I think that is what turned me off. I had a bad first impression with him.
In DA2 and DAI the romances are more obvious thanks to the heart, but the guessing was funny in DAO and similar to real life. I've yet to have a jealousy in DAI. I even had Anders asking why I chose Fenris though I never flirted with him.
I think Anders will always comment on it at a certain point if Hawke is in a relationship with Fenris or Merrill.

I don't know what it is, exactly, that I didn't like. I just didn't mesh with her personality. My inquisitor didn't either. She was much more aloof in DAI anyway. Who knows.
Yeah, when I met her in DAI, I felt kind of sad and disappointed at what she had become because she wasn't my Leliana anymore. I never hardened her in Origins. My Lavellan was scared of her for a while.
When I did her quest and she found her way again, I was super happy. And then of course, she became my Divine.
But I just find it interesting/amusing how many Leliana haters there are but I shouldn't be surprised. It's kind of just how it goes. I mean, look at the Solas debates.

Then again I didn't love the companions as much in Origins either. I loved Alistair, and Shale, and I guess I always ran with Wynne cuz healer, but I always played an archer so I had no need for Leli.
She was alright but too preachy for me. I do not believe in the Maker nor do I believe he or whatever talked to Andraste is good, and I hate the Chantry.
For me Alistair and Oghren were the most fun, as well as Shale's wicked humor! I also have a soft spot for Loghain after having a looong talk with him, but that's it. Fenris and Varric caught my eye in DA2 and in DAI Varric again, Cass, Cole, IB, Dorian and Solas were favs. That says a lot lol

I rotated her in sometimes because I liked her but my only complete playthrough is as a dual-wield rogue, so I didn't need her much either. My party was usually Alistair, Morrigan, and Wynne. I had her in the final battle though, since Morrigan ditched us and all.
I do want to do an Origins replay, and this time as another class and romance Leliana.

I'm a weird one. I like it and I adore all of the Hissing Wastes, but in the Approach 2 areas I love most are the mine with the OG prison and the temple where time stops!

And the Abyss... I don't know what's in it, but it looks so badass. I always take some time to just get close and STARE into it... and wonder if it stares back

I get creeped out in the Approach when I see the blackened areas from the 2nd Blight. The blackness and all the bodies is just so... ugh! Your mind wonders to what it was like to have lived during that time and it's frightening!

I actually really like the Hissing Wastes. It's a romantic sort of desert, vast, empty, at night, the way all respectable deserts should be. The surface dwarven ruins are also very interesting.
But the Western Approach... the looks of it just makes me really sleepy, and except for the Still Ruins, I don't find any of the quests there appealing.
The Exalted Plains can be a grind, but there are so many elfy things there plus Solas' personal mission, so it evens out to be a map I like.
If I have to claim a least favorite map... Hinterlands, hands down.
