Oh, you sweet summer child. You should have seen the fanfic I wrote of Solas. After writing that smutty thing, I felt like I needed to be doused with holy water.
Haha! Yeah, been there done that. I've read/written so much dirty stuff back in the day. Apparently, for being a 14 year old virgin, I was pretty good. After awhile though, I got bored with it...I'm much more interested in a little mystery, nowadays....or maybe I'm just that old? ![]()
Not that I still wouldn't read your stuff, though. After all, us writers have to stick together! Seriously, slip the thing my way would you?
[raises eyebrow] This thread has come close to needing the hose turned on it several times before... and that's just from pictures...
So, fanfic so smutty it calls for holy water...?
...Hang on. For this, I'll need popcorn!
[makes self comfortable and lurks]

It's like being doused with a bucket of unadulterated smut.
*Has read it*
Just in case anyone hasn't seen it in the Twitter thread, the official website was updated recently, and you can get a (very) brief description of why your inquisitor is at the Chantry conclave at the beginning of the game (dependent on race and class), plus new pictures!

Loving that the elf inquisitor is a Dalish spy, haha!
Also, is it just me or do his feet look enormous? I can't tell if there's a rock in front of part of it or not. And you know what they say about that.

WHOAaAaAa say what now?!?
First of all, this is cool to play with! Second of all...
I'M A SPY???
suddenly things just got a lot more interesting... huh...
on a less shocking note: i'm loving the description of "and you had little need to interact with humans" because now i'm imaging her looking at Solas like "...HUMANS...??? WHAT DO???" and him just shrugging at her like "Iunno, mang."
two wilderness bums that don't know how to deal with society? yes. i can ship it.

Oh, that is perfect. Yes. I am pleased.
Every companion has a unique body model, right? Solas looks very lithe compared to the elf mage (male)! I love it!:
For comparison:

Of course the armor probably adds a lot, but eee
That arm is almost scarily twiggy compared to the thigh. I fear what a female elf's arm would look like. Maybe it's just the helmet and big glove that make it look so skinny though.
Edit: Here's female:
I'm starting to really hate that helmet, haha.
Also noticed the inquisitor up above does the same hand sign as Solas.

Oh GOD it does look twiggy...she looks like she could easily snap a bone by waving that magic staff. ![]()
Just one game without noodle arms is all I'd ever ask for. (excluding Solas stuff, of course)

Well at least Solas's arms seem to have more meat on them than this elf's. ![]()
Yeah... I hope the arms don't look like that in the final game. And I say that as someone with twiggy arms which have made my college advisor ask me if I was eating well - still not that twiggy.
Urk I'm really digging the human Inquisitor's background but my canon Warden and Hawke are already humans. So I've already played a human noble storyline. This is going to be a harder choice than I thought!
It also has to do with who I think Solas would work/look best with and have the most interesting chemistry with. A Dalish mage is cute but I think they're a little too similar? I like odd couples. I could still roll a Qunari like I planned but what if he's not into Qunari? Urgh choices stahp. I'm rambling, sorry.

I think the elfquisitor's armor is just bulky, he doesn't look bigger than Solas to me.
The Dalish Inquisitor being a spy was so unexpected, but verrrry interesting. It sounds like the Keeper knew something... ![]()
Ah, all of the backgrounds sound really cool...! I'm not into playing humans (I play one in real life??) but that background sounds like something I'd definitely want to dig into... Human mage is ex-Circle? Sign me up! Being a direct survivor of this whole mess is something I can really care about. But even a rogue (what I play those few times I'm not being a mage) could be fun... I really like the idea of being anti-Chantry in a pro-Chantry family... Hm, fun times to be had there... And of course being a qunari because it's new... and the surfacer dwarf being a carta lyrium smuggler is so much more fun than the honest merchant I was expecting, heh...
And now I find myself really wishing we knew those last two LIs. I was so totally being indifferent but now with this THE URGE TO PLAN IS OVERWHELMING but like... can't.. what if... ughHhHh. ![]()
I plan to do human fem mage inquisitor with solas if he's an li though that's gonna be my first inquisitor regardless. Not only do I love playing as humans and LOVE the origin, but I find the human/elf thing really hot tbh...
You and me both. I like cross-race pairings of all kinds. ![]()

I am very much looking forward to this part of playing a human mage (also how it might affect dynamics with Cole and maybe some conflict with Solas over having visceral anti-Templar and anti-Chantry feelings).
I thought I wanted to be a Qunari mage...but the idea of being the apprentice of the keeper is tempting...but being a noble from a chantry loving family sounds interesting...but..but Cadash........le Carta?!
Dammit, this game is going to be amazeballs!

I know, the choice is so hard!
Now that I know the backgrounds, I'm leaning more towards a female human mage than before. But I feel slightly guilty that all three heroes of Thedas would be humans. ![]()
What did you guys play in the other two games and what do you think will be your first playthrough this time?
