I got one like back just in time because that is a great reference.
Now I can't get the theme song out of my head.
O-E-A! TaleSpin! O-E-O! TaleSpin!

Seems like someone made a Solas hair meshmod.

I like the feel the baldness gives him.
He feels like a different person with hair, less wise, less tragic.

I agree! But gosh, the number of people I've seen on Tumblr (and even Deviantart) who are still crying up to this point on why Bioware chose for Solas to be bald is starting to irritate the heck out of me. ![]()

Wasn't that why the devs decided to keep him bald in the first place? Because none of the hairstyles they tried gave him the learned and wise hobo appearance quite like the bald look managed to give? ^^
I think they made the right choice. He was odd to look at at first, but once I got passed that it's just... him. Solas!
I like dreads well enough for Fen'harel, but that's for when he was a puppy. x) Terrible pun intended.

Yes, but then why are the sentinels bald, and why are all the ancient elves bald in their mosaics?

Meh, for me it's not very different from some people complaining about Cassandra or Josephine. Some people can't get over the fact that some characters don't look like THEY want him/her to look, even if their ideas/preferences don't really fit the character.

Likely Uthenera-related.

I can't even begin to remember what the word is called, so I'm just gonna say "The Big Elf Sleep" causes it, but that's speculation. As far as I'm aware nothing solid has been said from the devs.

Yup! Also, Solas in earlier drafts was a lot different from the Solas we have now. Earlier versions had him lie a lot. ![]()

It's quite amazing that the full interview isn't online yet...

It could be uthenera related issues. Or it could be they had a lice problem. ![]()
The ancient Egyptians often had their hair cut very short or even off to get rid of lice, allow them to wear whatever kind of fancy hats or wigs they wanted, and because goddammit it is hot in Egypt. Vivienne's hairstyle is also basically designed for optimum hat usage. I'm already picturing the Creators wearing their opulent hats, only for Geldauran to be banished for sneaking in dressed like Xanthous from Dark Souls. ![]()
Ugh, the hair is just creepy on him, imo. Like a Halloween wig that was stuck on with glue for a joke.
And...oopsie. My Leliana is a horrible person now, all because of my forgetting to talk to her at Haven. Ah well, we'll be finding out about just how far she sinks when we get into Trespasser. It will be interesting.
I'm with the uthenera explanation too. Either turning off things like hair growth helps conserve energy while sleeping, or the hair falling out is one of the first signs of the weakening of the body during uthenera, or it's just practical to not have any hair while asleep for millenia: who knows if some nugs might decide to nest in it.

I hardened Leliana in my canon. The best spymaster is a hardened spymaster.
Edit: Top Solas. Have some mage Solas from Solas-an.

At least there's modders for the people who do want it. ^^

KILL IT WITH FIRE.
Aren't you still sore from when I beat you the first time?
Uh, I think I won that fight.
Ah, I see people still awkwardly insisting on Solas having hair. Hmmm. Still no.
Bioware is so bad at making hair, it's almost a blessing in disguise they decided to make him bald. #TeamBaldSolasForever
There's a reason almost all of my KotOR characters, Shepards, and Wardens are either bald or have very short hair. ![]()
so, I moved into my new house today. we travelled 80 odd miles but only got a flat tyre at the supermarket literally one mile away. So I walked the final mile whilst my parents fretted about their fifteen-year-old car falling apart (and they ask me why I don't want to learn to drive, lol). It was... hectic to say the least. but it's 9pm and I've finally moved everything in, unpacked all my clothes, folders, food, and books (well ok, I have two big bags of books still left), and cooked my first meal in my new house. woop woop.

aw no, why would you do that to Solas?
looks way better bald.
On a random note, I've got a quest to find about 48 Hard in Hightown books around Skyhold. Has anyone else gotten this quest before? What do i get at the end? Do i get to romance Varric cause I'd be on that like chesthair on...Varric.

As far as I remember... Nothing. D: I never got anything from the librarian at any rate. He didn't even acknowledge me. D:

Varric, what do I need to do to max your approval? I'm not trying to take Hawke's place, I just wanna be your buddy. ![]()

Just a complete quest, unfortunately. (I wish it would unlock a Varric romance! Or a quest to make VarricxCass a thing.) I still see all the glowing books around after completing it. They're re-findable--as in you can just click the same books instead of finding all different ones.
