Those scenes are hilarious, especially since most of them will comment or ask at some point. My favorite might be the conversation with Leliana about Alistair's "performance" and the choice you have what to say.

Even better if Alistair is in the party when you trigger that conversation.  'We are just talking about how you treat her in bed.  Nothing for you to concern yourself with.'

This has to be my favorite picture of "young Solas" with hair. Love the expression on his face.

I think I replayed my canon like 4 times >.>'

Mostly because I'm an incurable perfectionist and after I notice something I haven't done (be it during different play through with a different character or after I read wikia articles for some details) and can't go back to it, there's something I wished I changed in world-state or there are things in that play-through that are just bothering me for some reason... I just can't help but to replay it at some point.

For some time now I've finally got a PT for my main elf mage I'm satisfied with, but I wouldn't be surprised if I replayed it again at some point - likely after we get all the DLCs and I'd start tinkering with mods or something (I'm not using any now, aside from cheat engine, just because I don't want any conflicts with any story expansions we could get).

....Besides, I still have to finish a re-play with my rogue Trevelyan xD;;;

I replay my canon all the time.  I've completed DAI three times, but only with one character.  DAO and DA2 I've lost count of the number of playthroughs I've done as my canon.

@Uirebhiril - Maybe it's my dusty age but like yeah...If I was dating a guy that was ostensibly 30-40 and had like...no romantic experiences prior to me, I'd be like "Soooo...what's happened here?  Problems???".  And he's not 30-40. He's like 8,000 years old if not older.  So...yeah.

Pretty much this.

Pretty much this.

I think most of us agree that Solas is way too smooth and confident to think that he has no experience in these matters at all (besides: wouldn't Imshael point out that there's another virgin, other then Cole, in the party if Quizzy asked for virgins?? ;P) - but my guess is that most of us also think that he had life and love life outside of the Fade before he's decided to take a really long nap (as far as we know, at least).

Question is therefore whether he continued with having a semblance of love life in the Fade... though not necessarily with (simple? Simpler?) spirits.

Kinda makes me wonder... there were other elves entering uthenera after Mythal's death - we know that from Abelas' writing in ToM. I wonder what happened to them? Maybe they kind of... deteriorated, turning into spirits?

Maybe the spirit of wisdom Solas befriended - someone he calls 'one of his oldest friends', was an elf in uthenera at some point, but either something happened to her physical body or she wasn't strong enough to not...well... fade away in the Fade and turn into just another (albeit powerful) spirit?

Maybe this is why Cole later says "he hurts for her, another of many he couldn't save"?

Well....Solas himself says that it has been a long time in conversation after the fade date. what does long time mean to an immortal? That's the real question.

True... though it depends what context there is for that statement. Was it a very long time for him to get infatuated/be intimate with a mortal again? With a real being? Was it very long time from Inquisitor's perspective? (doubt it though, he does repeat that it's been long since he could trust someone or have the support of others, so he must've felt the passage of time).

Is Solas actually immortal?

Is Solas actually immortal?

I think that both Solas, Abelas and the other Sentinels are immortal, which is both why they seem to hold the view that the modern elves are little more than Shemlen due to their mortality, as well as how they can survive in Uthenera for centuries with no ill effects.

Like how being in a coma doesn't prevent someone from aging, my suspicion is that even if a modern Elf became a master of Uthenera and could sustain themselves via the Fade, their mortality means that prolonged time in that state would eventually lead to their death from old age.

This is wonderful....but am I the only one who wants to know whether Solas ever actually....had hair??? :o

I didn't think anything of it in my first playthrough because he's supposed to be 40. But now whenever he's onscreen I just squint at him like.... "What you're saying is very interesting, but were you always bald?" Was he born that way, does he prefer life free of high-maintenance hair, or is it a side effect from your physical body being in stasis for >1,000 years?! I must know.

I really want some answers on these topics. I really want to know waht the deal was/is with elves being immortal/mortal because I kind of doubt it had anything to do with being near humans. I have the itchin' suspicion it has to do with something else.

True, but I recall reading in a codex (either for Abelas or Sentinels... I'll find it eventually) that armors and materials brought from Temple of Mythal were examined and the scholars have determined that none of it could be preserved in a state they were brought to Skyhold, if Abelas was telling the truth and they were indeed hundreds/thousands of years old.

It might be therefore that the magical stasis elves enter to find themselves in uthenera freezes time (and we DO know that time-freezing magic exists in Thedas; like in Tevinter temple in Western Approach) - so up until the ancient elves who know how to enter uthenera and perhaps use some sort of special magical aura that preserves their bodies even for millenia, they're indeed immortal... But after they wake up, they're mortal like everyone else?

