Does anyone have a resource that would have HQ screenshots for the entire trailer?
ENTIRE trailer o_O? I have the highest quality trailer I can get downloaded and I can take separate frames in my Premier Pro if you need them.

Some HQ shots of Solas would be nice. I could add them to my circulation of desktop backgrounds.
Sort of off topic, but on the topic of Qunari- I was wandering around the Fallow Mire yesterday and came across a codex, a letter, I think, about the "horned men" that were there. Were they talking about the Avvar? Why would the Qunari be in the Fallow Mire?
I'm searching everywhere for the stupid codex. Maybe I'm imagining things.
Wherever a living HoF is duirng the whole mess with the mage-templar war, Cory, and the Breach.
Well. Yes. But someone who's become a god is a bit different from a random schlub who became a Warden due to Circumstances. ![]()
I don't even necessarily mean that why aren't they coming in to save the world in DA4, but Solas and Flemeth had their own things to do, from a time before, so that's what they are doing. You'd be a newcomer, and possibly an unliked one. What's your arc in the world that doesn't interfere with everything else that's going on? That's what I mean.

Sigh.
And possibly two years later? ![]()
Agree, and it would be great if immortality is offered as a choice, and there is some mild warning about just how difficult that can be. Then everyone can decide if their character would be the type to take the deal.
My Lavellan would.
It's a difficult question for mine since leading the Inquisition helped settle some of her internal conflict and she emerged more confident overall afterward. It would depend whether she still felt she had (no pun intended), but things anchoring her to the world. Mine still has a family and clan, but after deciding to have her vallaslin removed, that led to tension and some uncertainty/mistrust. Especially since she had to figure out how to explain that somehow, and alone. But her family would be fine, she would be left to history, and she has a younger brother and sister as well as parents. And her friends.
So in a way she has come into her own but at the same time it seems everything is going wrong. It would depend on a lot of things.

Well, maybe the arc of Inquisitor is to be an unforeseen new player entering the playground? Hence Trespasser. Solas does say that existence of Inquisitor (any Inquisitor with high enough approval) 'changes everything' - whatever it means....

I can't watch the trailer, because work- but I'm thinking if I looked at some screenshots, maybe I could see something I've missed.

Well, Inky starts off as a random schlub as well. ![]()
I imagine there's hierarchy and seniority in the realm of the gods. You might not be qualified to take on the serious Godhood world-shattering projects at first. Solas and Flemeth, and perhaps others, are already working on that and wouldn't want you getting in the way. You can go work on small starter projects, like go around and repair remaining fade rifts, and look for ways to strengthen the veil, since that's you expertise by now anyway.
So my co-worker/friend and I spend entirely too much time coming up with silly song parodies. We joined forces for a "One Day More" spoof right before the game released. Our latest masterpiece (ha) is a final tribute to our favorite apostate hobo.Anyway so I'm delurking to embarrass myself. Empty Chairs at Empty Tables c/o Les Mis.Spoiler
This should be tweeted to Weekes with the suggestion it get put into the DAI musical that I'm sure he'd love to be working on about now.

What if they tell Quizzy "You have to do this and we'll let you hang with us."?
Like they did to Ghilan'nain.

It so should. ![]()

For all of two minutes before they get blasted into the Fade with glowing godly powers in their hand. ![]()
They start out a nobody like the Warden or Hawke, but for what we know right now that power in their hand, or that they can hold that power in their hand at all sets them well apart from other mortals. I just don't know how that can work with everything else in Thedas and with the gods of legend, but I suppose if we learn a bit more in Trespasser or in the future that could be made clear.

