final piece of dlc for inquisition announced a few days ago due out sept 8 for pc and next gen. trailer online. set 2 years after story and is an endgame epilogue style. dont wanna spoil details for u without knowing itd be ok?

I managed to get Tuesday and Wednesday off ... I don't even have to tell them why. Which is good, they wouldn't understand. Tuesday to play, Wednesday to wallow in bitterness and despair. I'm hoping I won't but preparing for the worst.

I stayed away from most pre-release stuff since I wanted to go in as unspoiled as possible so it's fun to look at all the speculation now, with total hindsight.
I swear some days it feels like I'm the only one who romanced Kaidan.
At least there's a reasonable number that romanced Fenris so I don't feel all alone in the didn't-do-Anders corner.

On the note of the next (possible) game ... I think this time I'm actually glad we'll be playing a new character. At the end of DAO, I wanted the warden to come back for DA2. At the end of DA2, I was eh on the idea of Hawke again but I wouldn't have been against it. Earlier I would have been totally for the Inquisitor to come back but with Trespasser wrapping things up I think I might be ready to move on to a new protagonist. I guess it will depend on how Trespasser ends things.

Oh yes CREATORS BLESS MODDERS!!! I was super down in the dumps about the whole game (partly b/c of some RL awful news I had received), but like not only did not get Cullen, who I really wanted, I didn't get Blackwall, and towards the end I was wanting Solas and didn't get him either ;_; when the game came out I tried Bull but ummm that was totally not for me, and then after awhile I tried Dorian but didn't make it past Haven... then the Equal Opportunity Solas mod came out... and lo and behold... choirs of angels began to sing... I made the cutest Lavellan EVAR... even wrote a multi-chapter fanfic to go with their sweet sweet (sad) love haha
I have actually started a "test" Lavellan to re-romance Solas (even though it feels like I'm cheating on my poor Alin lavellan) so that I can play Trespasser and see if it's too bad/cruel... cause I will let Alin and Solas live in headcanon land if the DLC is too awful lol also not sure the romance mod will carry through to the DLC though I don't see why it wouldn't...
I just checked the Keep. I have spoilers turned on but I see the Descent is there and so is a new "hidden" section with 5 more hidden items in it.

nah while I am strangely attuned to knowing the future of DA, I'm not that good. my username at the time was Carbon-based (biologist here). the forum back-changes old posts you made so they display the new name after a change I guess.
I switched to Solas not long after his name dropped because I was completely taken with and intrigued by bald elf mcsmugs from the first tiny look at him in concept art or whatever it was. iirc I wasn't super fast tho but I guess nobody wanted the name cause at the time only like .. 5-6 people (or so it seemed) to post in excitement about the bald elf, lmao

But oh how times change... Solas is my favorite character now, also my second favorite character over all (behind Fenris). I fell for him the moment my first Lavellan met him, when he grabbed his hand and closed that Rift... meow... *heavy breathing*

Okay, so... I don't want any spoilers regarding the content. However, "endgame epilogue style" makes me curious. What does it mean? Does it imply an end of the DA series? And if not, will it show us the development of the Inquisition?
Because the Inquisition as an organization has been a major issue for me. It is supposedly so big, famous, and important that any new protagonist must be associated somehow, either being a direct member or having some sort of affiliation. But that would limit the RP possibilities, e.g., regarding the background of the character. However, if the next protagonist did not work with or for the Inquisition that would mean that the organization (1) turned suspect (ugh!), (2) lost influence, or © dissolved completely. Or (which would be exciting but is unlikely to happen) that the protagonist follows very subjective, possibly anti-social goals. (Otherwise it would not make any sense for a protagonist to work alone, I think.) Only way out would be a DA2 styled story, where a protagonist becomes the unwanted hero who is just pushed into current affairs. But even then it wouldn't be quite convincing for her to never seek alliance with the Inquisition once the immediate thread were apparent.
Ah, sorry, I got a bit carried away.
