Anyway... I guess I could mention Solas is a really inspiring character when I'm having a difficult time. I always remember two of his lines: "honor your mistakes" and "wisdom as its own reward".

Are you sure that page is satire? Looks legit to me, especially going through the blog's dash. You can usually tell quite easily when someone's trying to fake tumblr stereotypes, they way go over the top and are low on the detail, whereas the posts on the blog contain some pretty legitimate points (e.g. arguing that femHakwe/Anders or femHawke/Fenris is not homophobic - who the hell would think they were, geez).

No the blog is fulfilling it's purpose, but I'm talking about the mod page. It's funny because blogs like to list their gender, name, sexual preference and so on. Instead of the mod page talking about the moderators behind it, my impression was that it describes the characters they portray at least the first five. If these are describing the moderators themselves, they picked the right characters to represent them.

Yeah.. Like Avejajed said 4-5 pages ago, there doesn't seem to be a concrete set of rules of what gets removed and what doesn't. Everyone talking about these warnings and post removal is kind of relieving. For a while you would think someone on the thread really hates you and reports your shit every fucking time.

Do the mods on here have numbers instead of names...? That's... odd. I helped moderate a fairly massive My Little Pony forum for a number of months before life got in the way, and I found one of the best ways to go about the job was to join in with the forums like a regular user as much as possible. The more human you make yourself appear, the better people respond to you when you need to pull them aside for bad behaviour.
I take the same approach to teaching as well. The more you make yourself likeable and approachable to the kids, the more willing they are to behave well for you.
Anyway, what is the official stance on NSFW art? I'd assume ensuring that it's spoilered, tagged, and perhaps text-linked rather than an embedded image would toe the line for almost every forum I've visited.

I don't know much about the BSN's system, but my experience on other forums tells me it's because girls and guys are all volunteers and each individual might only see about 30% of posts, anyway. So it's not so much a mystery as a lack of resources, most likely.

You're damned if you do or don't when it comes to anonymity versus being in with the regular users. Larger forums and more mods can lead to inconsistency. You might have a ton of reported posts to deal with but not always check the full context and miss some. I have no idea what the backend mod system looks like here but some are very stringent.
In any case, I find myself listening to k.d. lang again, which was a spiral originally brought on by that blog post where the writers listed what they wrote DAI to and so Weekes takes all the blame for hooking me on her music because of her cover of Hallelujah for Solas.
But The Consequences of Falling also makes my Solavellan list. Listening to that song now.

Exactly. Me too! This is why my other half was so confused as to why I had clocked 300+ hours on my save file while he had completed the game in a few days. We even had this conversation:
Him: Are you really still playing this game?
Me: I'm a completionist, honey, I gotta do everything!
Him: I did everything! I killed all 10 dragons! I even have the achievement to prove it. Did you kill all the dragons?
Me: Of course I did! I also did every single quest.
Him: ....
Me: ...You do know there's more than 10 dragons now, right?

Thank goodness there is a search option + the 'make it an even better search option' perk. Makes the looting and treasure hunting thing all that much easier.
Haha! I had almost the same conversation with my husband yesterday evening. The only difference is that he hasn't played the game. Every time I "finish" a PT, I tell him "OK, I'm done". So he's relieved because he can have his PC back but what I omit to say is "I'm done with the main quest (appart from "Doom...", not going anywhere without Solas) and I still have to finish some side quests here and there, collect some shards and mosaic pieces, Ooh and I forgot the astrariums there, etc..."!!