Thank you, haha. I don't have access to twitter at work (it's harder to browse on the sly than these neutral-color boards) but feel free.
I'm pretty sure it cost me my boyfriend's respect, but hey. ![]()

Debatable. They're not anyone super-important, but they're at least alluded to be capable - which I assume they have to be, considering that they've been all sent on the Conclave in a world that not only is still recovering from the Blight, but is still embroiled in conflicts of all sorts. That itself requires potential Quizzys to not be some random Joe Schmoes.
Lavellans that are sent at the Conclave are trusted with spying on it - likely a difficult task, ESPECIALLY for a First (later Vivienne mentions that for an apostate they're exceptionally skilled). Same with Cadash. Humans are of noble background - only the Qunari origin seems to be the 'schlubbest', though still Adaar is unique due to being raised in Vashoth family.
And in Redcliffe my mage Trevelyan got a bit of unique dialogue with Linnea (the mage we can talk with a bit in the tavern, after we meet with Alexius) and she mentions - with something of jealousy and bitterness in voice - that she was a nobody, while Trevelyan was apparently the 'perfect apprentice', picked specifically by First Enchanter to go at the Conclave.

Look at it this way: unless you're playing an Assquisitor, s/he could hardly do a worse job of godhood than some of the others ![]()
Solas does express a certain respect for the idea of the Maker, a god who sees no need to prove him/herself. Something tells me that direct intervention from gods (whatever you think gods are) tends to go poorly for Thedas. If quizzy does get an apotheosis arc, s/he might be better off in the background, gently nudging events or giving a new protagonist a poke in the right direction.
I certainly wouldn't mind the whole godhood thing as an ending option, because why not? It's just hard to see where that goes when we still have a lot of the bigger picture shrouded in question.
Though I admit to always staying mortal in the Solaufein module for NWN from years ago. But that case was the opposite -- your love was mortal, and you'd be leaving him behind if you went through with it, and the ending slides for that was heartbreaking.
"I should never have let her go..." ![]()
I am now suspicious that all are bots here.
@Sable -(potentially bot Sable even though I've talked to you one can never be sure) - I do enjoy Solas' respect of faith and religions in general. He does acknowledge and see that there is a comfort if you believe. I've repeated about 1k times that I love his discussions of faith with Cassandra to bits. But let's be real - I would have been super happy if Dragon Age: Inquisition was just the two of them talking about the silence of God, faith, and death --- so...pretty much Dragon Age: The Seventh Seal. Obviously - a massmarket game will never get that deep but...ONE CAN HOPE.
More Solas/Felassan-Lavellan (Felavellan!) romance musings:
It's unlikely that the Fen'Harel of legend would love so truly and selflessly, but a dedicated sentinel who has sacrificed his all to serve for millennia could. Wow, I think I've convinced myself to hope this is what really happened. This is incredibly romantic!
Another mini art break.
Cadash reunites with Solas. (Solas and Cadash friendship. Very touching.)
Elf. Mage. Teacher. Advisor. Friend.
Spoiler
Just had to quote this little strip. My snarky, tough little spitfire of a Dwarf (see avatar), and who is a Bullmancer, would totally be a sappy-sap for Solas. Solas and Cole tend to bring that out in her. (she may have slyly squeezed out a tear or two, after Solas says the following to Bull:
Solas: "You are not Tal Vashoth, Iron Bull. Not really."
IB: "Well that's a ****** relief!"
Solas: "You are no beast, snapping under the stress of the Qun's harsh discipline."
Solas: "You are a man who made a choice... possibly the first of your life."
IB: "I've always liked fighting. What if I turn savage, like the other Tal-Vashoth?"
Solas: "You have the Inquisition, you have the Inquisitor... and you have me."
IB: "Thanks, Solas."
*squish*

LOL. I had modded Solaufein in my BG2 game, and I stayed mortal for the exact same reason. I couldn't bear the thought of leaving my PC's sister, her lover, and her brothers behind (I also had Ascension installed and saved Balthazar). Not to mention all her friends.

In general, I really loved the angle that DA:I took on faith, since it's something that I've squared with IRL, and the variety and subtlety of opinions that quizzy and others expressed thankfully went beyond FAITH GOOD and FAITH BAD.
