Maybe that's how all of this ends. It becomes the Inquisition beach episode. I'd certainly walk away from that intrigued.

I'm really getting a BG Throne of Bhaal vibe from this DLC. That's a good thing, but yeah, I know the ending already.

No kidding. I like how some companions did ask how you are doing in DAI, since it almost never happens otherwise. You play nursemaid and therapist to them through their quests and with their issues, and yet when you're floundering along they end up like, "cool, bro. Did I ever tell you how much my sister hates me?"
Sigh.
So it will be nice to have them express some concern.
Uh... just found these in JoH O.o What are those????? Are those orbs?!? Like LadyInsanity - I don't trust anything even remotely sphere-shaped any more
SpoilerSpoilerSpoilerSpoilerSpoiler
There is a similar contraption in the fade, with these orbs. It's of Tevinter origin.
The machine that looks very much like this is a little puzzle with a small reward..
I don't know what these are though @_@

Ah ok, then I care about Cullen too, because I wouldn't want any likeable/not bad characters to die. But there are a lot of people much higher on my priority list than him still.
Out of likes, but here is my short meta plug for Team (Cautious) Optimism:
Friendship matters in BioWare's games. Love matters. That doesn't necessarily mean that everything will turn out peachy for everyone, but more often than not, the games reward standing together with your bros against whatever comes your way. In fact, I'm hard-pressed to think of a single BioWare game that doesn't hammer home The Power of Friendship.
So for those of us who did take the time to befriend or romance Solas...it'll matter. And chances are, it'll impact his story in a positive way.
reminiscing on how a bunch of stuff I thought pre-release came to pass:
now I keenly await the final chapter to see how much of my speculation on his plans etc is true and is not. that'll be the real test of my biowarepsychic ability ![]()

Yes, those are kind of foci, I think they're mentioned in one of the codexes found in Frostback Basin, but I don't remember which - they were supposedly there to 'catch' whatever Razikale was telling her worshipers or something, AFAIK. They MIGHT be something of a pale copy of the Orb...
Anyway - there's also a menacing statue with prayer to Razikale to be found at the top of the temple, as well as quickly scribbled note left by some ancient Tevinter that 'silence has been filled with madness' (or something like it) and they have to run.
Which makes me wonder... Razikale hasn't been turned into Archdemon yet... right? So how is it that silence has turned to madness? This was long before Hakkonites first trapped Hakkon in dragon body, wasn't it?

But very interesting!
I haven't seen that, but Silence is Dumat, will it make sense they are referring to another Old God?
I think I could get on Team (cautious) Optimism.
I'm feeling so many weird things right now though, dread mainly.

Forgive me
The one thing I liked mentioned in the interview is we get to be on the receiving end of the friendship for once! Our companions are going to be worried about us and want to help as we struggle through this final adventure.
One of my favorite parts of ME3 was characters actually coming up to you, and asking if you were alright. Garrus in particular! I am definitely prepared for feels.
Although my Inquisitor is no where near as approachable as my Shepard was. I don't know how I'll really handle her getting offers for help. Her first reaction would probably be to deny everything and scoff at the notion she wasn't handling it.

I'm going to make a big prediction and say that when a non-romanced Solas meets the Inquisitor who he left with high approval, the Inquisitor will be treated with more honest answers to whatever questions they get to ask. Lavellan will probably get an answer to why he left and find out he still loves her (locked romance) and I suspect his words in the trailer are in reference to the Inquisitor's Mark, which is not killing but changing them.
I really love how the Solas thread has become a little family. =)
Now you've got me assigning family roles in my head. It's not going very well.
I'm more attached to this Inquisitor than I was my Warden, anyway. Hawke's different and does not compare.
I'm sad.
I'm the most attached to my Warden, and my favorite ending was actually the one where she died XD I wouldn't mind if the Inquisitor followed suite, it makes for a bittersweet story. I'd prefer it to any of my favorite companions dying, anyways... (which would explain why both Hawke and my Warden died for Alistair. I swear, if he tries to off one more of my characters, he's on his own. This whole 'being saved from a fatal incident by killing my PC' thing is becoming a habit for him. And me)...
Seriously though, so many people would be upset if they killed off the Inquisitor. I can't see them not making it a choice at least.
Solas with a poolnoodle because good eggs sink in water.
I laughed, really loudly. I also stole it and put it on my profile on here. xD
As much as I like having companions return the friendship and show concern for the PC, I don't really expect it since it never seems to be implemented consistently. I will say this for ME3: that was the one game where I really felt like everyone supported Shep as much as s/he supported them, for the full duration of the game.
And this was very much a source of feelings as well. Guh, my Liara feels are also coming back.

You're definitely thread dad.
Also I was stalking your tumblr earlier and I must say I love Gryff. ^.^

Actually, he probably won't ask. He's probably just going to hand my Quizzy a frilly cake and say "The Qunari seem very angry at you. And they have a dragon. You need to stop making people with dragons angry."
With Krogan children?
I could roll with that.
Only if I get to be the nanny.
