It's totally a raven. Thus, using Occam's Razor, I can logically predict the story-line of the next DLC: Dirthamen will descend into the Deep Roads and be fabulous, where he will meet The Architect. Archie will be perfect. And everything is sexual. Solas will pop up and transform into his elfsona "Solas Durden." Homoerotic Fight Club!
Err... raven is also Morrigan's symbol.

If you put it upside down it looks like Dorian's mustache. So maybe Dorian transforms into the undead magister he always was and calls to his brother the Architect in the deep roads and then loghain dies.

@ProfessorX - Not ok. Though he has a more nuanced view of spirits. So as he says when you talk to Imshael - "It doesn't hurt to listen" - I still think he would have viewed what Merrill did as a bit rash.
It's not that I don't empathize with how she feels, but she did not seem to fully understand what she would have to put up to get that. It was clear it was NEVER going to be fixed and Solas would have taken issue with the fact that she did not ask enough questions and do enough research on her own to understand the costs and what was likely going to happen. That's what he hates.
