Solas does explain to you that you might act on the geas that binds you to the ancient god (could be either Mythal or Solas) even if you aren't aware of it.  All of your actions belong to Mythal once you drink the Well.  As such, yes indeed you might be unaware that you are acting on orders.  After all it seemed like such a good idea...

 

That said, I can't repeat enough that I have no idea which will turn out best for Lavellan.  From a personal standpoint, I dislike taking the Well because suddenly you lose free will.  From a story standpoint, that could have fascinating and possibly tragic results and could definitely make for a worthwhile tale.

I don't remember exactly what he said after Inky had drank from the well. I'm now playing again and romancing Solas so I'm going to pay more attention to his words. Anyway if the one who drank from the well doesn't know if somebody is affecting his/her action it could be that the one who is in control knows when he/she gives that kind of order. It could also be that the person who is in control can let the one who is bound to know that he/she is being controlled.

 

I don't like either if my PCs will lose their free will but if my PCs are in romance with Solas and he is the one who will get all those people who are bound to Mythal then it adds more tenstion to that romance and makes it more complicated in a good way. Even if you drank from the well it doesn't necessarily mean that the romance will end in tragedy. He migh have control over you but after he has completed his mission I could see that he would let those people free. Hopefully we'll find out soon.

If someone can like, tell me the major news that would honestly be fantastic lol. EDIT: I checked actually it will be at 9:30am here on Sunday but like...Tbh I will probably be sleeping in lol. Especially since I often can't actually fall asleep until like 7-8am *sighs* (I feel asleep after 7am and woke up at 10:20am this morning).

Also, whoever posted Inquisitor Kenny Powers bless you. This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen...Though, I mean...Okay don't judge me but I like Solas' look okay. I like his toeless shoes and ragged green leather coat.

Same! He's her BFF and protector in battle! I'm just still miffed at him on a recent PT when he revived the door to the Crestwood Keep and I somehow got stuck on the inside and got slaughtered while they waited to follow after the door "died" again.

Thank yooou! AND OH. I didn't even notice that! It's especially hilarious because I was playing with putting Mythal's vallaslin in the design (which is like those tree branches). There is a BUNCH of blank space that Solas would have put pattern in to I am sure, or another piece of iconography.... so you use your imagination to fill in the blanks hehe. And I even played with making the sword the Inquisitor symbol. WEIRD. Very similar indeed, hey?

So as for your suggestion, did you mean something like this?

And yeah, something like that, I can see the lines you are talking about but I can also imagine them as part of the scale pattern so I think it works either way, the Inquisition symbol is a veryyy nice touch, I have both versions saved on my computer now.

 

I believe flying pigs would be an excellent addition to the to the monsters of Thedas, they are definitely boss-fight material.

Sorta.  It's a multi-school concert band/jazz band and instrumental solo competition. I'm the conductor for one of the concert bands, so I get to spend the day chasing students, frantically tracking down lost music files and waving a small white stick at 30-ish teenagers armed with noise-making implements. 

 

 

Also calling to the artists here: I've been looking at the Wacom bamboo drawing pad.. Has anyone used it? I'm utterly new to this .

 

A Wacom Bamboo is a great start as a first tablet. They're solid and reliable, and Wacom is the industry standard in graphics tablets. The Wacom Intuos is one notch above them, but if you've never used a tablet before the Bamboo is a good one to 'test the waters' with.

 

Make sure you have a decent drawing program to use it with. Clip Studio Paint, Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop are all popular choices. (I use Clip Studio, which in my opinion is awesome and highly underrated outside Japan, where it's extremely popular. All the stability of Photoshop, the lightweight lag-free environment of Sai, and the ability to create and download a wide variety of brushes.)

The head of the pantheon is whoever "wears the pants," frankly speaking.  Being the first there doesn't make you the most important person.  Maybe you're just the person setting the table for everyone else.

 

Edited to add:  THAT SAID, if further lore evidence comes to light to show that Elgar'nan was in any way in charge of more than he appears to have been, I would be willing to revise my opinion.  Just being first of the pantheon and presumably a man isn't enough for me to think he's the leader.  The head of the pantheon would be the one everyone ultimately looks to for guidance, the one who rules them and keeps them together.  Thus far, we've seen no evidence that this was Elgar'nan and lots of evidence that it was Mythal.

I think of it like Crusader Kings.

Ah well.  Replaying the game has helped me decide that even with the breakup and all the problems, the relationship with Solas was still a net positive for my Lavellan.  She's a smarter, more resilient, and more open-minded person for having known him.
