I am experiencing this same thing.

 

Like, I wanna know. But I also know it's the last Solavellan thing, so I kinda wanna experience it fresh.

 

But then I think back to all the pre-release DAI spoilers where someone let us know Solas was Fen'Harel AND took out/killed/absorbed/whatever Flemeth who was also Mythal and we were so blown away we thought it was fake. But then playing through the game for the first time and spotting all those "hints" in advance was kinda cool.

 

I dunno. I'm torn.

 

I guess I really just wanna know if I HAVE to brace myself for nothing but tragedy or if there is some note of happy somewhere. But that's pretty damn vague and personally variable to ask a dataminer to tell you without going spoiler heavy.

 

Gosh, remember back when times were simpler and we just thought he was an adorkable elf mage nerd and we hoped soooooooooo hard that he might be romancable? Wow, that feels like centuries ago.

Also very torn.  I like to think that I have myself fairly prepared for whatever comes.  I wave a Team Optimism flag, but I'm not desiring nor expecting a super happy ending.  I just want some form of closure and answers for my Lavellan.  After going through the game my first PT unspoiled romancing Solas, I don't think Trespasser could do anymore to me.  Oops, better be careful with that confidence.  But yeah ... I am 99.99999% sure I want to do Trespasser with no spoilers.  I'm not finished the other DLCs yet so I might have to vanish come Tuesday.

I think it must be game files and such- part of the DLC is on the patch, so, it must be files beyond the achievements.

I don't wanna know. It's way more memorable when you don't see it coming. I want this to haunt me FOREVER. I care about what happens to everyone, not just that beautiful bald bastard, and I want to experience those feels first hand.

 

Luckily I should be busy for the next four days. It's only Tuesday that will be the painful wait (it won't be out here until Weds). I'm sure I can make it...

Lol same here!  It's too tempting.  For the most part I don't mind spoilers.  Well as long as *I* make the choice to spoil it for myself.  But I really wanna go in blind!

Although I would warn people that this is prime troll hour, and its relatively easy to fake something that looks somewhat like a datamine. So even if you do see something, don't panic unless its a reputable source.

But I want to experience this thing full throttle, and bawl my eyes out and cry all the tears and look like a terrible mess of a human being at the end.

Usually I don't mind spoilers - I figure that good story will keep me engaged anyway.... But I don't want spoilers for this. Especially that those are sort of 2nd hand spoilers - until we play, we'll never know how whatever people have found will factor into the plot.

 

Plus, I do really want to approach this DLC as sort of a 'clean slate' - minimum preconceptions, minimum expectations, minimum speculations... and minimum spoilers.

After reading a bunch of comments on the Dragon Age Facebook page... a lot of people want to kill Solas...a lot of people are going to be disappointed. I hope a lot of people will change their minds after the DLC.

On the potential spoilers - Usually I don't really mind and I don't get mad when people spoil plots for me but this time around... I kinda want to find out for the first time when I will be playing the game. Maybe because I have been waiting for answers - any answers - for so long that spoiling it through patch notes or by watching someone's stream would be really anticlimactic.

 

Plus what if we find out SOMETHING REALLY INTRIGUING from the patch notes and still have to wait 5 days until the DLC to understand what that something we found out means! *torture!*

 The EU PS4 store just doesn't update until Wednesday so I, and any other PS4 owners in the SCEE region will be waiting an extra day as well. 

 

I just hope they don't forget. That happened with the Legacy DLC for DA2. I waited all day for the store to update and when it did, it wasn't there. I couldn't get a response from Sony so I came to the BW forums and managed to get a response from some BW staff who forwarded the message. Had to wait an extra day for them to get it up. It was annoying because I'd gotten the day free for it.

 

Please don't do that to me again O___o

I spent a month avoiding this thread when I was completing DA:I on-and-off whilst writing my dissertation.

 

I still managed to spoil myself and find out Solas was the Dread Wolf.

 

Until that point I genuinely thought my Lavellen would wander off with this dreamer mage and they'd spend the rest of their lives travelling and exploring this world and the fade together

 

I am picky about spoilers when it comes to anything more than what's officially released (e.g. any leaked surveys, any hidden info, I try and avoid).

 

(Also, my internet's really shoddy tonight - this patch is taking hours to upload, argggh).
