Well, Solas did say "In another world..." if you chose sad dialogue, but I suspect that was wishful thinking than anything that's going to be possible.

 

Who knows what's possible for top dawg Fen'Harel. Wasn't he always a few moves ahead?

 

WELL... considering that we may be travelling through alternate dimensions...

 

Yeah, the first time I saw Crossroads, I remember thinking, "Wait are there parallel universes connected to Thedas?" But as far as I know it never got adressed.

Ugh, PS4 will probably be an agonizing day behind PC and Xbox.

My hope is that the essence that is Mythal (and I guess Flemeth now, too) passed on to Morrigan somehow, and Solas just took the uberpower from Flemeth at the end. Or had some power returned to him, whatever. Not a mish-mash of Mythal riding around in Solas and changing the person we got to know. This way we'll see Morrigan again, FleMythal is still present in some way, and Solas can be who he is. As Solas, or Fen'Harel, whatever.

 

Too much to ask?

 

We saw mythal take Uthremiel's soul and power and that having no discernible effect on her - and let's not forget that it's SHE who is apparently a wisp of ancient being, while Solas appears to have never been murdered or have his soul "scattered around".

 

Therefore I assume that Solas simply took her magical, blue elfy magic thing he had no time to build up on his own after the slumber.

LOL No, not really at all, since Witch Hunt was pretty much a kick in the teeth for folks who wanted closure for their Warden with Morrigan. So, now Trespasser may be more similar to being 'Wolf Hunt' than I realized.   I don't think it means the breakup is necessarily permanent, but Solasmancers will only have a small window to resolve their story with him before he goes off to do the rest of his story in potential future installments either without her or with her as an NPC in the future. Especially if Quizzy is a Rift Mage (there's some special dialogue) - places like Crossroads are a pocket of artificial plane someone (well... elves!) constructed long ago, and it apparently is between - or something between - Thedas and the Fade. They're also slowly disintegrating.

 

Morrigan also says that many eluvians that are not locked or broken lead to "places like this" (Crossroads), which is exactly why I assume we will be travelling through Crossroads-like places, perhaps even some ancient elvhen kingdoms or settlements that either disintegrated further than Crossroads or are lingering remnants of something greater that remained after a large cataclysm - hence we see a lot of sections that are upside down or floating.

One day is preferable to months in between, if you ask me. Still, gotta feel bad for those with Xbox 360 and PS3 (I own the latter but bought DAI for PC). Not that I'm trying to reignite the drama or anything of the sort.

As much as a happy ending that would be (I suppose...) I hope my Lavellan won't turn from world-saving hero to stay-at-home mum, ESPECIALLY if her second-half won't settle with her and is "out there", having adventures and turning the world upside-down

Mike Laidlaw just confirmed it's the same actor for Solas, even though he sounds different to some of us.

 

Weird, he doesn't sound different for me  He sounds calm and collected, if not 'whispery'.

I'm not saying it HAS to happen, but we're yet to find out what future the devs serve for Inquisitor, be it in Trespasser or in next DA installments ;P

I know. I knew it was him too, but some people are saying it doesn't sound like him. I joked that they forgot how he sounded after not playing the game for so long lol

 

I never really stopped playing the game. Personally, when I said he soudned different, I didn't mean he sounded entirely unlike himself. Quite the opposite, there's this quiet melancholy to his voice that's still there. But his sounded a lot more like Solas in those few lines post the Winter Palace, a little more majestic and authoritative. It also might be that the armor, his posture, and the animation are all affecting my perception.

Well, I doubt they'd automatically have Solas referencing Lavellan and their babies in DA4 without it being an explicit choice of the player. Not every Lavellan is all up with the baby stuff, and they tend to not force something like that. It's always a choice.
