It's the same here, hey, I love my boyfriend but.. He's no Solas or Garrus...
However, if compared to humans, he is a kind, smart and compassionate man, maybe if he were a Turian...
Oh, thank goodness my husband is no Solas. At least for me, it's different to pair this imaginary guy with an imaginary woman who has none of my real-world flaws, as opposed to my actual self having a teammate in life.

Sooo~ I've been working on that fanart some more. My Lavellan has such dark skin here! Really cannot wait to apply the lighting effects and draw a semi-interesting background. *hugs Solas* "There there, mister wolf. Misery loves company." Oh, and can I just say that his armor is terrible to draw? It's so frustrating, especially because we only see such a short glimpse of him!

At least there's a reasonable number that romanced Fenris so I don't feel all alone in the didn't-do-Anders corner.

Maybe that's how all of this ends. It becomes the Inquisition beach episode. I'd certainly walk away from that intrigued.

I JUST got back from the pool.... And while there, I was thinking about this exact thing! XD I was in the thread without even knowing it. Solas and this community have consumed my life!
Garrus is definitely my main bioware romance. He might not have been as nuanced a character as Solas, but he hits all the notes I love. He seemed like such a good guy, both as a friend and as a partner. They're just...together. It is hard to imagine one without the other. Not in a creepy way either. I mean...aw man, I made it weird.
The other two romances I like a lot are Solas [obviously], and Morrigan. Morrigan's is interesting for me, since I predominantly play female characters. It took me a while to get a male character in origins, and I was really surprised how much I enjoyed the romance. And then all the additional background in Inquisition just broke my heart. Morrigan's grown so much.
I can't say I'm really committed to anyone in DAII. They were ok. Maybe someday I'll give it another playthrough with Fenris or Merrill.
Alistair-Anders-Solas is Canon.
I did my fair share of the Fenris romance too, I especially love the angry romance version.
I never could romance anyone other than Alistair, so there you go.
Also, I've never told anyone really, but I'm writing a novel. It's a Dragon Age novel, actually, but it's not fanfiction- or at least, it's not about any characters we know. It's set during the beginning of the Inquisition and mostly leaves canon up in the air so you can insert your own, but it's about this girl, Nova, who is kind of a pampered character, and her parents are killed in the conclave. She is left with basically less than nothing and so she (with nothing but some archery skills her brother taught her as a child) decides to join the Inquisition. The story is about her journey to Haven from her estate and all the adventures along the way. Also, romance and combat.

Accidental Kaidan (I WAS JUST BEING NICE) -> Garrus -> Garrus -> Garrus FOREVER

It's okay, I take care of the sewage malfunctions as well a lot of the bills, and overall household repairs.

*delurks* Haven´t posted here for a long long time but this DLC is making me nervous in terms of the closure to solavellan, sort of preparing with Florence and The Machines what kind of man and a bunch of other sad songs

Cullen succumbs to the lyrium addiction. Cassandra is assassinated if she is Divine, or dies saving you if not. Bull turns on you if you allied with the qunari, or dies saving you if you saved the Chargers. Dorian is force-turned into an abomination and you have to kill him. Sera just straight up leaves you because the magic of your hand has gotten too creepy. Josephine breaks it off because her family really needs her to marry the nobleman. Blackwall dies from the taint if he became a Warden, dies to an assassin from whatever noble house he helped to slaughter otherwise.
It could happen.

Well, it's in my signature but yes, Alistair (Cousland), Anders, and Solas. And Liara. Anyone but Liara feels totally wrong.

Ha, well, my one and only completed Shepard was a lesbian so Kaidan wasn't exactly an option. I accidentally got ninjed by Kaidan into love triangle dialogue because I was nice to him.

I rival Fenris so hard so if I ever did that it might have to be the rival. Though in my current, casual/on hold DA2 play, I'm thinking of going for Merrill instead of another Anders romance. We'll see whenever I pick that up again.

Playing DAO for the first time I knew nothing about the game except "interactive novel that lets you romance people" so I WANTED Tamlen. In fact I spent the first half of the game trying to convince myself I disliked Alistair because surely my buddy was going to come back. He said we could talk later. And he did. And the talk went poorly.
Hah. I never cared for Tamlen, though I did do the quasi-romance with him in my Dalish playthrough. Given a choice my Mahariel would have been weeping for Fenarel. I liked him much better.
