I literally just posted this on tumblr after considering it earlier.
Solas: I suspect you have questions.

Inquisitor: *spirit blades him*

Solas: Wait a moment…

Inquisitor: *gives him a wedgie*

Solas: This is ridiculous!

Inquisitor: Not even bothering to … What’s that thing Sera says? Elven Glory? No Elven Glory!

Solas: In a dif-

Inquisitor: *brutally murders him, somehow, it happens*

Realistically, she will be concerned and angry but mask it and be diplomatic because waving many middle fingers his general direction and such.

That's always struck me as an owl, not a raven. The beak is an owl beak. The spots on the breast and the streak on the top of the head are like an owl, too. Not sure which subspecies it specifically reminds me of. I want to say spotted or barn?

 

Its always weirded me out/intrigued me that the symbol for the circle of magi seems to often involve an owl holding a ring, too. Leaves me wondering if there is some Dirthamen connection there.

So, I was watching Ashes break down youtube video. She showed a still of what she thought was Weisshaupt. I personally think it was tevineter, because of this art..

On a different note, I am super excited about this new up coming DLC. I am not trying to decide if I want to do one more complete canon Play through.....just to make sure. I will say this, I will be have the anger of a thousand exploding suns; if they decide to Solas this repulsive bad guy in the end. I think that is a terrible idea. However, I have faith in Patrick Weeks to not allow this. :: Clings to optimism flag fiercely ::

And it reminded me of this old concept art that got tweeted out along with a quote about the wellspring of magic or something from the Chant of Light. And the pic was labelled the "Fall of Arlathan".

I'm wondering if that area in the DLC is what this concept art ended up becoming, now, rather than it being the Temple of Mythal, like I've seen some say.

Trevelyan: I had intended those questions to be primarily connected to your welfare. I've been concerned. But yes, unfortunately there are now rather a lot more tumbling onto the pile.

It would depend partly on the circumstances/context of our meeting, but at the end after he leaves, she's a mix of worried, angry, upset, and still has much love. I figure the raw heartbreak is mostly patched over after two years but there's always something unfinished and that worry remains. So I feel like a rush of several different emotions is inevitable.

 

I don't have a line in mind. Too context dependent. But mine would probably have about five different questions at once.

Is it really him? He looks like him....He even sounds like him. I must be dreaming again. The Inquisitor reaches out her arm and extends it in Solas's direction. She needed to feel him, flesh and bone. Upon realization, she could do little more than stare at him blankly. "Sol.......Solas?" Her voice breaks from the hurt and anger that had built up over the past two years.

 

There you go....That is all I got.

Finally caught up! My thoughts...   8th September can't come quickly enough for one. HYPED

 

I really hope that the encounter with Solas is not a kind of repeat of the 'in another world' chat from the main game.  Its not a continuation of the romance that bothers me so much (although to have it continued on some level, even just a promise would be nice).  It is being potentially shut out from being a part of what Solas is trying to achieve that concerns me most (I know that we don't know his goals, but I can't help but imagine that they are something that two of my Lavellan's would get behind - he's a good guy, his goals are not going to be evil right?...RIGHT??!)  So if they just get left behind again without a super good reason that could feel a bit empty.

 

Ideal scenarios for me

 

Lavellan gets to go with Solas and be part of whatever is going on.

Solas leaves, but promises to try and return some day.

Solas enables Lavellan to go into uthenera to escape her present life (too famous, too much inquisition crap) on a promise to wake her 'in another world'

Lavellan dies, tears all round - VERY VERY VERY OPTIONAL!

 

First question she asks...

By the way, haven't played Witch Hunt myself (because I just didn't get it out of stupidity) but I decided to look how the meeting with Morrigan looks like

I found myself wondering whether there were any parallels seeing they vamoosed out their friends and lover's lives, gone away for long while (Solas 2 years, Morrigan is undecided? Either 1 year or 2.5 years), both are apostates, etc.

 

So, I decided to watch a PT of Witch Hunt, just for that, skimmed through just to see when Morrigan makes an appearance.

So, apart from the fact ruins are plentiful in both locations, I find it quite nice how it seems both Morrigan & Solas are first met in front of an active eluvian and how they both acknowledge the protagonist with slow look around the shoulder.  

I think that that cutscene is a nod towards those who played Witch Hunt, and perhaps a wink towards Solasmancers? But that's just wishful thinking

Morrigan speaks of a change that is coming to the world, and in Inquisition you can see that full on, it's interesting.

 

(Also, kind of amused one of the followers, Ariane, is a dalish and her keeper's name is Solan XD)

That's a tempting option, if ever offered, for my Lavellan. In my first run of the elven inquisitor, she lost her clan. And to be honest, if the Inquistion were completely dissolved, there'd be nowhere else for her to go to, as she's basically the last of her clan left and quite possibly won't be taken in by another. Especially since she's a mage, and from what I gathered from Minaeve's tale, that doesn't always bode well with some Dalish clans.

 

I'd rather she'd leave with her love through the eluvian, but if denied that option, and I sure as heck don't wish to kill her off, then maybe she could enter uthenera and I'd be fine with it.

My first Lavellan turned out to be very isolated too.  She was not really close friends with any of the rest of the team (although she was never mean to them) and tbh her still being with the inquisition two years later is a bit of an immersion breaker for my head canon for that PT.  I really hope I can make that story work for her... She was most devastated about the breakup (probably because I was feeling it the most then myself   ) and didn't even attend the party, just went to bed   .
