Ah, her.   I've watched her videos and we've interacted on Reddit a few times. She's definitely looking out for Solas.

Guys, can someone with good voice recognition confirm or deny that the lady qunari in the trailer is voiced by Gwendoline Christie? Please? Because I've been worried about the time it took to develop DLCs, the two big ones we've had so far felt like they where... not rushed, but could've done with more time.

 

If that qunari is Lady Brienne herself... then the DLC has likely been in production since long before the game was even released.

 

 

I wondered who she voiced and when I heard that qunari lady I thought that it must be her.

Yeah they said they are aware we wanted more follower interaction in Descent and decided to make this Citadel-like so depending on approval and choices made in the main game, we will have a different interaction with each companion.

That's great. I think that's what most of us wanted if we can only figure out what to do about the egg?

I really hope so, I've heard voice acting is generally among the last things done during production and it was known that she had done something for DA:I in April 2014(!). I hope that means it's all polished and shiny for us

I always had a sneaking suspicion that he would be out to get the power of the Anchor back off of us eventually. While I'm sure "Mythal essence" is a nice little booster, the Anchor is now the only real remnant of his power that remains now his orb is broken. Perhaps the Anchor is becoming more unstable as Solas grows in power, the magic trying to get back to the one that created it. Perhaps, depending on his status with you, he could offer to take the mark from you peaceably or, if you had an antagonist relationship, he could take it back by force.

Hmm. That doesn't sound bad actually. No closure means that Inqusitor won't necessarily die and it is something. No closure means anything is possible, right? Maybe he will leave but promise to go back for Inquisitor? Or to meet with her in the Fade?

 

It is better than "You will get closure, buy you may not walk away completely saitsfied".

 

Or so I hope. Please tell me that makes sense and it's not a false hope.

 

God, I'm terrified, hearts are fragile things... and BioWare has some real power over our feelings. I hope they realize now that too much drama is not healthy for anyone.

I'm hoping that I'm overreacting. I think it could also mean that not everybody is going to be happy. Maybe we can walk with him through that Eluvian but not everybody is going to be happy because they wanted something more. Something that can't happen because he has some things to do like he can't join inquisiton.

... Only I think they simply may mean "walk away" from the story as a player (since this is a final DLC for DAI), not necessarily walk away as a character....

I kinda wish they'd announced the release day as like, October 30th or something. That way I could have just gone 'Ah, two months away, let's not get too hyped yet. Still a bit of a wait' and I could have picked up another game to play and just got lost in that until release.

 

But no.

or in the case of this EU PS4 owner; TEN FREAKING DAYS AWAY.

 

It's not enough time to occupy myself with another game. But it is enough time for me to be unbearably impatient.

I still can't get away from that tenth doctor reference. Now I just keep thinking my Inquisitor is going to die slowly from that glowing hand and be forced to say their goodbyes as they prepare for the end.

Imagine if the canon was for Hawke was to be left in the Fade and all your DA Heroes end up becoming corrupt immortals. Like, the HoF becomes like an ancient magister while trying to cure the blight sickness, FadeHawke becomes some kind of spirit and Inquisitor becomes whatever the Elven Gods are.

Aha. And that's how they'll wrap up all the play character stories

Based on approval each meeting will be slightly different, especially for romanced Inquisitor's, but they promised all our former companions/advisers would all get big moments with us.

 

You know what, nervous anticipation for Solas aside, I'm really looking forward to getting a big moment with our girl Cass, and baby boy Cole. I love those two.

Yeah, I think he was in the midst of writing the Paladin Caper at the time. Reality is it could be any of his projects.

 

The tweet was just something that stuck with me because all along, they've been very clear on the message that Solas is a tragic character. A lonely bargain fits with what I expect as the best case scenario with the Solas romance.

This is my train of thought, too.  To reclaim his power to achieve his goals and help "the People".  However, I would think that he would have addressed this already if it were easy...so I'm thinking maybe there is a risk it will kill her and he has been putting it off?  Beware the plot bunnies...

She was never heard in the main game, so if that was her role, it would make sense. The quest to find Solas was cut from the main game, so this might have also been in the works for months. I still think the other DLC was like throwing candy to hungry children to calm them while they worked a year on this DLC, taking in all our suggestions and adding to it as they went.

 

I always thought that Gwendoline Christie was the voice of Dalish, since the tweet that implied she was in the game mentioned the Chargers?

My fav part about Cole is he will have changed based on you choice. If you made him more human, he will not be the Cole you remember.

I love Cole's arc in the same way I love Solas' arc, I'm really excited to see what my choice will finally pay off to (assuming it pays off to anything). But you're right, two years since Coryflakes' defeat is a long time for Cole to get settled into his human/spirit self, I'm eager to see how he's changed.

 

I just hope he isn't the sad puppy he was in the book.

 

ALSO CAN I POINT OUT HOW JEALOUS I AM THAT THIS MEANS THE OTHER ROMANCES HAVE HAD 2 YEARS (3 INCLUDING THE INGAME TIMELINE) OF A FULL RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE ROMANCES?! EVEN BLACKWALL GETS A LONG TIME LOVIN'!.. no disrespect to Blackwall fans.

I would like that! It would be better to know that he loves you and he is doing everything he can so that you can be together than finding out that you can't be together. I believe that at least is possible
