I am floating around in the feels again, but have to complete some work writing tonight. Yet what's really on my mind is the next week. Luckily, I have two more episodes of Life is Strange to complete. Not that that game has saved me from the feels. Not even close.

This. I've already kind of begun turning the headcanon wheels on who she might be two years later, how she has coped, but I will wait until after playing to actually channel whatever feels and outcomes into something.
I'm replaying Jaws and Descent post-game so it actually feels like she was doing something productive in those two years. Can't spend all that time making her party members platform for shards, after all 
I wonder what happens in Trespasser to get the Inquisition to the point where it could end. My Lavellan hated being the Herald, but she eventually grew into her own as Inquisitor and got quite good at it. Hopefully they don't just pull an ME2 and decide that the powers that be suddenly have their heads up their own arseholes.

I played both pre-end and took Solas but I may headcanon The Descent as being post-game since companion interactions aren't really that important in it. JoH had the parallels and the feels and the spirit stuff so having Solas there was actually relevant.
Mine always denied the whole Herald business and pledged herself as believing in elven gods and all. But she came into her own and achieved more than she thought herself capable. Even though she was already mature, successful, and accomplished in terms of being a reliable and strong clan protector and hunter, some aspects of her clan life made her feel a bit like a disappointment and sometimes frustrated with their stubbornness (those Dalish and the insistence upon making babies for a bi woman whose longest relationship was five years with another woman, to start). Once she was with the Inquisition, and then leading it, her life opened up and eventually, she accepted this was her life now, but it also came with both more and less freedom.
Anyhow, headcanoning Dorian and Cole have been reliable friends and helped her cope and patch over her broken heart, Even though her bare face is still a reminder, she is used to it now.

Spirit!Cole and Dorian were the most important friends for my Lavellan after Solas left, but I gradually realized that Viv would've been helpful too. I know not everyone likes her, but she and my Lavellan got along quite well. While she would NEVER go to Viv for emotional advice or comfort, Viv would've been very useful for one crucial thing: learning how to put on a mask to hide her pain. The Orlesians are asses, especially to Lavellan; you can't tell me they wouldn't exploit any weakness they could find

He is trying to convince me that Solas is an anime ninja. I told him what he really was and he claimed I was wrong! Now he thinks Solas is the president of the USA.

She and my Lavellan were just never going to see eye to eye and weren't friends. Mine, I think, got kind of similar lessons, but from Leliana, who she was once scared of and eventually became close with. I've written about my Lavellan kind of questioning the work she was chosen for, set to training as children and all, because she's far from a stoic person, and in fact wears her feelings most of the time.
I am basically a walking ball of feelings (HSP) but it wasn't a self-insert. I wanted to explore that in my PC for the first time, explore in context of this reluctant leader, both the pros and cons. The added pain at the end of the game was a bonus to this exploration.
I've returned to the forums after all this time only to say that I'm omglifeanddeathneedrightnow worried/exited (50/50) about the DLC. Or at least the part of it involving Solas. Seems like it'll be bittersweet at best, so I best prepare myself... but still. SOLAS. Like, OMG. I've been waiting for so long XD
Sorry for barging in and being off-topic, I'm just... emotionally overcharged, lol. So I needed to get it off my chest. Funny, how those sneaky video game characters make us care so much.

Ok fun DLC prediction before bed: Trespasser will end with a show stopping prog metal rendition of the jazz duet "Me and My Shadow" performed by Solas and his Dread Wolf alter ego (or alternatively Cole). There will also be glitter.

Hey guys, I've been debating romancing Solas in my second playthrough. I'm basically torn between him and Josephine in this particular PC's case. So far I've flirted with both of them, but do you guys know where the specific point where I'd have to make a decision before one locks the other out is? I've heard it's when you arrive at Skyhold.

So far I've flirted with both of them, but do you guys know where the specific point where I'd have to make a decision before one locks the other out is? I've heard it's when you arrive at Skyhold.
Ok so I looked it up and apparently you're locked out of a Solasmance right when you begin a romance with anyone else. There will be two options for the other romances, and if you hover on both, one will have a sidenote above it saying something like "begin romance with *****" and the other will say something referring to not beginning a romance. Picking the option to start a romance locks you out of Solas' romance. As for being locked in, you can't dump him after the balcony kissy scene. You guys are forever locked into the romance, no matter what *stuff* (trying not to spoil anything) happens later. The romance technically never ends.
For Josephine I couldn't really find anything, but apparently an important thing you have to do is flirt with Josephine, then talk to Leliana, state your intentions towards Josephine to her (kinda like asking the dad for permission) and then the rest of the flirt dialogue options are unlocked to proceed with the romance.
Now, honestly, because I love Solas' character and story deeply, I'm gonna have to suggest going with his romance. It will undoubtedly be very interesting to continue with into the Trespasser DLC and, because of the amount of emotion and depth fit into the romance, you WILL care about what happens with Solas, who will most likely be a big player in future games.
