I have the dumbest question. I auto level my companions. Do they automatically update their own slots for higher level abilities or do I need to go in and do that on my own?

I've just bought in my junk food for Tuesday! Chocolate hobnobs with nutella spread, cheesy puffs, sweet popcorn, nachos with dip. I plan to sustain myself on this for the full day/night (got the day off work too, MEEP!) I also bought in two bottles of wine and some Pepsi for the Jack Daniels I have in the cupboard. Of course, I don't expect to actually eat and drink all of this, but I figure I should always be prepared for the absolute worst case scenario cause I imagine nothing short of my chair spontaneously combusting will tear me away from my PC.

 

BRING IT ON SOLAS!!! I'm prepared for your worst. You can't break my heart if I've filled it with delicious sticky toffee. Emotion will not overcome me, though diabetes has a good chance.

I just finished the Solas romance for the second time.... I need chocolate and a hug.

Lol I'm totally expecting this yeah. Mostly because it's a really common story trope when you have a (especially female) mortal/muggle dating a (usually male) super hero, supernatural being, or person with special powers on a mission... The love interest always gets left out of the action and is usually just there as a plot device to make the hero realize something, etc. Hopefully the devs are better than that and will give us a little something more to sink our teeth into, even is it's not exactly what we want considering the circumstances.

 

But it will be so lame! Lavellans are not some fragile fade flower princesses, they are halla queens of badassery. You're the Dread Wolf and you have some world-changing mission to complete? Bitch, please, I did some spoilery stuff with titans while you were gone that will raise the hairs on your scruffy pelt!

Personally, I never judge anyone based on where they are from. And I will join in with the sentiment, if you like Solas I already like you

Also can I just say how much I enjoyed reading the reminiscing post from @Solas and others! DAI was my first Bioware game (since then I have already played ME and now playing DA2), so I have missed all of the speculation but it all looks like so much fun (and also funny! )!

I can't believe not more people are freaking out over lady insanity's solas tumblr post ... she knows more than any of us do and so her guesses are much more educated than our's. If she's even partially right, the DLC is going to be very depressing.

To be honest, as much as I enjoy her speculation, her ending is very similar to where the relationship has already been. I don't think it would be 'intriguing' or even interesting story-wise to have a scenario similar to the core game Solas break up. Having said that, I might be talking crap and she might be right. Regardless,  we will probably get a bit more than just 'I have to go' line because THERE ARE QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED, GODDAMMIT! XD  (<--- I could be talking crap again)

Welp, I suppose that means that the Anchor may not be fading (unless it means something else entirely).

 

Far-fetched DLC prediction: we'd be able to choose to pass on the Mark (though not necessarily walk away unchanged by the whole ordeal), but only to the huge green-blue-glowy Saarebas we saw in the trailer.

 

Crazy future prediction. The Anchor will be shared between a great deal of important people or maybe even future PCs of next DA installments, making them basically the superheroes of Thedas (didn't the devs call Inquisitor 'a superhero' recently? They did!)

 

AND THUS THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS WAS BORN! (with Dread Wolf as CEO)

Also, just because someone has a good amount of knowledge about something doesn't mean all of their guesses are correct. Back in the day I guessed Solas was Fen'Harel - and back then my knowledge of Dragon Age was built up on one watched Let's Play of Origins, the cinematics of Dragon Age 2 and the (Elven) entries on the wiki. And I still guessed correctly.

Oh no, please don't post achievement spoilers, you're making me leave this forum.

 

I think I have to go anyway, just in case. It's just so difficult not to read this thread, you're all awesome and it's great to know there are othe rpeople crazy just like me.

 

I'm still partly in team optimism - no closure means everything is possible.   And I hope you will all enjoy (or endure) whatever is to come.

 

However this ends, let's think about the bright side: Solas will appear in future DA games and this is something to look forward to.
