OK, I'm curious: How did Solas first catch your eye?

Really though, I knew I'd want to romance Solas before I even played the game. I always play as a female elf, Solas only romances the female elf... IT WAS MEANT TO BE 
Both Vivienne and Solas have something to say about KE. For Rift Mage - it's Solas and Cole.
Solas never said anything about it to me, and I always checked in on him every time I came back to Skyhold. Bum. D:

Wait, wait, wait! What does Cole say if you're a Rift Mage? I'm usually a Rogue (Tempest, and no one but Bull talks to you about it!), and the only time I went Mage was as a Knight Enchanter and only Vivi was the only one interested, and even then it was to say "ofc I'm a KE lol".
Also, Solas' conversation about specialisations is bugged. If you finish All New, Faded For Her before talking to him after you get your spec then you don't hear what he has to say. Usually I end up getting my spec, talking to him and picking up his quest, then talking to him again to hear his convo about it.

Hmm, he didn't seem "not nice" just interested in your choice and your reasons for it. Although I think there's a bug where he approves of an elf but disapproves of a non-elf? Not sure.

D'aww! Cole's so sweet! I love it when he describes someone as being quiet (although it's usually Solas, isn't it?). I really can't wait to see how he is. xD

I thought it was for Rift Mage but I could be wrong. It's been awhile since I chose either one.
Edit: Since played a mage that is. I don't like necromancer much so I haven't really played that.
MS has dragged and then the latest smut. In addition to just being unexpectedly thrown in there, it wasn't even the same story in terms of tone and feel. I will have to see if she dials it back again and focuses. Otherwise I'll wait until it's finished and maybe skim to see how it ends.

Their texts were becoming too goddamn intense for it to not... ehm, culminate in something. Can't say I wasn't surprised that it happened in THIS chapter, but eventually I figured this would happen at some point.
In any case, I don't mind it 'dragging', if it means a bit more politics, journalism or museum stuff or interactions with other characters - those parts I enjoy. Solas and Ellana obsessively thinking about themselves I can skip. I hope she also won't drag them not meeting in person for too long, it was an interesting hook for quite a while, but now it's getting a bit old.
And no, my Lavellan would have a rush of feelings and questions but the worry and concern is still there and she'd want to make sure he was okay too. It's like a jumble of Why didn't you say goodbye/are you okay/what happened/I've missed you/...and maybe a hug...
In case of my Lavellan, I suppose it will depend on where she'd be in the story, when they actually meet. Will she find out something about him before? Will she be distraught from all that happened? In emotional as well as physical pain maybe?
Hard to tell. This is why I try not to think about it much at this point.
LOL I'm still surprised Cole says nothing about being an Assassin, but gets upset if you are a Necromancer or gets a bit too... attached if you are a Rift Mage.
I thought it was surprising that Dorian was the one to bring up Assassin spec, but it was an enjoyable conversation.
I decided before I made my char whom I wanted to romance and thought Solas was a good idea. But nearly stopped at the first romance scene where you have to kiss him. Just didn't fit my Quizzy (she was more the "take it or leave it, if you're not working for it, bad luck for you" type). But I REALLY wanted that achievement. And then he just tore my heart out (I always expected he'd go back with her like Fenris :'( ) and I ended up writing about 50 pages of fanfic to heal my heart. I tried romancing Cullen but he just lacks this special something. Haven't come to try anyone else before I fell for Solas again and ended up with another Lavellan
I wonder why Iron Bull is the only one who ever commented on my Tempest rogue. You'd think Sera might have something to say about it too.

Both as a human and elf I seemed to upset him with my choices. I had to reload a few times to see what didn't annoy him.

I do wonder if the answer that the outcome leaves one "utterly intrigued" has something to do with identifying himself to a romanced Lavellan. I just want her to know the truth even if it means they have to be apart.

I'm going to guess by that point in the story the Inquisitor is ready to openly believe just about anything. In fact, if they're told something mundane and simple they might not believe that because of everything that has gone on.
Solas: "What I have to tell you... the truth. I am... actually a heavy tea-drinker. I love the stuff. Can't ever get enough."
Inquisitor: *dies*
