Ohh, I bet there'll be lots of LadyQuiz stuff though, so that'll be great to see! And ahh, October... So far. And yet farther still is November. But at least it'll be the same season and also offer me things like Halloween, aka the best holiday ever, to be distracted by. It's September I dread... 'Tis a boring month on its own, nvm when I'm dying for Fall, aurgh...

 

I've never come to understand why people dread September....my husband hates September I know a few others that don't like September and then you have that song " Wake me up when September ends." ( my birthday is in September ) :'(

 

Part of hopes (wants) Solas to be romancable.

 

 

I am 99.9% certain he is. We've had so many hints already and elf dude LIs are a Dragon Age staple.

But back to the topic of Solas. I personally find him interesting and would romance him happily if the opportunity presented itself, but I think Varric is much more likely due to race-gating.

i remember playing dragon age 2 and thinking i wish I could be a qunari mage and use that spell.
And then Mike Laidlaw used his somniari arts, saw my dreams, and totally added it in inquisition.
At least that's my opinion lol

Aww, don't feel bad! My best friend's birthday is in September, too. For me, it's mostly a seasonal thing... Like, it's just this weird limbo between Summer and Fall. It doesn't really feel like either season and that just drives me nuts. Plus for some reason, nothing ever seems to be going on in September... Which makes people with September birthdays pretty cool, 'cause they give you a reason to party, heh.

Friera: if I remember correctly, it was sayd no one had announced the last two LI are race gated. the only ones we know who aren't are Josephine and Iron Bull, but is still a mistery who the race gated are.

It's been confirmed that the last two LI's are not both race-gated.  So that means that at least one of the remaining LI's is ungated and at least one out of Cass, Cullen, Sera, and Dorian is race-gated.  So Solas could very well be an LI and ungated still.

On one hand, yay, that totally fits Solas and it's all great. On the other, that would mean Viv (I'm determined that the other LI is Viv) is race-gated, the thought of which is really upsetting. /sigh

It's the gameplay part of the demo but it's HQ and YOU CAN TOTALLY HEAR SOLAS. Aaryn is still talking over him but since it's actually good quality you can still catch a little bit of him if you listen for it! His speech bubble pops at 1:39 but Aaryn's louder there so it's kind of garbled... I think he's saying "there it is"? But at like 1:41 you can clearly hear "we should head to the castle" sooo.
FOUR WHOLE WORDS YEAH!
(Plus the blue robe in HQ! He looks even prettier eeeee...  )

edit: also static cage looks AWESOME oh man. reminds me of the Qunari AOEs from 2... and those were always getting me killed if i didn't see them coming and/or stood in them for too long. pretty stoked at the idea of having something like that helping me this time, ahh.

I could hear his one little line when I jacked up the volume and shoved my ear to my laptop speaker. Sounds like normal GDL, though, with that nice, deep voice. *rawr*

 

 

My theory is that after Cassandra finds us she throws us into prison, then Solas (who saw everything while walking the Fade) comes along and tells her he knows how to end this, but he needs the guy/gal she threw in the dungeon to do it. Desperate for a fix she gives you both a chance to close the Breach, and lo and behold, you can. Then everything is set into motion.

 

I may be wrong, but I think it would explain some things we saw in the trailer.

 

That's what I was thinking as well. Was actually going to type that up as a theory and then I saw you beat me to it while I sit here catching up on the thread. LOL

Heh, you're welcome! I was looking around for Alien: Isolation things when I saw that in the sidebar and I thought, hmm, what if it's actually HQ? And lo! It was! And I could hear! Immediately ran to the thread like MUST SHARE. Glad to be of service.

Yooo I feel you there. My first DA2 I romanced Fenris... or, at least attempted to. Needless to say, considering I very much support mages, that one... did not work out. I only ever got him to, like, 80% friendship... and I was SO CONFUSED. He was totally not my LI but he was still like arguing with Anders about me?? And getting mad when I flirted with other people?? And then didn't bat an eye at me at the end of the game?? But then Varric says he ran away with me at the end?? And I'm just like... WHAT IS GOING ON?

Something I'd like to avoid doing again as it was very stupid and annoying.  Even if they don't tell us you'd better believe I'm going to check online before I think about committing to anyone, lol.

This sounds pretty likely with what we know.  I wonder if him being present in the Fade would have gotten him killed?  He knows about the whole mess somehow.  I'd figured before it was because of all the rifts all over the place but if he finds out sooner, this would be as good an explanation as any.

 

I just need this game so it can answer all my questions.
