I hope we can kill Solas in this DLC.
I don't see that being likely since there was that article saying Solas' story won't wrap up in the DLC. We'll see more of him in the future, no doubt.

Surprisingly, it is the Inquisitor who seems the most in danger of being killed off.
*throws a tiny temper tantrum*
I'm expecting it to be like Hawke or the Warden. You CAN die, but you certainly don't have to. It then becomes a question of what price you have to pay.
As much as I'd love a sort of 'enemy' ending with Solas, seems like Solas actually has the most plot armor of any character involved in the DLC. We already know he's needed for the next game.

Yeah. as much as I like the juicy drama and sads, it seems that he will live because his story is just too complicated to end right now.
Arrrr, it's been forever since I posted agaaaaaaaaain!
So, what have I missed? Crazy theories? Reaction to Trespasser trailer? "Etc."? (I will at least skim through it all at some point, but I have a proposal to write and stuff but I really could do with a distraction.)

Yeah, I doubt they'll kill off the PC without at least any choice involved. I've been thinking more about it, and if there's any chance for the romance with Solas to continue, even if it's ambiguous, I'll probably have Lavellan live. I don't want either of them to be alone. If there's no chance for the romance, a tragic death would make it more dramatic, and at least she'll never have to suffer without him. Maybe Thedas has an afterlife and one day his spirit will reunite with hers.
And now the feels are coming back ![]()

I hope Solas can kill us in this DLC.
Isn't there any place to buy damn dawn lotus??? Ugh.
Does the Black Emporium not sell it? Maybe the vendor in the first camp for Descent? I'm not sure, I didn't look specifically for dawn lotus, sorry =\
I'm a mess of feels. Excited, yes, but terrified and apprehensive. I've gotten very attached to my Lavellan, more so than my other DAI PC--or my DA PCs in general. Probably because the unresolved nature of the Solas romance made me think and write a lot more about her. I just want her to come out of this whole mess in one piece
I love Solas and I love my Inquisitor. I would rather they be alone than dead. I will be in for a rough time if either of them die.
*thinks on it some more*
Yeah nope can't do them dying just because they can't be together. Too much Romeo and Juliet for my tastes.

(Sorry, I obviously spend too much time on Tumblr, but 9 DAYS THIS IS KILLING ME OKAY?)
WHAT?! Nine days?!
*checks*
But--I'm not ready! I just not got to Skyhold in my "perfect Solavellan playthrough," and my schedule is hectic since a new semester just started and I need to find a better job since this month is the last month my parents will help me with rent.
That means I'll either have to rush through the game (plus Descent and Jaws of Hakkon), or stay offline to avoid spoilers until I can play it; but I don't really want to do that since I'll miss the fun. ![]()
I really liked being part of things when BioWare announced Tresspasser in PAX this weekend; I liked seeing the live stream and talking with everyone and being part of the hype train here in the Solas forum. I'm always the last one to know things (or play games or DLC long after the hype has died down), so for once I would have liked to play Tresspasser the same time as everyone else (the second it came out) and then talk with everyone about it as we learned about it. ![]()
I hope we can kill Solas in this DLC.
Oh God. Laughing... so... hard... pain....
Ugh, replaying the first few hours of the game is soo~ tiresome. Why erased saves, why!?
Thankfully, I have almost all companions now. Then I can finally enjoy the game again.
I have definitely seen enough of the Hinterlands for a couple of days.
Anyway, Solas be creepin'. (I swear, he does this ALL the time in my game. Seriously. And my Lenalas Lavellan doesn't even notice it. At all.)

Given how fluid and mixable spirit-souls seem to be for entities like Mythal and Solas, how would your Lavellan react to a potential 'synthesis' ending, merging w/ SolaFen's OGS?
1) Together forever? Sign me up.
2) That's... kinda creepy. But my Lavellan might, if the anchor was going to kill her otherwise.
3) Aw HELL no.
That's a good point! Hmm.... But maybe what happens to the mark is that the magic starts randomly going away all of a sudden.
Spoiler
I am so attached to my Lavellan because I've spent so much time with her. I can't get other characters past the hinterlands lol
I know what you mean. That's why I'm sick of the Hinterlands. xD Almost all of my characters (besides two Lavellan's) got stuck there for eternity.
Then the huge save-wipe came because of the stupid cloud sync stuff, and a lot of my progress with those two Lavellan's was gone.
So here I go again. Hating the Hinterlands with a burning passion all the way. ![]()
God, this DLC. I can't decide if I want to cry, laugh maniacally, or hyperventilate.

He might get a 2) out of me, but only if he says pretty please and/or sings Gilbert and Sullivan.

I'm somewhere between 2 or 3. I find it really creepy. I want them to be together, but this is not my idea of together. I'm turning philosophical here, but how can you truly be with someone if you lose yourself in the process?
EDIT: Weee, top Solas again! Here's more dorky Solas for your hearts.

I kind of take your stance on it as well. But who knows -- it might be okay. I'm thinking Steven Universe type stuff here.
Because I can't see any way they can end up together. Not really. I'm trying to work myself into acceptance.
Thinking on it myself, a small, quiet part of me thinks if they did let us get back with Solas it would cheapen the experience of the breakup scene and the whole tragedy. I don't know if it would have the same impact in future playthroughs. I seriously want them to get back together but I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen.
I'm still optimistic we'll get something lovely from the DLC though!
What if they'd allow them to be together? ....But only around DA5? ![]()
I can deal well enough with them not getting back together, since it's unlikely that can happen with how the story will go. I just don't want Solas to be completely cold and aloof with Lavellan. We should get SOME kind of nice goodbye if that is what it's meant to be, and not just a two line reference to the romance mixed in with an infodump before he leaves for good. I doubt he'll die, so I'm not worried about that. Possibly having merged with FleMythal and having changed from the person we knew is a bit of a concern though. Mostly I just want to know who he is, what he's doing, and how that relates to all the **** we had to deal with.
Or, you know, we might learn he really is a nutbag jerk who is laughing merrily at everything crumbling around him. Then I'll just want to knee him in the nuts and tell him his fashion choices are just as bad as they ever were.
...Editing to add that "nice goodbye" can mean lots of smooching, a hug, or at least a wistful smile, or Lavellan staring him down and suggesting he GTFO before she breaks his face. Whichever option would make it nice for a particular Lavellan.
