Does anyone have any idea about
Spoiler
I believe that they are...
Demon corruption and Blight corruption are 2 different sources of magic, according to Avernus. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows which one is right.
They are different. Demon corruption is one that draws is power from the Fade or Blood. Blight corruption draws its power from the Taint. Both are different sources of magical power.
Right now in Thedas, we have three known sources of magical power.
1) Fade.
2) Blood - dragon blood, human blood, titan's blood.
3) Taint.

It is either a naturally occurring creature, perhaps a proto-Kossith or a creature created by Ghilan'nain that could also be a proto-Kossith.
The Ancient Elves really are responsible for lots of things aren't they ? I wonder if Fen'Harel is responsible for the creation of werewolves. His woodsman look in addition to his dreadlocks in his concept art as well as his moniker "Dread Wolf" gives me the Hircine vibes. Okay, maybe I am stretching too much with that one.

I wonder if blood is more of a medium on which magic is worked, instead of an actual source? Both the blight and the fade feed on all types of blood (except for dragon blood, which is somehow taint-resistant?)

Oh? I never got that dialogue from Avernus. I hate it when the game contradicts itself. ![]()

Let's see we have Orlais siding with Snake Kings, Tevinter siding with "Moon Men" and the mosaics of the Elvhen gods looking alot like your stereotypical Alien and how

http://dragonage.wik...vinter_Imperium
The earliest humans (neromenians) showed up over 1000 years before the First Blight. The Tevinter Empire was founded about 1000 years before as well. Solas talks about the city buried under volcanic ash called Barindur, which was one of those kingdoms that existed alongside Elvhenan. It seems only dwarves and elves are native to Thedas.

Dammit, all these spoilers and I'm not reading them cause I'm so annoyed at the ONE mod that I use being utterly b*ggered by this DLC. I should really just get over it and go play the damn game that I bought, but I'm in one of those moods today where getting anything less than my way is making me a stubborn grump.
This is my current facial expression...

It's...not great. Like the lore is super interesting but seriously, you could watch some videos and get the same thing. The DLC is actually a bit of a slog to get through and I found the story - aside from the lore dump - to be a bit 'meh'. The companions don't say much that's revelatory. I'm sort of happy that BW will possibly announce the one everyone has all been waiting for - hopefully - the final DLC that is POST GAME soon because this was just...disappointing.

Yeah I agree, I enjoyed it more than JoH, but that's not saying much lol.
Not worth 12 quid imo. ![]()

I actually really liked JoH, but then again, I'm a sucker for lore and I've always wanted to pal around with the Avvar. Dwarves...less so. But I think I should play before the temptation to click spoiler tags becomes nigh-overwhelming ![]()

I really just want to find out how close my own predictions/deductions on the Dwarves/Lyrium/Magic link is to what's been newly revealed in the DLC. while I could just watch it on youtube, i've already bought it and I'm not one to let other people unwrap my presents. Anyhoo, I'll most likely hit it tomorrow and then I'll be on here, trawling through the spoiler threads (when I've not got screaming nephews on my tail, that is).

That final battle...
Well, it was an interesting DLC. I think I liked JoH more, but this one had its moments. The seamless dungeon thing seemed to work well too.
But but... WTH?
So now there's that many more answers we'll have to hope for in whatever upcoming post-game DLC/future games.
