I second that. I think Solas=Flemeth plot-wise from now on.
Which is ironic for me, since I used to think Flemeth was Fen'Harel before DA:I. But I agree, I think Morrigan and Solas will be sharing her role.

Ah, and that's what I get for posting a lighthearted joke instead of lurking like I always do.
Have fun with the DLC, everyone~ Hope you get what you want!
Oh, that's my bad. Text over internet fails. The "devs owe me this" has been reiterated seriously so many times on this forum and other places I missed the joke - meaning I couldn't read you were being jocular
.
Also you don't "earn" a relationship. The writers don't owe you anything really. They owe you a non-buggy game with a good story. That's what you should hope for.
If the day comes where the most we're allowed to hope for is a functioning game with a coherent plot from BioWare, then things will have really fallen down the toilet. I'll say again, that's the least we should expect from these guys at this point, everything else is extra delicious trimmings.
Sooo two years being locked out of another romance AND a malfunctioning hand... yeah, someone needs to get Solas ASAP

Sorry, I just.... I couldn't help myself!

Yeah.....this whole not completely satisfied hint is not settling well with my Lavellan.
I mean....all I'm saying....is that if all Solas does is turn around and YOLO his way out of Thedas through an eluvian...I demand the moment Lavellan turns around there is a hot anybody for her to get over this hot mess with. Seriously.
On another totally different note....I had an interesting theory thought. So, we are supposedly going to elven places right and I was wondering if any of them might be little pocket dimensions like the Crossroads. Then it dawned on me that someone had to build these theorized pocket dimensions. With magic. So most likely a pantheon member is my guess......and Solas seems like he would fit the bill pretty good. I mean, all that Fade and Veil knowledge must help in making pocket dimensions.
So, maybe that is actually what Fen'Harel has been up to since he locked the rest of the Pantheon away. He's like a care taker to pocket dimensions that house ancient elves and such. Because I guess they would require upkeep since it mentions somewhere that these kind of places deteriorate I think. ANd that fancy foci orb of his sure seemed capable of repairing holes in the fabric of space and time.
Just a random thought.

We had talked a while ago how he meets spirits of fitness in the fade and how spirits make for merciless gym buddies.
Ha, yes, I think it may have been me who initially wondered if there are spirits of fitness in the Fade. ![]()

That's a really cool thought.
I can't give any likes but here's a heart. ![]()
This is speculation- but the trailer seems to suggest that he might be the one who turns all the qunari into stone. If that's the case, he probably intervenes at some point to "protect" either the temple, or the Inquisitor.
Edit: And if it is I wish the trailer hadn't included the stone Qunari. Same as I wish descent's trailer hadn't included the end boss.
I had the same thought about that scene. The Descent's trailer did give so much away. But, I've watched the trailer a bunch of times so no looking back now.
@MayriyaNoori, turn around and it's Abelas. Hmm.. I still don't know if I could. Probably not
argh. I will never be free. Oh the irony.

Yeah, I can see why you might take that the wrong way. As much as I love Solas I am thinking about dropping his tag until Trespasser is out and things have calmed down a bit. There's like a band of ultra rabid fans just ripping into anyone who makes a joke about the romance, or doesn't take it super seriously. It's so weird to me. People play the game in all sorts of interesting and unique ways. Where one person might be super srz about it, another might've only seen the romance as something fun and temporary. It's upsetting to see all the people attacking the ones who would just like to have a bit of fun with their video game fandom. I guess it goes back to respecting other peoples' headcannons, something I know we've talked about here in the Solas thread a loooot haha. I'll probably keep hardcore stalking this thread though, since I don't really see any of those negative attacks here. (Plus I can get all my Solas art fix here thanks to Sunny and NightSymphony)

I think that could work. Abelas clearly needs a hug also.
Malfunctioning? More like extra functional.
Can you feel it on your skin... tingling?
That's a good point! Hmm.... But maybe what happens to the mark is that the magic starts randomly going away all of a sudden.
Poor girl. D: I'm sticking with what Mims mentioned earlier and will continue to hope for at least a promise to meet again one day, but if we don't get that then I'd like the choice to back out so Lavellan can find someone else, and not even to romance someone else in the Inquisition (that'd be a gunshot romance, wouldn't it!), just be able to move passed him if the option to go with him or wait for him isn't there.
I think at this point, my Lavellan should date a nice accountant. Someone who is caught up in exactly zero wacky stuff ![]()

I'm beginning to think zero drama relationship does not exist in Thedas.
The bright side I suppose is that Fen'Harel drama is pretty hard to top. So, I guess anyone else in Thedas will seem like zero wacky to Lavellan.

Our Levallan's have been LOCKED into this romance, alone, for two...sodding...years.
That should earn us the possibility of a future, right?
Maker help me but I have faith in Weekes and will until he proves me wrong.
Just a tiny hint of a possible future is all I want.
In fairness, Solas broke up with Lavellan. Reluctantly, yeah, but he called it off.
It's not like he abandoned Lavellan without warning.
It's been two years. I hope your quizzy has the option to say, well, I've moved on in that time dunno about you yeah, and play it super cool with her ancient-elven-god ex-boyfriend.

This is getting good! The whole Mark possibly not killing but evolving for the Inquisitor is fascinating! I was wondering if it would have any more tricks up its figurative sleeve before it ended!
As for Solas, this tragic love story has got to be the most realistic romance I've ever seen in a game! Not since Alistair dumping my Mage or leaving me for sparing Loghain, have I felt such realism in a relationship!
I dunno, besides the whole drug addict thing, Cullen romance is just about as fluffy as you can get. At least that ending is sure to make me happy. He probably proposes or she ends up with 14 kids or something.

They have not been on here then. You guys have chill here.
The funny thing is - I really did enjoy the romance and I love his character overall. Like he's fascinating and very sad -- the whole thing about the lost empire. *cries*. But I do want to make fun of it sometimes. It's something I love. And I'm looking forward to unpacking the "what's next". Here though. Not...*out there*. On the tumblr, I will continue to pandering to my hardcore fans of James Spader who follow me.

lol I couldn't win as a Mage. Sparing Loghain upset him, so I decided to reload and not spare him and still get dumped! I can't be with Alistair unless I'm a Cousland who kills a man I don't want to kill, or willing to be a mistress. Not happening! I won't change my morals for one man who won't/can't change for mine. Bugger still held a grudge by DAA and DA2. ![]()
And my Lavellan was SCARED of Cullen when they first met. Big gruff human in templar armor; never mind that he's basically a harmless puppy who gets picked on by his colleagues
Man, I thought I was ready for feels. Should've listened to Illidan!
I also always imagined my Lavellan being afraid of Cullen early on. Especially since he is an ex-Templar who was at Kirkwall. And she is technically an apostate mage from the Free Marches....
I'm sure that made for some interesting conversation between them at some point beyond the "Hey, would you kill me?" line a mage can ask Cullen.
