Yeah, that's not Fiona. I saw speculations that it was a Tevinter mage modeled like in the mobile game and that it was Gleam from that IDW comic.

one non-Solas related thing...in the new trailer, at something like 1:07 there is mage, but I can't understand who she is...is not a companion, nor someone I can remember from previous games...someone have ideas?

A write up of someone who got to play the full Gamescom demo.

Solas was specifically mentioned casting some sort of "Fade spell".

Heheh, YES. Mage is my class so I'm like MAGIC YAAAS. And in DA2 Elemental was fire & ice and Primal was lightning & earth. Not sure why they felt the need to break up the Primal tree from Origins, but they did, and that's what we got instead.

[Content wise I met one of Sky Watcher folks from the demo (not sure whether it was the same one) and I had a short chat. Solas chimed in about something about how he expected Fereldans had more similar opinions on something which made the Sky Watcher NPC respond along the lines of “call me Fereldan again and I’ll kick your ass” ]

I read the bolded text without reading your username first, and thought, "...Carpool?" Then I checked. "Yep. Carpool."

I know it probably won't happen, but it would be just great if we could get drunk with Solas (or any of the companions, really, but we're in the Solas thread). Think of the possibilities.

I don't think I've seen the wrist thing in the other mages, either. Do we have close ups of all their hands?

Ha ha ha! I don't know if people guessing it's me from wording is a good or bad thing. (Or the font I usually use) But I'll say good.

I think he'll be good with coming along to taverns if he has a tankard that size. Not sure if he'd get wasted, but at least maybe he'd be cool just tagging along. (Not unless it's the citadel dlc)

I'm really curious to know exactly what Solas said to that Avvar NPC. Interesting how he seems to be lumping the Avvars in with the rest of Ferelden. Anyone familiar with the tribe's culture and history aught to know that's not likely to go over well. Though I guess Solas' knowledge might be limited in this regard if he hasn't spent much time in Ferelden.

I keep looking at the same place you guys are looking at in the screenshot but now I'm thinking about how wide his legs are and if he's flexible. OMG so wrong!

I wonder if Solas doesn't know or forgot that saying something like that would cause problems. My Inquisitor would probably tease Solas for that unthinking line.  "Ah, so you DON'T always make wise decisions. Good to know."

 

Of course, that will be after she steps forward with all of her qunari intimidation and warns that Sky Watcher against ever threatening one of her companions again. She doesn't mess around when it comes to stuff like that.
