I can't help but dress Solas in fancy things because even though he does pull off the hobo apostate well enough, he looks much better in silk brocade and white. Though Iremember describing his early game dress to a friend and using the word hobo, so when I got the banter with Dorian about his "look", I laughed so hard.

When this is all we have left to discuss and dissect, I think it points to officially being time we have a DLC to give us new things to focus on.
... Well, I only pray that this DLC won't bring us new things to focus on that can only be summarized with "Damn you, Bioware!"

I do like him in fancy white+black/gray materials (especially on mail armor), though probably the color/material that fits him best IMO is lambswool - a very dark, earthy green color^^.... Though I can't help not to note how fancy ring velvet + stormheart combo looks (not just on him).

They've been dropping very heavy-handed hints that a new story DLC focused on the dwarves, deep roads, and darkspawn will be released soon. Everyday for the last week there's been a new tweet focused on that.
EDIT: Frankly All I want is this
All the hints have also made me go "Man I can't wait to see the Architect again, he was super cool!!"
Then I remember my canon Warden killed him. Damn. Enjoy it for me if he comes back, guys!

You know how Corypheus can body-hop into ghouls like Wardens?

Assuming he is able to bodysurf, he'll come back for everyone!

I completely forgot Seranni. (And Utha...? Was a Grey Warden ghoul iirc)
Here's hoping he also performed a soul backup at some point. I'M EXCITED NOW
Edit: Except if the Inquisitor's the one to meet him.....she'd be killing him too. :')

Utha technically should have looked like a particularly nasty genlock with kung fu action and monk robes, because that's how she rolls.
We need a specific term for the Grey Warden Ghoul variant, I think.
I just have this headcanon of the Inquisitor striking down the Architect as he's trying to explain everything, and the Architect bodysurfs to the Hero of Ferelden in the West. But rather than ripping him apart to remake his body like Corypheus would, the Architect politely resides on the back of his head, and A Very Potter Musical Quirrell/Voldemort situation develops. ![]()

I usually have Solas wear lambswool (wolf in sheeps clothing eheh), cotton and great bear hide. But blue does look good on him as well as the ring velvet. Sometimes I use velveteen. I also tint Lavellan's armor with the same colors so they're a matching couple.
I tried out both silks on Solas but it just doesn't go with his style. He would probably find it over-the-top and frivolous. So I leave the brocade and silks for Dorian and Viv.

wait, people actually keep the architect alive?
I mean, I did on my first playthrough because, well, meta-gaming. He's a fantastic character and I'd love to see him again. But hell, I can quite never justify keeping him alive from an RP point of view.
also no DLC yet? ack. I suppose if a longer wait = more developed and thought-out story, dialogue, choices, etc. then I'm ok with waiting.

"Stop the Blights at any cost" is pretty crystal clear on goal, murky on method. ![]()
There's only a ninety percent chance of it backfiring on my Wardens. ![]()

Who knows? It might have worked if they had gotten more bang-for-their buck, demon wise, and if it wasn't for the whole binding themselves to Corypheus instead of the Order bit. ![]()

We do know that Solas seems to think otherwise. Although how he thinks killing last two (potential) Archdemons would end is currently an unknown ![]()

Actually, it's a possibility that it would begin an endless Blight
Like, at this point, the Darkspawn seems to only stick to Deep Roads, because they focus their efforts on digging to last remaining Old Gods... so what happens when their song ceases?

I could see Zazikel's High Priest being the guy dinging on a triangle with an incredibly intense look on his face as the Architect plays a mournful piano set and Corypheus sings. ![]()
EDIT: Technically this is approaching canon because Corypheus is derived from the Greek word for conductor of a chorus. ![]()

- They they start mindlessly killing each other, and stave to death.
- Emissaries and Alpha darkspawn attack the world like feudal lord. They would bring about a series of mini blights that would lead to the death of most of the land and culture of Thedas.
- Magically melting healing the of their sickness.

I hope we get to fight and kill Solas.
Please put down the pitchforkes and let me explain myself.
I played a human and had positive approval with Solas (which surprised me considering I allied with the Templars, the Wardens and drank from the Well. I guess curiosity pays off) and the feeling I had by the end of the game was two men who respected each other even if they tended to disagree and Solas' final words appeared to be a warning and an apology, as I am sure you know.
Solas has made decisions that fundamentally changed the world twice and caused great suffering. Whatever he plans will probably not be favorable to humans. Therefore, I can't see anything but a confrontation in the future for these two. So, what I am hoping is one last talk where they both acknowledge they both have good reasons for doing what they are doing and apologize for what they feel must be done. Then, a one on one fight with Solas taking the form of a giant wolf.
After he has been mortally wounded and has returned to his elven form, the Inquisitor holds his hand so he knows he is not dying alone.
That is what I want.
But none of this means female Lavellans who romanced him shouldn't have an entirely different outcome.

It was an intriguing thing to strike a deal with him, so mine kept him alive. There was a threat to take care of, and he was different.
