They said we'll be intrigued. Intrigued!
Exactly!

So, out of curiosity I looked up the exact definiton of this word they have chosen. Intrigued.

Hope people. There's hope.
I want to hope!
But I am deep in stressful anticipation and fear the worst. I want them to be together even though I know (1) that's lame, (2) that's impossible, and (3) it's better for Lavellan to move on.
BUT I CAN'T HELP IT.

Okay....so now I have been spiraling around through dictionry.com.......and now I am curious as to why the relationship needs to be secret and why it would be considered illicit.
In regards to this, someone made an excellent point on one of the other threads. This is an optional add on - one that many people are cut off of because the poor sods have the base game on xbox 360 or ps3. Would they really kill off your hero just because you bought the add on? I don't doubt there's a big decision. Maybe even the sacrificial one because Bioware, but I have a tiny sliver of hope that our inquisitors aren't absolutely doomed to die just because we gave them 15 bucks. :3
I dunno about that - even if they didn't provide the DLC for any platform, or provided it for all, they can still kill off Inquisitor, Hawke (like definitely), and Warden, and in fact everyone else off-screen if plot demanded it. I mean, I know that they considered the idea of killing many past NPCs from previous games in the Conclave explosion, so there's nothing stopping them from exploding some other meeting again!
I doubt they'd do it, but the possibility is there - and it's a very high possibility when it comes to Inky, considering that we know from the upcoming DLC already that there are forces that try to eliminate Inquisitor and that Anchor is acting up. And as additional this add-on is, just like Descent and Joh it's pretty much part of the (fluid) canon.
Then there's also the Dragon Age Keep - every major decision in every major DLC in past DA installments has been recorded there. I highly doubt some Trespasser decisions wouldn't be recorded and not used to set up world-states for DA4 as well, that might in the end decide the fate of either Quizzy, Solas or relationship with Lavellan, or whatever else the 'deciding of Inquisition's legacy' may mean for the future.
I mean, the story for PS3 and Xbox360 players is done anyway. They won't be able to continue playing any future DA games on old-gen. The Keep is the only thing that links the story across all platforms, if anyone chooses to change one along the way.
disapproved of or not permitted for moral or ethical reasons.
>_>WTF KIND OF SHITE IS THIS MAN UP TO?!?!???!?!!?
I am 1000% certain that clan Lavellan's keeper would disapprove, especially if the Inquisitor is First.
"WHAT PART OF PROTECTING THE CLAN FROM THE DREAD WOLF DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? YOU ARE DOING THE ACTUAL OPPOSITE OF THAT!"
"Uhhhhhh... I keep him occupied so he can't interfere with the clan?"
"YOU ARE LITERALLY THE WORST FIRST EVER. HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO FAIL THIS HARD AT FIRSTING?"
<although the Keeper has probably reached the age where all of that is conveyed by subtle glances and tut-tutting>

Ok guys serious question. Anybody getting ideas that Solas maybe trying to get together his elvhen buddies and raise a new mini-arlathan?? I mean the new armor is kinda suspicious.
Also I just finished reading The Masked Empire last night and it hints heavily at a resurfacing of Elvhenan through some sort of elven rebellion.
There's also a point during the talk you have with Solas after Haven in the middle of nowhere where he says "Unknowing or not he (Cory) risks our alliance. I cannot allow it." (might not be exact) in reference to the elves and their "alliance" (apparently) with the humans. It's almost as if he got angry for a second a let slip his intentions to raise up The People once again, but with human allies sort of like with Andraste and Shartan.
I'm thinking Solas wants to go all Shartan and "raise up his people" and that we're going to see a lot that hints to this in Trespasser.

True......but in my worldstate clan Lavellan is dead......so.......
Keeper be haunting my quizzy from the grave. That's not right. =/

Might want to be careful with reading too much into a definition. We can look for the one we want it to be, but it's likely to be different than the one they used it for. The first meaning of the word is probably most valid.

The title, "Trespasser", also seems to point toward something awakening. Laidlaw keeps hammering on the point that we're going places we maybe shouldn't be. And we already know that Solas locked someone behind mirrors, possibly the gods, possibly something else. The scariest part is, he's probably not the only person that's done that. There could be way worse things secured behind dead mirrors.
Every time we trespass into a previously-closed eluvian, we could be unsealing an ancient prisoner. Something never meant to see the sun. Likely that's exactly what Imshael intended when he offered the gem. Unlocking everything.

Then Quizzy, Solas, and Hawke can duke it out for "Worst Hero Ever."

So maybe we get to romance Falon'Din in DA4 and he turns out to be a great guy. Loves dogs, cooking, and microbrews. Never lies about his identity. Would join in a three-way with Zevran. Says he is over his dark and bloody past. Keeps it all simple and drama-free. Then after the credits he sacrifices the PC in a blood ritual.
Edit: AGAIN? I've clearly been posting too much today. Here's some not-so-dorky Solas. Source.

So has anyone thought about how a romanced Lavellan gets Solas' romance card at the end but everyone else gets Big Bad Wolf? Do you think that'll have any bearing on how he acts/is portrayed/ultimate choices/etc. heartbreak things in the DLC?
I'm hoping it does have some impact, even in the smallest way ![]()
I'm doing my best to help others harden their heart to a cutting edge. It's what will get us through next week.
Yeah, I'm adopting a "hope for the best, brace for the very worst" attitude. We'll see how long it lasts when I hear Gareth David-Lloyd's voice again ![]()
I'm so worried about my poor quizzy. Of all of my PCs, she definitely deserves a happy ending (or even a half-way decent ending) the most. And the Trespasser trailer looks...ominous.

Haha well played. I have a soft spot for Dirthamen, personally
.
Tell me a story about how that'll go..

Potentially - I think there is and isn't meaning with those cards. I think they merely reflect an important moment or aspect of the character as it stands at that moment. I think it was also a pretty way for the marketing department to promote the game. David Gaider has said that he LOVES the persona cards and wanted to do something like that and if you've played persona...those cards are representative only of your BASEST self. and the whole thing was that you were still master of it and your future.
I think though - they want to avoid giving something special to the romanced lavellan's only. there are people that actually like him as friends only and would like to keep him around too
(like my trevelyan...they was buddies).
