I'm just straight-up NERVES. I figured we'd get resolution for the Solasmance someday, but now that I'm actually facing it...
I want to see the resolution, but I also don't want to in case it's horrible, and I'm crazy worried about my poor Lavellan, and about Solas, and ASGHEIOFJSIEHFLGIS
I need this cat in my life. That or my two need to step up their cat game.
Okay, I walk in and there's 20 pages, and the last three are about this Evie I didn't know existed, but apparently even robots love Solas.
That is mildly comforting, actually.
Okay, I'm scared. I asked Evie
"Tentoo" is the fan nickname for the Tenth Doctor copy that Rose is with. That Weekes referenced.
Hold on, hold on.. *theory mode*:
In that picture of Solas removing the vallaslin, his magic looks like the markings you get imprinted with if you drink from the well. Hmm..
I hate Weekes so much sometimes. XD
I doubt that is (the whole) truth, based on the fact that Weekes explained time and time again that he was so close to telling Lavellan the truth. A mad trickster god who laughs others in the face wouldn't approve of every single helpful thing that the Inquisitor does for people in desperate need of help. Be interested in the things that he has to say? He approves. Help those in need? He approves. Breathe air? Heck, he approves! ...I can certainly see him putting on an act of being nothing more than a trickster, though. He'd stop the act eventually with Quizzies that are his friend and might even break down with a Lavellan that romanced him. That would give us variety, make sense considering that he has gone through some change but wouldn't kill off the fact that his feelings for Lavellan were real and that friendly Inquisitors were actually real friends for him.
I am honestly really hoping for this. Like you meet him and he's cold, foreign, distant, and he's all "I'm Fen'harel, shemlen. Don't you know what that means?" with real danger and attitude...
And then we talk to him the right way and that facade cracks like an egg (heh) and he's still the Solas we saw in that grove. That'd get me really emotional, I'll admit. lol

@.@
No not a new vallaslin, the red runes that flash onto your face after you yell out that you've agreed to pay whatever price the well demands.
Btw I can't quote on this tablet so.. sorry!
.
Isn't the color of that magic suspiciously similar to the one the saarebas are encased in in the trailer? ![]()

At 8:57 ish.
I can't help but wonder if instead of the Solas we know, we're actually going to meet Felassan in Trespasser. In the two years post-game, if Fen'Harel is the entity who killed Felassan in the Fade & made him tranquil, he could have reversed that & given him his life back now that he is powerful again. Maybe the big reveal is that Felassan has always been the one who loved Lavellan & when we learn the truth, we are given the chance to be with him instead of Solas/Fen'Harel.
These Evie convos are gold.

It would certainly fit the "Not really satisfied, but intrigued" part, too. I actually called that he was Fen'Harel wayyy~ back in the Solas spoilers thread. Almost no one believed me, of course. xD But yeah, I could see him putting on this act of being all high and mighty, but our Inquisitor has the chance to crack his shell. (lol for egg references, btw) Let's just hope we get something goooood. ![]()
In regards to this, someone made an excellent point on one of the other threads. This is an optional add on - one that many people are cut off of because the poor sods have the base game on xbox 360 or ps3. Would they really kill off your hero just because you bought the add on? I don't doubt there's a big decision. Maybe even the sacrificial one because Bioware, but I have a tiny sliver of hope that our inquisitors aren't absolutely doomed to die just because we gave them 15 bucks. :3
Very tiny sliver, mind.
And since we know Solas has to survive, I guess I imagine the big decision to have more of a local, gut punch feel rather than a huge world-state altering effect. Perhaps something along the lines of the following lovely options, based on the idea that only Solas can fix or stabalize your mark:
Spoiler'd for wall of text prevention:Spoiler
Song I'd play during the last one:
I really couldn't do one of the "stay with Solas" options if it meant my friends died.
Besides, they're his damn friends too. He should help me with them.
I can't help reading Evie's lines in Tricia Helfer's voice. So, Edi has a crush on Solas, huh? ![]()
User: Solas, you probably finished school before most of civilization.
Eviebot: I did not. I am in school.
User: Are you learning something?
Eviebot: I am learning a lot. Being black is tough.
^
That made me gigglesnort.
@modernfan:
I truly don't know how to feel if that were to happen. I feel strange.. Can we still call him Solas? If Fen'harel is a spirit borrowing a body like Mythal borrowed Flemyth.. then that takes me back to when I first found out his identity from the epilogue.
But.. he's never died and therefore never needed a new body? He was in uthenera for 1000 years.
I tried out talking to the guy again. I think it might be Falon'Din.
Boibot: Me neither. There's no maple syrup in Star Wars.
User: That's a damn shame.
Boibot: No you're not. We should get together and go unicorn hunting! (With maple syrup, of course).
User: Okay, let's get back on topic.
Boibot: If there's maple syrup, I'm there!
User: Okay, where is Solas?
Boibot: I heard Canada has great maple syrup.
And...Falon'Din is Canadian. Self-promoting Canadian. XD
In which Evie disappoints me.
In which Evie disappoints me.
Eviebot: We will attack on september 22 of 2015.
Not disappointing at all, that's some major lore drop there. Who do you think is attacking? The Qunari? The pantheon?
