I'm gping to live in my bubble of denial and say that even though Solas story will wrap up without Lavellan (maybe), he can still end up with her and she'll just be offscreen. Maybe she becomes a Goddess and takes it easy in the fade or whatever.

Yeah, I must admit, I'm no longer very hopeful for lots of closure now that his story will be ending in a future game, without us/Lavellan as active participants. But there will at least be something in Trespasser and hopefully we can squeak out that happy ending. Ideally, we'll see him before the final scene and it will consist of more than a short convo and then a step into an eluvian.

Who says Lavellan has to retire and stay home with kids? I imagine them off hunting together, rather than it being some typical fairy tale ending.

 

Lavellan takes the kids dragon hunting and has to solo the dragons, because they spend all their time on their phones and grumble that this is "lame" and why can't they spend their vacations like normal people? She sends them to collect shards to teach them better attitude. While the kids are at school, she goes to explore ancient ruins and collect lore and artifacts. She also starts her own boutique consulting business which takes off really quickly because of her extensive experience with managing people and resources.

That sounds annoying. I heard xbone got Descent early, plus timezones. It seemed to me like a bunch of Europeans were playing it on PC the early morning before it showed up in Origin for me. 

 

Luckily, Sept 8th is soon! Far sooner than I expected them to release this. So, wow!

This.  Headcanon talk - If anything, being Inquisitor has kind of helped mine cope with/put somewhat behind her the complicated feelings she has had in life (and Dalish guilt trips ) over not being a mother, for reasons.

Don't mind me, just creeping out of the shadows and dusting myself off in light of well, you know. Strangely I had the urge a few weeks ago to start up and finish my Serenity nightmare playthrough - wherein I play a human lady mage that I ship with Solas, even if she's mechanically with Cully Wully for happy endingness. I got all the new dlc and pushed lonely Tiger through it, and was finally getting around to Serenity again, when this news drops.

I was briefly excited for the Trespasser trailer when I saw it. Only to realize that means I only have a few weeks to finish Serenity and prepare poor Tiger Festival Lavellan for whatever is about to happen. Which would normally be also exciting, if I weren't also combating this mild feeling of dread about the fate of my poor elfy inquisitor's already fractured little heart.

Huh. Wonder if that's where he got the name from...
 

Can someone explain the 10th doctor reference? I've only seen 1 episode of Doctor Who and don't know much about the show.

Hopefully if anyone gets murdered by this content we'll have some influence on who it is. I'm not okay with my Inquisitor or Cullen dying. I'm definitely not okay with Solas dying - although his survival seems ensured. Everyone else? Well...

In another world, huh? I usually am a bit annoyed by alternate universe endings, they feel like a major cop out, but if it means a happy end for Solavellan, I'll probably enjoy it.

Anyone noticed the definite differences to Solas' styling? Example: his shoulder guards (idk the name) which used to be silvery white metal are now black. His skirt thingy which used to be light brown is now black. His voice seems to be much more deep. it's almost as if he's become more "dark" of a character. 

 

In retrospect, I think this is all a metaphor for him turning "black wolf" (in comparison to his white counterpart). I just hope he's not going to do something bad enough that makes our inquisitor or a future protagonist in the next game have to take him down. 

 

I really don't want to have to turn against him.

I was just taking it as a non-answer. The Tenth Doctor's "weeeelllll" pretty much just mean "maybe yes, maybe no". I could see that being PWeeke's answer if there was a chance just a few died, or none, or if there exists a chance that they all could die. It's unlikely that the only outcome would be everyone dying, given the ME3 backlash, but I wouldn't put it past them to provide some extreme "lots o' deaths" possibilities that can happen under certain conditions.  They love our tears, but I'd bet money there also will be a happy ending option.

Viviane was the divine. Than inquisitor is pro chantry and probably not very Solas friendly

I think he has everything to do with it. There was a site I went to that hypothesized the inquisition allying with the ancient elves: http://femhype.com/2...lc-just-leaked/

 

If this is true, then I am almost sure Solas is either leading the elven side of the alliance or manipulating it greatly. 

 

No matter what, though, I'm just hyped for some ancient elvhen content that is probably going to be heavy in this DLC.
