, I changed the name on my cannon Inquisitor as I am re-rolling her playthrough with some mods, that and after rolling my alternate Lavallen I finally got a nose I liked.

FLABBADENCE!
If Solas comes back today too, we'll have proof that blood sacrifices do work!
Anyways, what struck me about the poem in the first place was the mention of the wolf having the Fade in its eyes.
The ending part, with Haron and Ameridan apparently making it a long-running argument, makes it sound like this was earlier in their career.
Sounds like they weren't aware that they were dealing with a creature as much 'spirit as beast'.
I feel like Bioware was just trolling with this poem >:|
I had the same "WTF Solas???" but after reading it a few times I think it was just a possessed wolf. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sometimes these hurt my brain a bit. Solas doesn't look like every other bald man with similarly colored eyes. Or Nicolas Cage. Maybe it's just me.
