I have something to get us through the next hour or so, anyway. Three songs. What song is your ultimate Dragon age Origins song? What song really encompasses what the game makes you feel? What about 2? inquisition?

I always wondered where the expression pardon my french came from lol.
Same. We'll just pretend it comes from me always wanting to use swear words, and therefore finding ways to bypass censorship on the many forums I post into.
I Am The One
Mage Pride
I Am The One
Haha well that was easy.
I think for me, for Origins, it has to be "This is War" because of obvious reasons. Dragon Age II is a Florence song, but not "I'm calling you a liar" but instead "Seven Devils", which I think is PERFECT for the mage rebellion and Anders.

As for Inquisition, well...I'm not sure yet.
After hearing it in that awesome fan trailer, Les Friction's World on Fire will definitely be Inquisition's song to me.

Inquisition:
A Rose for Epona, by Eluveitie - from their album Helvetios, which tells the story of the Helvetians, a Celic tribe that lived in Gaul. They spoke a now-extinct language and the region they inhabited now spans several modern nations. During the Gallic wars, Caesar waged a series of military campaigns against Gallic tribes. A Rose for Epona is from the middle of the storyline, so the war has broken out. The Helvetians decided to leave their homeland and migrate to the west coast of Gallia, to start a new life there. In the song, a young Gaulish woman was part of the migration, but after the battle of Bibracte, all hopes that she and her people would ever reach their new home were torn to pieces. Likely, she probably had lost her husband on the battlefields of Bibracte and had to face fact that she can be glad if their common newborn child would not be killed and she herself would be sold into Roman slavery. So, her situation is desperate, and in her despair she turns to her goddess Epona. She feels that Epona has forsaken her people, and accuses her of such.
The fall of the ancient elves - of Arlathan then the Dales - Dalish tribes, the dead elven language, the vanishment of the Creators.. The Long Walk, the Exalted March against the Dales, slavery and subjugation of elves.. yeah. + Celtic undertones in Dalish culture. For me Inquisition is the story of an elf who is fiercely proudly Dalish, who tries as best she can to remember the old ways, who staunchly worships the Creators, who resents humans and the Chantry.. mourns what was lost, carries a lot of hate over what she perceives as historical injustices. Through it she angrily asserts that she doesn't believe in the Maker, follows elven gods (thinks the events at the Conclave were a coincidence/accident/maybe a spirit's doing, BUT if she was chosen by any divine entity it must have been Mythal the Protector, not Andraste or the Maker), defends her people to Solas and Sera and others.. and being apart from her clan and walking in the human world, she sees first-hand the lot of modern City Elves, and comes to resent this too. Her worldviews are constantly tested and challenged, she learns that a lot of what they knew was wrong.. Faith lost and shattered. So imagine how she feels when she meets Mythal, who wasn't locked away all this time, who for whatever reason seems (to her) to have turned away from the elves even though she still walks the earth.. How many elves cried out for their goddess as they died at the hands of humans? She wasn't unable to hear them, she ignored them (in the Inquisitor's opinion). It's not hard to see Mythal in this song's Epona.
And lyrics like "the sky is falling in on me" - I mean, c'mon
the Breach
Haha well that was easy.

Hahaha
It's kind of hard for me to think of songs for each since I usually listen to comedic songs or soundtracks (no idea why), but I'll try:
Dragon Age Origins: Linked Horizon - "Guren No Yumiya".
Translated lyrics here.
Dragon Age II: Muse - "Butterflies And Hurricanes".
For DAI I couldn't take only one song for the game since, for me, it has several aspects:
Dragon Age Inquisition: System of a Down - "Soldier Side" (about the Inquisitor as the Herald) , System of a Down - "Question!" & System of a Down - "Dreaming" (about Solas).
I think SOAD stars here because they speak of politics and wars in many of their songs XD
I also think that I experienced DAI different from the previous games because I played it as a grown up (I'm 24) and because I didn't care as much about the lore in the previous games.
Plus, Inquisitor feels like the most precious PC up until now.
Hahaha

I love Muse so much. They are a m a z i n g live. Best concert I've ever been to.
Edit: Damn it, Evie.
Trying to distract myself from the six days left to wait.... Has anyone asked Weekes (on Twitter or elsewhere) why Solas doesn't have the repeatable "spend time together" scene that the other romances do? And as a follow-up, what that scene would have looked like if it was in the game?

Hey guys, Armdin here, just a quick update with a confession. I've been using my partner's Origins account for a long time to post on here since I didn't have one, but since I've gone PC (and have been for a while now) I thought it was about time I gave him back his account. I've updated his account to show I've moved accordingly, in case this looks a bit suspicious. x)
So, hello from my fresh new account!

