i did. and there is a vhenantrash comic coming up from liz detailing my exploits.  the game does not read if you found out about him or not. and he keeps saying things like he's still pretending to be a warden even though we know he's not. at all.

 

im just going with he has like a nervous breakdown in the deep roads a la anders and is like "I AM A WARDEN."

Well I'm (mostly) over it now.

 

I get that I'm not everyone's cup of tea, and I even get that I'm kind of a ****** sometimes. But I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a sadistic sociopath and it kind of hurt my feelings, which actually sort of proves I'm not a sociopath at all. lol.

So Red Lyrium seems to suggest that somewhere, a Titan is corrupted. I wonder if perhaps 'the void' is actually a term for the space within a Titan.

 

Flemeth's daughter, Yavana mentions that Great Dragons are the life blood of the world. This DLC suggests Titans. The Old Gods are still buried beneath the earth, and being sought out by the corrupted darkspawn.

 

I do not think either statement is incorrect, I just wonder how it all fits together.

 

An additional thought. Because it seems likely that a Titan is corrupted, thus creating Red Lyrium, then Lyrium itself is not the cause of the blight as some theories have speculated. It just seems to be a very powerful transmitter of it.

 

One thing that is interesting is this: - All the things that seem to be missing from the world [Elven immortality, direct connection to the Fade, Dwarven connection to their Titans, Great Dragons] seem to be heavily tied to magic. Then something happened to sever all of them. I wonder if something out there specifically targeted magic and tried to remove it from Thedas.

 

Hence, the great 'betrayal' that Flemeth talks about ? Flemeth on Mythal: "She was betrayed as I was betrayed, as the world was betrayed !" In the opening of Dragon Age Origins, in the cutscene, you see a tree being blackened and fading away. The tree is the symbol of Mythal.

 

That point, Mythal murder coupled with something else, seemed to spark some major reactions in Thedas. Worse still, it appears that the beings responsible for them are still around. If not Mythal would not be working for few thousand years for vengeance.

Someone suggested posting here because I only just recently got the game and finished my first play-through tonight. In my game I am an elven mage and I romanced Solas, and now I am very sad because it ended, AND he disappears from the game. That, and he took all the sweet gear I gave him, and I liked having him in my party as well. I probably invested too much into the romance, that is a given...And I knew it was supposed to not end well (unlike all the other romance options). But I also thought you got him back post-game. I have now learnt that is untrue, and I don't know what to do now lol. I have too many feels. 

EDIT: Wait, he is at the party and banters in one of the posts? Then why wasn't he at my party? EDIT EDIT: Wait, nevermind. I realise they mean party as in the group you take with you lol. I don't know why I thought party as in having a party...I even refer to them as "my party" when I go out questing.

I really hope they bring him back and expand on it...It seems like they left in a way that they would. I hope the next DLC has him in it...Especially if you can help/bring him back. You still seem to have the Anchor, surely you would be able to help him achieve whatever it is he seeks to do (probably let the Old Gods out or whatever).

Lyrium is Titan blood! Best eight month theory pay off I've ever had. I can't wait for Templars to find out they've been doing the dwarven equivalent of blood magic. Delicious.

What was interesting about that particular temple was the number of June mosaics in there too.

 

@Kissiebear, @Giton, @nikki-tikki and @Meer and I were throwing around the idea that perhaps June was responsible for what happened to the dwarves. He cut them off from the Titans to elevate himself. In essence becoming a god in comparison and cutting them off from what they were.  



So yeah. That. Basically.

Since I had the first (and hopefully last) epileptic fit of my life several weeks back, I now have to do several check-up and exams. This morning, I had an EEG recording set-up installed, and I have to keep it until tomorrow. Sadly, while it's recording, I must stay far away as possible from my laptop (except when it runs on battery like now) and from my phone. We know that the Lyrium is the blood of the Titans. Which means Red Lyrium is due to a blighted Titan. I also believe that the Void is a space within the Titans. But where could the blighted Titans be ?

 

What if the tainted Titan lies under Kirkwall ? We saw the Primeval Thaig there. The Thaig was deep and yet it had Golems as well as Fade creatures and the Red Lyrium idol. The Thaig also predated Dwarven history and the First Blight.

 

What if the Darkspawn are actually creatures who were living in a blighted Titan, consuming Red Lyrium and when the Tevinter magisters decided to enter the Fade, the disturbance awoke the blighted Titan and unleashed the Darkspawn ?

I'm wondering if the primeval thaig was the blighted titan. It's the only other place we have seen all that pretty branching lyrium. Then again, the lyrium was still blue in DA2 and the only bit of red was in the idol. We also see all the profane. Mini titan guardians?

 

It's pretty clear that the Blight predates the 7 Magisters. I'm pretty sure they became blighted in the Black City (instead of the chantry tale where they blight the Golden City). Whether or not they actually reintroduced blight back into Thedas or just awoke it is an interesting question!

"Ma Vhenan, you know I love you and your fascination with the Fade... but not every conversation requires you dropping some knowledge-bombs or mentioning it when something is vaguely related to it. So if you go to Bastion of the Pure and take a left, there's a tunnel that goes back up to the previous zone. Stay right and you'll get to a chasm, where you'll find a waystone with an Indiana Jones reference. Just walk on air and a bridge will appear to the Nug King. You can find the cheese on the warrens level after doing a table unlock. The cheese will be past the bridge to the right, in a house!

Do you just jump? I figured it was an Indiana Jones reference when I first saw it, so I went ahead and jumped but only ended up falling, so I was wondering if I need to do something else first? Or maybe I made a mistake and it's literally like Indiana Jones and I need to walk off the ledge instead of jump? Or maybe I was just missing the cheese offering at the time?

 

About the party banter

I took Cass, Solas (pre break-up) and Cole. Cass had the least dialogue. Solas had like 4-5 lines and Cole had about the same as Solas. I don't remember getting any dialogue from Solas about the Fade. Maybe it depends on whether or not he broke up with you?

I took Solas pre-breakup too and still only got the fade line. It may be because I took Varric instead of Cole. I imagine Varric's lines trumps Solas' when it comes to the Deep Roads.

Demon corruption and Blight corruption are 2 different sources of magic, according to Avernus. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows which one is right.

In one of the codexes, the Scaled One breathed fire. Combined with the reptilian appearance (I'm guessing this is referring to the lizard-people from the paintings in the Emerald Graves) and I'd put money on this being a Kossith, or what the Qunari were bred from.
