That is a shriek. Confirmed by God aka Laidlaw.  Someone mentioned and he was like "oh you saw the shriek did you!'.  They are consistent with the ones in the first game save the obvious redesign.

The tall one is an emissary.  There are ALREADY Arcane Horrors in DAI(the exalted plains body pits).   They do not look like that. They look like the Arcane Horrors from the previous game.

The emissaries got hot.

*wakes up* Raptor Solavellan is still here. *rolls over goes back to bed*

I was expecting a warning. Seriously what do the mods want. I don't know if I have it in me to go freakier than that...

The first time I saw the trailer I nearly flipped my **** thinking that was the Architect. I killed him in most world states, but I tell you, I hated doing it and would love to see him again.

Initially, during the 2015 Pax South BioWare panel, Mike Laidlaw said he "didn't say no" to the Architect making a reappearance but soon after was corrected by Matt Goldman, the Art Director, who said Mr. Laidlaw had already said "no".

I remember Patrick Weekes mentioned Architect in NerdAppropriate interview - that we might see him in some way in the future, somewhere in the franchise. How much is true though is anyone's guess.

As to whether we're going to see something people speculate about or hope for in Descent... Dunno? I get a feeling some may expect too much from this DLC. I myself try to approach it without really expecting anything other than a few hours of fun... Although I do think there might be a small twist or a reveal or two, maybe even of something nobody is really expecting.

I don't see that in there?  Do you have the exact time where he talks about it?  There was another interview...jeez in February with nerdappropriate and they were talking about how cool the Architect was and Laidlaw was more vague.

That one's from interview in December last year: http://www.nerdappro...patrick-weekes/

They start talking about Architect's plan at around 54:00 and at 54:30 Weekes says "It is possible we will see him in the future - somewhere the franchise takes us".

Yeah I thought I was going crazy when I noticed the same people getting their stuff deleted. Kind of hard but I try my best to repost picture that was deleted to test if it was targetted or not by seeing if my post gets deleted as well.

Yeah... Being elf and mage won't fly. Why is it that witchhunters don't really go after geralt? I thought they go after anything that's non-human. Anyway... Praise the eternal flame

A lot of the mods' actions in the BSN have seemed questionable to me in the past. :(

The witch-hunters would probably be happy to go after Geralt, but their bosses won't let them off the leash. Geralt helped Radovid (albeit accidentally) with his politicking back in W1, and probably won some favor with him at Loc Muinne. (I seriously need to stop giving him access to girls with claims on Temeria's throne. It's becoming a bad habit.) Radovid gives Geralt his support in return for favors, and keeps the Witch-Hunters off his back, basically.

Before I played JoH I thought it would be a mildly interesting new map that just had some more enemies to kill and some minor cool things thrown in for flavor. Instead, it offered lore, history, insight on the Avaar, and a look at the original Inquisiton and the eventual erasure that was placed upon it and the people who led it. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it managed to tie all things together, and for that reason alone I am expecting Descent to be more than just a few hours of fun. I also expect it will offer us plenty to discuss and speculate on. Not about Solas, sure, but there's bound to be a heck of a lot of other stuff that makes up Thedas and that has had our interest since Origins.

Tuesday will be all kinds of fun. :P

Oh, it's not that I'm not expecting anything or that I don't include interesting lore or story beats in "fun" :) I just try not approach this DLC with any expectations in terms of who or what I may see or meet in Deep Roads - I'll try and let it be a surprise :D

Admit it, Giton. You're only here for the dudes with freakishly long fingers.

And now comes the fan-art of Corypheus, the Architect, and Voldemort at a gwent tournament together.

Also, what if your switch out voldemort for Eredin or the Night's King: Possibly Dead Magical Lord Gwent Night? Not that I have any vested interest or anything.

Consider it done. But can I still throw in Jowain?

I thought I was done with this massive eff-upper, but he said the words shackles, and I got invested. Again.

Go where your muse takes you!

I imagine Mod04 is a prim librarian type.  Hair pulled too tightly into a bun.  Never married. No children. Has one cat named Rex.  She eats her lunch at her desk. It rotates between a roast beef sandwich and chicken noodle soup.  She doesn't take extra time at lunch, just continues to work. To moderate.  When she gets home, she places her sensible heels neatly by the door. Greets Rex.  Goes to the kitchen and places his moderately priced cat food into his bowl.  She makes dinner.  Steamed veggies, rice, and some grilled chicken. She washes the dish and sits down in front of the tv - tuned to cspan or some public access show.  She picks up her cross-stitching project which is this intricately embroidered piece surrounding the words-bolded: "NO FUN ALLOWED".

... up until the last sentence I thought you where describing future-me. I'd be a good mod04, but with humor. And I would turn a blind eye to velociraptors.

EDIT:

Give me ... 10 minutes and I can design that for you. What kind of cat is Rex?

A Rex cat, of course.
