... I really wouldn't be surprised if there were people who are actually having vallaslin tattooed on their face right now.

 I like putting henna on my hands.....so I may or may not have considered putting henna vallaslin on my face.

 

The only problem is that the henna would not stain as dark as it does on the hands or feet......but it could still look cool. But the great thing is that about every 2-3 weeks I could put a different one on my face.

Well, the only question now remains is how to do colors that would technically be invisible or near-invisible on the skin... in the end I think anyone who considers trying a vallaslin, should likely stick to either henna (for dark one) or bodypaint paint (http://www.sillyfarm.com/shop/)

I've considered wearing body paint vallaslin as a Halloween costume (if I don't change my mind till then).

Come to think of it, Dalish elf it's one of the easiest Halloween costumes to pull off. Draw a vallaslin on your face, cover your ears with hair, dress like a hobo, and voila - you're Dalish!

The only other alternative I can think of is using tape on the skin or a template and sitting out in the sun for a little while. As for natural coloring besides henna; a stain from dark berries (blueberries, raspberries, etc.) or red beets could be used.

Just wanted to reply to this.

Yes, those little flea-like things running around at the bottom near the frozen lake is indeed the Inquisition troops. I found it interesting and amusing when I first saw it while I was running around the battlements (even in the PS3, those little guys are visible). Also, turns out this pops up in a certain area.

All this time, I've always wondered where the troops have been hanging out.

I'm more mad at myself for not noticing it sooner. I love the bridge but not the battlements. If I'm not stalking Solas then I'm pestering Cole so I don't use the upper walkways much so I've never gotten the entry above.

My Lavellan is really just lazy. She's been writing to the dwarves to see if they'll invent an elevator.

One of the very best things about Jaws of Hakkon was the "Use lift" command. Please, more elevators everywhere.

 

At least Skyhold has lots of fast travel points.

Interesting, especially since his fiancee will be getting Falon'Din's. I think their reasons make sense, and they can always explain it later but if Falon'Din really was as much of a bloodthirsty egotist and maybe even turns out to be our new villain, that might put a slight damper on it in the future.

You know, I kind of wonder if Falon'Din and Dirthamen  were getting along or not towards the right before the fall. I mean, we don't know at what point Falon'Din crazy "IMMA KILL EVERYBODY BOW TO ME" episode happened.....but Solas does say that it didn't stop until he was bloodied by his own brethren. I know Brethren could be some sort of general term for followers or whoever was in close company....but if it means actual brother(s).... maybe Dirthamen.

His nipples look a bit too far down on his torso. Like he has a saggy chest. Ugh, I just don't...I think those armours make him look a bit freaky. His body doesn't look like it's normal shape. his shoulders, chest and stomach just look a little weird. The "ab" definition is, in my opinion, awful. Plus the fact that nugs would be more likely to raise an Empire to conquer Thedas before we would be able to convince Solas to wear that.

Why would I do that to my face when I can use henna or paint and try out all of the pretty patterns? 

I just need to find some lime to spike up my hair and work on my six-pack and guttural screaming, and I'll be ready to do my Celtic ancestors proud.

Ahaha, master builder, I'm hardly that. A lot of the stuff I build is very, erm, square.

 

As far as buildings go, a lot of the time when I do it, it's by the seat of my pants, and I have to look up tutorials for anything complicated. The best thing is to have a plan and work from the ground up. If you're building something that already exists, have screenshots from every angle, particularly from above. If you need a dungeon, you're not going to be able to put it in later, or at least, not as easily, so build that first. If you want towers you're going to also have to use the setHighestAllowedLevel [number] cheat when you start out, give yourself something like ten floors for towers and high walls. I have a crashing problem, so I also save my progress like every ten minutes or so, especially on larger lots.

 

Ack!  Adele!  I love her stuff!  I'm using three sets of hers in my game already.

 

The medieval sims link is a dead one though

I think a lot of the fun of these DLC packs is seeing just how the artists can make Solas look as un-Solas as possible.

 

Not quite my pink armor Solas in terrible Orlesian mask, but between the Avvar mud paint and the strapped one here....

 

 

Also can we get captaincaranis to make a Solas arms post?
