Which brings me to the question: Who are you taking with you in your party? If we only get to meet with Solas once, we can't see everyone's reactions. Who's will be most important to you.

I haven't the foggiest. They would all be so interesting. I think I would take Dorian or Vivienne for their magical abilities, depending on how I spec Kani this time; Blackwall because of the huge argument between he and Solas. I would love for Blackwall to find out how much of a hypocrit Solas was; and maybe Cole. But Bull's and Cassandra's reactions would be marvellous, I think. The spy who was fooled, and the believer who is confronted with the reality of an opposing belief system.

 

My team for most of DAI was Solas, Cassandra, and Dorian, with me the dual-wield Assassin. I usually take a two mage party, so it just wound up pretty perfect that these were my favorite characters along with Cole. Sera I love now but she was internally polarizing when i played the first time.

 

Solas never left my party for the entire game, so he's a hard replacement. I may respec Dorian slightly (at max level I think he's got the spirit tree as well as lightning and necromancer, so maybe not.) but again it will be him, Cass, and this time, Cole. How could I not bring Cole?

Cole knew who Solas was the entire time, just as he knew the truth about Blackwall. That was verified at some point (on Twitter again?) awhile back.

Instead of playing Life is Strange, I find myself working on a Solavellan fic draft that I don't even like that much yet so will need some editing.

 

I've also been thinking about who she will be two years later. I should write the clan visit fic before Trespasser but no, instead I'm trying to write the one where my  Lavellan has a nightmare.

...I mean they have to get rid of the Inquisitor and his/her Power somehow or else they would be expected to save the world again in a dragon age 4....and That's not going to happen.
 
Also, Solas had some conversation in inquisition talking about people in power becoming corrupt and unable to give it up...I can't remember his exact quote. I think it was a conversation with Cassandra, ah the foreshadowing...

I see a lot of people saying this is absolutely the end of the Inquisitor's story coming up. Do we know that for sure? I didn't watch the twitch stream, and I've been out of the loop for a while but last I knew, nothing like that was confirmed. I imagine the end of the Inquisition is near; the conversation you mention is sort of mirrored in a conversation you can have with mother Giselle about the last inquisition dearming themselves. But, are we certain the character isn't going to be available as the protag in DA4?

Even if it isn't confirmed, I share your fears. I'm playing through my Trev story now, trying to get to the end before the new dlc lands, and all the while my mind is on my Lavellan. If she has to die, I'm afraid she'll take my enthusiasm for DA4 with her - especially if Solas has a central role in it. It just won't feel right.

That said, I'll endeavor to remain cautiously optimistic. Besides, my lavellan looks goofy without her vallaslin. That has to be worth something.

By some miracle, Tiger managed to become close friends with every member of her happy little flock. Even Sera! After Solas left, her post game comfort group was Cass, Cole and Dorian. It's a good thing she told him not to desist with the flirtiness after the talk with daddy. I figure it's become a warm comfort. I imagine Tiger visiting the empty rotunda and just about to go all sad-kitty face when Dorian calls down a teasing remark about her cleavage from his angle and makes her laugh. Anyway, these three are the ones I picture her being closest with now so they will probably be the ones I pick.

If Cass can go, that is. I wonder if the Divine characters will have the option? If not, she'll be taking Bull.

My trev will definitely take Blackwall. I dunno who else. Sera is currently part of her field team but I'm not sure I want to bring her. I feel like I need someone else to do it first and tell me where she ranks on the maturity scale with the whole thing. If all she does is make fart noises about everything, I think I'll pass.

Considering the Game Informer interview mentioned something about your Divine kind of suiting back up for one more fight and showed Cass and Viv in your party and Leliana in diplomatic representative mode, you'll have your Divine in some capacity. Though mine is the only one who isn't a party member so that's actually typical Leliana post-Origins.

Easiest way to get the inquisitor out of the picture would be removing the Anchor. Then they're just some random schmuck, likely having no army or allies by this point. They could retire to some kind of normal life, without everybody freaking out about the power they have.

Just because Cory couldn't extract it, doesn't mean a Mythal-powered entity couldn't. And extraction doesn't necessarily equal death. Cory wanted to kill the Inquisitor mostly out of spite - he still wouldn't be able to get the Anchor out of your corpse.

no.  i didn't "make him human" he chose with your recommendation.  i didn't use him for my own gain anymore than a spirit is being used.

I think killing the Inquisitor would be a smart move on Cory's part after he discovered he could not remove the anchor. He says that he "cannot suffer even an unknowing rival." The Inquisitor is a political threat--a rival. Thus, it would make sense to kill them . . . unless the inquisitor seduces him with her matching tights.
