Can someone explain the 10th doctor reference? I've only seen 1 episode of Doctor Who and don't know much about the show.
Now the bittersweet feelings are hitting me. Not about Solas specifically, but this whole journey with DAI. Following it from early last year until now, when we're about to get to the end. I'm sad to see it ending even though I want more info, to see everyone again and see what happened after Corypheus was defeated.
It's been fun. Glad I got to experience it. Can't wait to see what's next.

Also reminiscent of the last time the Inquisitor sees Solas in the main game. A glance up the stairs.
In all honesty I don't expect it to end well for the romance, mostly because at this point, with the empty helmet artwork and with making the Inquisition's legacy, it really sounds like the Inquisitor is not going to survive.
It would make sense for the Inquisitor to be killed off, because that is one less hero for the developers to have to juggle in the next game.
If that is the case, maybe we'll at least get to see a deeply moving cutscene of Solas mourning the loss of Lavellan.

The Tenth Doctor's regeneration ends with a montage of him saying a final good bye to all his previous companions and making sure they are all alright before that incarnation of the Doctor "dies". It could refer to how this is your last hurrah with your inner circle, it could refer to the fact that the Inquisitor dying at the end is a playable option.

I don't think they will die. You always get to choose your heroes fate, but the empty helm might mean the Inquisition is over.

I think death might be an option but not something that has to happen. But interestingly, that means all DA protagonists are now determinant. Which means they never have to make them show up again because they can say it's too complicated to make it happen.

No, but the Inquisitor likely can, considering that this DLC will be "defining Inquisition's legacy".

The "cover art" for Trespasser was shown at the end of the life feed. It had an empty Inquisitor dragon helmet in the foreground, an eluvian with a shady figure flanked by two Fen'harel statues in the background. Among other details.
I took a better screengrab of the figure on the hill and it does look right.
Inquisitor dying could easily set up a more merciless Solas going forward too. The Inquisitor is one of the only things he finds worthy about the current world, after all, even if you didn't romance him (assuming he doesn't hate you).
Well, unless he's the reason you die. Hahaha....ha...