I love this site's censoring, because it almost always makes the person look like they are saying something far, far worse than they actually are.

Hey guys, since I've been thinking way too much about the DLc (aren't we all?) I've been wondering what kind of choices we will be offered about the anchor if truly it is killing our quizzie. I believe Solas will be instrumental, so here's what I came up with :
For a quizzie Solas hate :
Only one choice. Solas takes the anchor back, possibly by force, with the knowledge that it might kill the quizzie or otherwise hurt them. Quizzie becomes powerless, but lives. Solas leaves.
for a quizzie Solas is friendly with :
Two options. Either Solas takes the anchor away with the quizzie's approval. Chances are they'll die, but if they survive they'll be safe from the anchor's effect and can live their life as a normal person. Solas leaves
Second option, Solas does something to calm the anchor, at least for a time (A few years maybe? He's more powerful than when he tried to help the quizzie the first time, but the anchor has also grown in power). The quizzie will end up consumed by the anchor once this runs out, but in the mean time they can continue their role as Inquisitor with the power of the anchor and hopefully do as much good as they can with the time they have left. Solas leaves
For a Lavellan in a relationship with Solas :
The two first options are the same as for a friendly quizzie, but now comes a third option. Leave with solas, with the understanding that you will need him to keep the anchor under control and probably will have to stay in the Fade/Crossroad like pocket dimension if you want to survive. You can't see your companions again and you disappear form history, leaving historian to distort your legacy the way they did with Ameridan ![]()
What do you guys think? What's your predictions?
Damn it. I got pick to beta test the new PS4 System Software, but I'm hesitant to do anything to my PS4 incase it all goes horribly wrong. Cannot risk anything happening before DLC times! *rocks back and forth*
I don't know how I keep landing these invites ![]()

I'm trying to think of songs that are a bit uplifting than my usual choices to avoid more hellspiraling
no ballads.
I feel like something with a good beat to it. So er, off we go.
Dragon Age Origins - For my poor blighted HoF who I never seemed to want to make a Warden, a bit of The Reeling by Passion Pit - 'Look at me, oh look at me, is this the way I'll always be?'
Dragon Age 2 - For my bloodthirsty Hawkes - Iron by Woodkid - 'I'm waiting for the call, the hand on the chest
I'm ready for the fight and fate'
Dragon Age Inquisition - umm...
uuuumm..
I think going into this DLC..
Shake It Off - Taylor Swift - 'Haters gonna Hate'

aaand maybe a bit of Shuffle by Bombay Bicycle Club - 'Once you get the feeling it wants you back for more'

I love it! Although I think players who had hate!Solas might feel a bit cheated if the only option they have is to lose the Anchor. I don't think they'd want to change the choices by a lot, so I'd see the friend!Solas options still open to the hate!Solas Inquisitors, but he'd be more aggressive with said Inquisitor.
I'd love for my Lavellan (or any Inquisitor really) to go out with a silent bang like Ameridan did, possibly leading to people thinking the role of Inquisitor is cursed. xD Great stuff!
Good morning! Everyone still losing their shit?
When I woke up, I thought of this:
"It will take them days to get the DLC. Every moment will be agony. They want mercy. Help."
I'm horrible.
So accurate it hurts! +1
Ooh fun. Since I mostly listen to Weird Al, and video game soundtracks, my selections will be from the latter. Unless ya'll want me to find Weird ones. I'll put vids under spoil tags in case anyone wants to listen.
Hahaha you're like me.
I pretty much listen to Weird Al, Flight of the Conchords and video game music.
I just struggled finding songs from animes I've watched and SOAD which is pretty much the only band I listen to (and like, once a year maybe XD).
Okay if I try to think about Weird Al for songs...
DAO: Party In The CIA
Just Grey Wardens as the CIA
DA2: Dare To Be Stupid
As well as Smells Like Nirvana
DAI: Foil
Because this game keeps making me put on my tinfoil hat.
I also want to sing this to Sera:

So I kind of had this idea to do a bit of a...video thank-you card for the Inquisition team...
Like, where it'll show clips of various fans talking about moments that impacted them, how they felt, saying thank-you, saying goodbye, etc. Either that or live blogging myself playing the end of Trespasser- sobbing probably quite openly, and sending it to them so they feel bad.
Alright I've got a question to contribute: if the end doesn't go the way you want, would you rather have never experienced the romance to begin with? Alternatively, would you want Cole to make you forget?
Personally I'd still rather remember even though it hurts like <colourful description>

Never forget.
And it was worth every agonizing, terrible, hellspiraling, sad second.
