On Maferath's Statues: Okay, yeah, that's weird. According to most of the information we have, the darkspawn slowly rose up in between dwarven thaigs, raiding. Presumably they were focusing on getting as many dwarven women as possible to bolster their numbers. Over the course of fifteen years, the majority of the Dwarven Empire lay in ruins, with Orzammar, Kal'Sharok, and I think Gundaar and one or two other thaigs sealed off and surviving, just barely. This is all many years before Andraste or Maferath were born, so the statues' presence doesn't make much sense. Maferath never really dealt with darkspawn. Maybe Urthemiel has a sense of humor, maybe it's a reused art asset, making the darkspawn are making a mockery of Andrastianism like they made a mockery of Cailan's body at Ostagar. Really good catch, though.
For Solas and Fen'harel: I'm a fan of the Lone Wolf theory. While Mythal proves that they can hop between bodies, hers is a special case of dying and ending up with a human body instead of an ancient elf immortal one. Hence, the periodic body-hopping. It's possible that the gods are just spirit-elf combos, but from Geldauran's little speech in Jaws it seems more likely that they're just elves that managed to game the system of magic itself to achieve divine power and rule over their kin.
The place where they meet: It does have a statue representing Mythal and one representing Solas on the Eluvian. But that's a common motif in Arlathan architecture. Actually, just flat out Fen'harel is a common motif in Arlathan architecture, with the Kirkwall Freedom sign that seems to be associated with him being the gravestone marker as well. (Interesting that ancient elves seemed to bury their dead, Dalish like, rather than incinerate them. Did they not have a problem with hostile spirits possessing corpses, or did they just figure they could handle it?)
Regardless, LadyInsanity went to freecam and discovered that they're in a section of the Crossroads, but since they're both gods, the irritating mist is gone and the place is sunlit. It's possible that they just put a similar location in the same worldspace to save time and energy, like Mythal's Fade hang-out and the one from Here Lies the Abyss. *shrug*
I use pretty similar rationale to Frank. I'm actually starting to consider sacrificing Hawke more often, because Loghain or Stroud or Alistair heading back to Weisshaupt to report on what happened? That makes perfect sense. Hawke, when Hawke has just finished saying how Corypheus is his responsibility and wants nothing to do with the Wardens? That's...eh...no.
But Fenris.
