I'd feel bad for Cullen regardless of romance. He and Cassandra are going to inevitably have to pick up the pieces of the Inquisition. Even if its disbanded, someone is going to have to carry that burden.

Oh God oh God oh God  I forgot about that.  Hm, maybe I will not do a Cullen romance.

 

But probably there will be some sort of choice.  However, I can't help but think that the Inquisitor has reached epic levels of power, and there's not really a lot of interesting places a story can go with such a character.

 

I'm really getting a BG Throne of Bhaal vibe from this DLC.  That's a good thing, but yeah, I know the ending already.

I've been preparing for my Inquisitor dying for quite a long time. As long as she goes with a bang, and in a meaningful way, I might be ok with it.

 

I'm this close to play Trespasser first with my SeraLavellan playthrough, just to know what I'll get into, in order to prepare myself for the ending on my canon Solavellan run.

For me, The Warden's out there questing for a cure for the Calling, Hawke's alive and blazing it, and I'm p sure the Inquisitor will have a few choices of how to end it as well.

 

They can very easily take a "still totes alive" prior PC out of the picture without them dying - see Warden and Hawke. They just go off elsewhere for Reasons and that's fine with me. :3

Damn, I really don't care about Cullen, to be quite honest with you all. Not that I hate him, I'm just "meh" about him. Never understood the overrated craze about him either, so that doesn't help.

I'm much more concerned about Cassandra, Leliana & Josie here.

The one thing I liked mentioned in the interview is we get to be on the receiving end of the friendship for once! Our companions are going to be worried about us and want to help as we struggle through this final adventure.

 

No kidding. I like how some companions did ask how you are doing in DAI, since it almost never happens otherwise. You play nursemaid and therapist to them through their quests and with their issues, and yet when you're floundering along they end up like, "cool, bro. Did I ever tell you how much my sister hates me?"

 

Sigh.

 

So it will be nice to have them express some concern.
