@MayriyaNoori: Yes! Exactly & vice versa. And if this is what happens, Lavellans will have to examine their own hearts to know who they truly fell in love with - the god or the man? Ooooooh, this is going to be interesting.
So maybe you get a choice: Become immortal, but you can't be with Solas. Or die some time in the near future, because the mark is killing you, but you can spend the time you have left together with Solas, truly together, no holding back.

I'd like that a lot. Getting a chance to meet the Creators of legend, work behind the scenes to do something good for Thedas with your elven God powers, maybe even pantheon sex parties! And there's always the chance she can reunite with Solas in the future.
I like how saving the world and pantheon sex parties are at the top of your Quizzy's wishlist.
Priorities.

Anyway, there's still a question of how come the Sareebas seem to be able to wield the specific type of magic and what does that mean - however, considering that they also use elvhen eluvian network somehow, I suspect that either they learned something after they explored elvhen ruins locked behind mirrors, OR this type of magic is what allows them to pass through them in the first place.

Not sure about immortal, but he/she already is wielding power that baffles even Solas. Either way they're involved in a change, and not just change in mundane Thedosian politics or power structure. Even Mythal tells to (non-elf) Quizzy - "a Herald indeed. Shouting to the Heavens. Harbinger of the New Age."
And with both Morrigan and Quizzy, who knows? We may see the formation of either new pantehon to take care of the world - OR the destruction of old order and coming of new one. Like in a cycle that perhaps got disrupted before. Sadly it may mean a lot of destruction, and maybe even the sad inevitability of old pantheon having to sacrifice themselves or something ;(
Though I'd find it interesting if it turned out that Solas was there when many other pantheons were forming, maybe even helped some rise to power and is now perhaps in the middle of aiding new one - though I assume he assumes that it will cost him either his life or loss of something he values the most.
Well, an interesting thing to note about the Anchor is that it is always described as a key. Even Dagna says looking at it she sees a key.
I'm wondering if the Inquisitor themselves is becoming a key/catalyst type of thing for some sort of mega change about to occur. Maybe even a fully evolved anchor causes the Inquisitor to be able to something wild.
Such as collapse the Veil. That would be pretty wild.
Herald of a new age indeed.

LOL. Independent of Solas, I think immortal/ascended Lavellan has plenty of room for feels. At the very least, you have to watch your friends, your BEST friends in the entire world, age and die. You'll probably have to disappear before people start asking awkward questions about why you haven't aged a day over twenty years. In some sense, apotheosis would put quizzy in a similar spot as Solas; you'd be fundamentally different from most in Thedas, standing apart from them. Without Solas or Cole or someone else there, it would be a very lonely existence indeed.

^ if Solas is cruel to lavellan in the dlc you can chalk it up to french solas and blame him
I dont know why being raised in france is such a big deal or why it warranted the secrecy and big reveal.
Solas being the sweet talker that he is, he could be French. But his disastrous taste in Fashion makes me think he definitely is NOT. We wouldn't let someone in such a desperate need of a make-over, we're not such CRUEL people. We have a fashion reputation to maintain, goddamn!
And then poor Delphine flips a table.
And then Delphine flips a table, fist up in the air, and yells "MURICAAAAAAAANS!". There, fixed it for you!
But it's ok, I'm used to the "antagonist being French/speaking French" trope ;D

Agree, and it would be great if immortality is offered as a choice, and there is some mild warning about just how difficult that can be. Then everyone can decide if their character would be the type to take the deal.
My Lavellan would.

I'm not so sure about the immortality angle for the Inquisitor. How would that even begin to figure in to future games? They become god-like and disappear is a great way to get them out of the picture, but then what do they do? Romanced Lavellan can have all the wild hunts and happy sexxin time with Solas, I suppose, but not everyone would want to do that. Some Inquisitors don't even like him. And then the world gets turned upside down again for DA4, where is GodQuisitor? Just seems like it'd be too much to try and work around. Especially when we already have Solas and possibly Morrigan for all-powerful beings in the future of the series.
Not saying it wouldn't be interesting. Or awesome. Because hell yeah.

Hmmm.... I can't stop thinking that there's something suspicious about the same color being used both for vallaslin removal magic, Old God soul, the color of Sarebaas magic AND the color of Anchor... um, evolving/killing Inquisitor.
The saarebas magic in DA2 was bright white, if I recall correctly.
Though...crackpot theory time. Remember the Executors war table mission, and how your advisors rule out the qunari very quickly? They could be both right and wrong. What if the Executors are the original slaves of the elven pantheon, and stayed loyal to them while the rest of their kin eventually became the qunari? Trailers lie all the time; your enemies could look like qunari, but not actually follow the Qun.

My Lavellan would.
It would depend on a lot of things for my Lavellan. The first and most important consideration would be whether immortality serves a greater purpose. The second would be how much it forces her to give up her identity; she let Morrigan take the Well because she didn't want to lose herself to it. And somewhere in the huge list of concerns is Solas too ![]()

I dunno. Maybe it's because of D&D, but I don't mind the trope of very powerful characters seeming to disappear. When you start doing Epic adventures in D&D, you stop functioning on the same level as normal adventurers. You're politicking with gods and sculpting astral prisons and reshaping reality. The impact of what you do is immense, but it's also not obvious, and could take centuries to shake out. I think it's fair to say that superpowered characters like that in Dragon Age are doing things, but whatever they're up to might not be immediately relevant or apparent to your average Thedosian.

Another mini art break.
Cadash reunites with Solas. (Solas and Cadash friendship. Very touching.)
Elf. Mage. Teacher. Advisor. Friend.
Spoiler
I like that one. I hope that if we don't have to deal with IDoneGoneEvil!Solas then we have an option to express concern over where he's been and how he's doing. Kind of like how if your kid does something that makes you think they got badly hurt, or could have died you give them a hug and tell them you love them before you take away their cellphone and ground them forever.

Well, it all might have to be done in stages - like, you know, specific 'pawns' have to move things in specific places for it all to 'click'. Inquisitor has done his/her part in Thedas (UNLESS they've made all the bad decisions and it may be that they may become a... baddie? sometime far in the future. That would be cool.) and now they'd be delegated to working in the background, or waiting for new chance to act again when new protagonist enables them to (together with Morrigan, Solas or whoever else there is) - or maybe make them fall, if all the decisions of PCs in future installments are all bad?
It would make for a nice story where everything has to tie together, like in a large tapestry AND be the complex story of the world itself, instead of just one protagonist.

Sounds an awful lot like Sandal's prophecy:
One day the magic will come back - all of it. Everyone will be just like they were. The shadows will part and the skies will open wide. When he rises, everyone will see.
We've assumed for a while that it was talking about Solas or Sandal or even Corypheus. But all it says is "he," and the person mentioned in the last sentence might not necessarily be the cause of the magic coming back. What if the first few sentences of that prophecy are talking about quizzy instead? Dun DUN DUUUUUUUUN

He does adore a heavy blend of power, intrigue, danger and sex that permeates certain events. He also considers the current age to be cynical.
