You guys know what I want if I cannot have a bittersweet Solavellan ending? Solas breaking down and crying.
If we go with the feels, then gimme

Don't stress, my dear.
Thanks. Trying not to but I kinda got burned with the ME3 original ending which I hated. I was really excited about that game and I was really disappointed by the end so ... yeah.
I just did that. However, you folks who don't want to cry too much should check it out so you can cry now and steel yourself for what might happen later.
That's why I need spoilers. I was so broken-hearted when Solas broke up with my Inky, I know I could't bear it if this dlc just twists the knife that much more. I will read every one of your spoilers to keep me from suffering this TMJ from what all this jaw clenching has caused me.

If you want to be spoiled I can PM you with the thoughts we are all coming up with on Reddit. I don't think spoiler tags are going to help hide things especially if clicked by mistake, so they shouldn't be used here.

In that case....
I know I would appreciate people taking spoilers out of here, whether to PM or even to a new thread with a big fat SPOILERS in the title.
This is THE end of the game, so with this coming up aleady, and some unable to play until six days from now (EU PS4)....better to not accidentally spoil anything for someone else.

Yes please!
I'm starting to feel very happy that I got to move new furniture all weekend now... All them spoiler buttons look so tempting but I really want to go in blind. Maybe I'll use the time to think about what Lavellan might have done during two bloody years...
We come to our first dilemma. Do we hold Solas responsible for his direct actions - giving the Corypheus the orb - or do we hold him responsible for both his direct and his indirect actions?
Basically, the actions I hold Solas responsible for or partly responsible for is giving Corypheus the orb and all the things Corypheus has directly done with the orb. For example the Breach and the death and destruction of the conclave, and all the chaos that resulted from that, is partly Solas' fault since without Solas' orb Corypheus could not have done that. Now the things Corypheus does without the orb, like trying to turn factions to his side willingly or almost always unwillingly, is not on Solas but solely Corypheus because Corypheus could do that with or without Solas' orb.
Your gun analogy is good but I think it works better if instead of a parent giving a child a loaded gun, it is a person getting another person a gun despite a background check or more accurately a person giving another person a gun in a back alley. Solas knows who and what Corypheus is, giving us insight into him throughout the game. So he would know that whatever Corypheus had planned, it wasn't good. So it'd be like someone giving someone they know is shady a loaded gun. Whatever that person with the gun does with that gun, the person who gave it to them is also partly responsible.
Can we please not have spoilers or reactions to spoilers here?
Edit: including whether we can get any sort of resolution to the romance?
I think we should just take all spoilers at all, even hidden under spoiler tags, out of the forum and into pm.
We did have a discussion a few pages back about the spoilers and the consensus was to keep the spoilers to PMs. Thread is kinda busy so maybe some didn't see that. I'll just have to leave the forums til after I play the DLC if there's going to be discussion.

This. Pre release we made a Solas spoiler group, it took them all out of here and was much appreciated.
If Solas feels he must walk "alone" and yet keeps making these mistakes, maybe he should consider keeping someone by his side that can give him feedback, like "Sweety, I really don't think you should give that to an ex-magister that invaded the Maker's Palace."
Seriously dude, haven't you heard "behind every great elven god is a great inquisitioner." Just sayin' ![]()
Edit to change "darling" to "sweetie" to avoid confusion.
This makes me wonder, tangentially, if this is why BioWare has so far given a short period for promotion of DLC content and release? Less spoiler potential. Less upset fans. More surprises.

Then we should do something like this again, maybe. =)
I'm definitely not going to spoiler more for myself.
That was the only thing I wanted to know, anyway.
So, whatever this group decides to do, I'm fine with it. ![]()

When I was reading your post, I thought you meant Vivienne at first with the word darling until I read the final sentence. ![]()

I think Mike Laidlaw mentioned something like this at one point during PAX. Less waiting, less spoilers... likely more people buying the DLC. Win-win.

And with out Hawke there would be no free Corypheus? Solas tells he didn`t believe some on like Corypheus would unlock the orb, maybe coryfish surprised even him.

Do we really know? At all? Solas' analysis during the course of the game seems pretty vague, very much based on what he would expect rather than what he knows for certain. From Bianca we know that Cory used the warden from Legacy for a while, what is there to say Solas didn't believe that was all there was to him as well? Furthermore, I think we should take into account what he says about unlocking the orb, about how he would never have believed Cory would unlock it. It is entirely possible he thought the orb would kill Cory when it unlocked (and I think it did, but Cory used his nifty get-out-of-death-free card), fixing two problems with one boom.
I would argue the situation might have been like giving a person who has never seen a gun a loaded one with the safety on. Fully secure in the belief that they don't know how to make it a danger.
And with out Hawke there would be no free Corypheus? Solas tells he didn`t believe some on like Corypheus would unlock the orb, maybe coryfish surprised even him.
And maybe that's why he took the name "Pride". Just to remind himself what a ****** he was. ![]()

Poor Mike and Patrick are being bothered by people on Twitter. They want answers to what they found and he rightfully isn't giving any. Seems Twitter and Tumblr are also unsafe if you are avoiding spoilers.
