I spent so long n the Deep Roads back then. I was busy and it was such a long slog. Not helping matters was that I played in tactical a lot because it's easier to look and not look at the spiders when zoomed out top down (this was before helpful mods).
I also didn't love the Fade in Origins. It was annoying and took me out of it, even though Broken Circle is one of my favorite questlines in the game.
The Fade was much better in DAI with a Fade nerd squeeing about. 
That's what it will be. Instead of Solas dying in Lavellan's arms, we'll see Varric dying in Bianca's. Then she'll very carefully break the crossbow Bianca and lay it to rest with Varric. How's that for sad?

I hope not... she was probably the biggest disappointment of DAI for me.

Well there WERE war table missions during which Inquisition came in contact with dwarves from Kal-Sharok...
I'm another that would be very pleased with Kal-Sharok. I wanna get in there and find out what those dwarves are like. They have such mixed reports. From what I've read, they sound more progressive in a social sense, less caught up in Castes and repression. But the hints at some sort of corruption caused by the Blight is very interesting. Oooo...I really hope, wherever this DLC takes place, it casts a little more light on some long pondered lore and theories instead of just adding even more questions. While I like mystery, there needs to be some clarification or revelation with previously raised lore. Otherwise the it just becomes steadily more confusing to the point of being indecipherable,

I wouldn't get your hopes up too high for SP DLC just yet. There are whispers of it being MP related.

MP got quite a few sizeble DLCs and updates already, including Dragonslayer, which introduced three new classes and characters, as well as ability to kill dragons - and aside from Zither making his first public appearance at April 1st (what a brilliant move ;D Everybody though it was a joke at first!) they weren't really as overt about it being prepared or released, as they're with... well... whatever is going to be released in (hopefully) near future.

Oh gawd... after seeing this I feel I am indeed growing OLD - instead of enjoying the animation and ludicrious scenario with antrophomorphized animals, I keep thinking just how goddamn implausible it is for the snake to fly the way it does!

Yes, this exactly. MP has been getting updates and they promised it will still be getting updates. But the MP team is different and we're starting to get Deep Roads teases, Even though SP and MP are different teams, there's also nothing stopping them from doing related DLC and rolling something out together, maybe? We can hope.
I love what they did with Zither. It was the best joke until -surprise! - he's real and super fun. Well, I don't have him unlocked yet, but I've played in a bunch of parties with one. I'd kind of love a class like that in SP.
