 Not sure if companions will end up meeting with Solas, but I would expect Cole to probably 'talk to/about' Solas while we're progressing through the temple. Actually really looking forward to what he might say.

As interesting as interactions may be, I think there's a very high possibility that the Inquisitor will be alone when he/she meets with Solas.

 

I also think this is the case- maybe they offer to come with- I imagine Dorian sending Solas a dirty look and then asking if I want him to come along.

Can I just take a moment to mention how awesome Felassan is? Like, he has possibly the clearest view of the political situation of the elves but spends half of the book just making stupid jokes. It's wonderful.

I think so too. If they really made it so that every companion has changed depending on player choices and interactions with a romanced companion are unique, I don't see them also putting resources into the reaction of every version of every companion when they meet Solas. I think it's far too complicated, both story-wise and development-wise. Besides, hopefully there would be some romantic content with Solas. 

 

Considering how reserved Solas is with his affections, I think it'd be pretty awkward if there was kissing while three of your other party members hung around in the background

My partner doesn't bother me much about my being overly excited about Trespasser, because he's actually currently fanboying over MGSV and bugged me to start the download as soon as possible, so that he could start playing as soon as he'd be back from work. He's no better than me, and he gets it.

Sort of off topic, but on the topic of Qunari-  I was wandering around the Fallow Mire yesterday and came across a codex, a letter, I think, about the "horned men" that were there. Were they talking about the Avvar? Why would the Qunari be in the Fallow Mire?

 

I'm searching everywhere for the stupid codex. Maybe I'm imagining things.

Maker noooooo.  The qunari don't need red lyrium to get any nuttier.  They don't need ANY lyrium.  Maybe they can have a nice cup of cocoa and send strongly worded letters instead of an invasion fleet.

 

I'm not sure it's craaazy-type red lyrium?   I'm one of the theory nuts who suspect red lyrium to be the blood of the Sun, and that the blighted, cancerous version we've run into isn't necessarily its natural state.  If you want to kill some time in crazy theory town though, some of the mystery-Qunari armor seems to use a lotus motif:

There are a lot of Egyptian elements in the Qunari aesthetic, and in ancient Egypt the lotus was closely associated with the Sun God.      I'm not crossing out these guys being tied to the Executors, either.  The whole "Powers across the Sea" thing they've got going is hella suspicious in light of the Lovecraftian pointers scattered around.   The King in Yellow, the original faded sigil in Skyhold, the Orlesian theater codices...

 

The parallels would suggest "across the sea" is a hint at Carcosa.   That is not good news.   And if we're talking about a Sun sub-cult within the Qunari, that makes it Very Bad News indeed.

Did anyone notice in the trailer that Solas' eyes look black with red iris? Kinda?
I mean it cuts off right before he turns all around and that could be because A ) he's decked out in ancient elvhen armor and dread wolfness. B ) his eyes might be red?

I had a dream that on finding solas, it turned out there had been TWO SOLASSES ALL ALONG and you had to pick which one to kill.. also it was set in the modern day and Solas A led you to an abandoned warehouse where Solas B stood ominously in front of an eluvian with his back to the door, only to turn and reveal that he was raised in France and that compared to Solas A is kind of a douche (??!? idk either wat my brain is doing)

I can't help but wonder if instead of the Solas we know, we're actually going to meet Felassan in Trespasser.  In the two years post-game, if Fen'Harel is the entity who killed Felassan in the Fade & made him tranquil, he could have reversed that & given him his life back now that he is powerful again.  Maybe the big reveal is that Felassan has always been the one who loved Lavellan & when we learn the truth, we are given the chance to be with him instead of Solas/Fen'Harel.

 

I really hope not.  The way Felassan spoke about his boss it implied they were not a nice person.  I can't see Solas murdering a follower.  Given he showed no interest in the Eluvians, and Briala didn't recognise him at all mean that there is no way Fen'Harel is riding around in Best Elf's rotting meatsack.

 

Solas- I suspect you have questions.

 

Inquisitor Adaar- *ignores what he said*.......Solas!, my friend I am so glad that you are alive and well! * Bear hugs*  ...... *looks down at solas*...O.O....I think I killed him.....*pokes solas with a stick*.....Oh he is alive....Solas I have some questions!