... On the other hand, Abelas tells Quizzy (I paraphrase) "maybe only Uthenera awaits - blissful, eternal sleep, never to awaken, if fate is kind", like he was indeed immortal to a point that he couldn't do anything about it (though Morrigan killed him rather easily).

It might be however that only he is truly immortal due to being high priest of Mythal. Something tells me that the immortality as well as many special powers elves (especially those of higher status) had, might have been due to some kind of bond with elvhen gods. Elvhen gods are no more though and question is whether Solas has enough power to keep himself immortal as well, at least outside of the Fade. He DOES have the signs of ageing after all.

Jaws of Hakkon had a codex entry that suggested that some ancient ruins are far older than they appear, due to local Spirits helping to "preserve" the site in some fashion by keeping away most plants and animals who might hasten the natual decay. Could be that the process of Uthenera, especially when done in a large group like the Sentinels practice, is capable of gaining enough attention from spirits to preserve the sites and the objects within.

This could explain why the Brecilian Ruins in Origins, that supposedly dated back to the time of Elvhenan according to the Arcane Warrior, were so well preserved despite their age, as we we encountered a vast amount of spirits, demons, shades and ghostly "echoes" inside. It also contained a vast amount of sarcophagi throughout the ruin that might have once been used by those who were in Uthenera, which could explain why it was designed more like a mausoleum than a place that anyone would have lived?

Quite a lot of elves in ToM are shown to be bald, so it might be the side-effect of uthenera. But unlike Abelas, Solas has brows, so some hair at least does seem to grow back :P His scalp looks scarred though, like he's burned his hair out.

It might as well be some kind of spell that stops the hair growth... to prevent possibility of an elf in uthenera to get strangled or suffocated by his/her own hair after a couple hundred years of it growing and filling the elf's tomb :D

Now that would be an ironic ending! As well as a hilarious sight! Can you imagine Solas being unable to stop Corypheus from taking his orb, because he couldn't get out if his tomb due to sheer mass of his hair? xDDD

Or how bloody amusing the sight of barely awoken Sentinels would be???

...Oh dammit to hell. How could've I forgotten about this song!?

I can't stop laughing when I hear it now - this probably should be an unofficial main theme song for hypothetical Wolf Hunt DLC

This maybe blasphemous of me to say, but immortality is the one aspect of the Elvhen, I've never liked. *don't throw eggs....clean shirt.* I get that they are not meant to be viewed as "unkillable", or any such thing (obviously, since we know that some had been killed in Uthenera - throats slit - and Mythal was "murdered".....sorta  ). However, I am not fond of entire races being immortal. Would personally love if it turned out that a combination of an extensive life (say, living 500 to 1000 years, as a normal life span), combined with a form of statis (i.e. Uthenera), is what gave the perception that the elvhen were immortal.

I know, I know....it won't happen, and I just have to deal. LOL! It is, what it is, at this point. Meh. Just my own views. Here, have a Solas - Dragon's Dogma style. ;)

I've doubts that Solas would be a philanderer or likely to use spirits in that way. If it's even possible.

Though curiosity might drive my Lavellan to ask if it is, and if so, what's it like. :P

I don't think Solas would do that either but then my curiosity was piqued.

At first I thought his relationship with Wisdom was just a deep friendship. Then later on Blackwall grills him about sexy fun times in the Fade and I thought that maybe something did go on. But then I thought nah, Solas wouldn't take the risk of corrupting a spirit. But perhaps his friendship with Wisdom went beyond platonic, just no sex involved. I really wonder if "there are considerations" also included distancing himself from Wisdom.

I don't even know if I want to know but my curiosity sometimes gets the better of me.

So I've been looking at the new qunari armor and the minimalist version is funny.  On Solas they take away his shoulders (seriously, he had shoulders before!) and somehow managed to make him look both ripped AND starving at the same time.  And on female Lavellan she goes from practically being a stick figure with breasts in the Skyhold pjs to putting on less clothes and gaining 20lbs or so.

I like the way she looks better in the qunari armor lol.

I haven't played Skyrim in awhile nor did I mess around as a mage yet (I mostly went dual wield). But I think that could work. High elf, destruction magic, and you might want Dawnguard DLC to collect all the totems so you can shapeshift at will.

Lore-wise I'd go for High Elf - with all their reminiscing of past glory and stuff.
